@@twilliamrc4wd Not sure if trying to correct me or just mentioning the rc4wd ones, but i used the proline ones to great success, generally don't like rc4wd tires for anything other than looks
To give you an idea I live in the state of Maine. I have run these tires on rocks rocks covered with moss rocks covered with seaweed which is stupid slippery obstacles made out of wood obstacles made out of plastic and so far these are the best all-around tires I have found. I've had them on an hpi venture, an scx 10ii and 10iii and now on my vp phoenix..
You finally got a set, but I have the 1.9 rc4wd mud slingers, there my favorite tire to use for everything, you want to crawl it works good, you see mud you can go right into the mud. There a good all around tire
I took a set of rc4wd boggers to Denver and they were awesome on those rocks. They do OK on the polished river rock here in Iowa but the swampers are better everywhere but mud and snow 😂
I’ve found myself waiting for your videos. I’m learning a lot from you and I appreciate you. I used to be a straight basher, but I’ve found that I’m not anymore! 🤣 I’ve got two TRX4s and I thought those were crawlers but now I know from you they really aren’t. They can be once stripped most of it and changed the body. Thank you again for your content I’m loving and learning a lot your top shelf the best thanks brother!
Bought them for my Trx4. Cut the small lugs in half with side cutters, they dig through snow way better and clear out with high wheel speed. Non vented, no issues so far in Canadian winter temps. Glad I bought these over the RC4WD mud slingers.
If you're looking for a reason to remove them, they make the course too easy 😉 I have those tires on my TRX-4 and they work rather well for snow. The cold weather stiffens them up slightly, but they're still malleable, so it works well.
Those tires are the best. I have them on my capria and a rift that I built for crawling. Mine are the 2.2 but I have to say they are good in all conditions. I just got 3 inches of snow and it goes very well. Also it does wheeles in the mud. I have the proline to stage inserts.
If you do want to take the little lugs out of boggers to make them more aggressive I found that a big set of toenail clippers works the best and it even looks like the were cut with a real tire groover
I have a set of 2.2 hobbysoul ghost rims with the same tires .. I have had them for 3 years and the more you drive with them the better they get . Awesome tires
i put these on everything i have . best tire i have had yet . only complaint is coming out of water going across sand because the sand sticks to them . had the 2.2 out ln 4 inches of snow today and was not disapointed
These are literally my favorite tires. Have them on 3 of my rcs. Scx24, trx4 high trail k10 and 2.2 xl on my ryft. Best bang for the buck. I did cut the small lug out on the outside of the tires on my k10 and was pretty surprised it did help alittle with an already fantastic tire.. Keep up the great work 👊
I bought a used Wraith with the RC4WD branded version of these and appear to be very similar if not the same. I am ordering a few more sets of these in rebranded names.
I've run several rigs on Amazon mud slingers. Good performance but I usually run them for looks. Nothing wrong with them but I've generally found other quality tires better for traction on rocks. Could also be that my rigs are very heavy and need stiffer lugs and harder rubber though. If you run a rig 10+ pounds I recommend only running g8 compound as the stiff lugs can support the weight of the vehicle when grabbing onto terrain. Found that super swampers, krawlers and Baja pro work great on g8 for heavy rigs
My foams broke down fast and tires can tare easy. Have the exact same set on my trx4. Love the videos man. Thank you, have learned alot of info about the hobby from you.
I’ve never had Hobby Soul tires but I’ve had a few pair of beadlocks & they aren’t cheap Amazon wheels their wheels are very well made & look incredible.
Dude, just wait till the release compound wears off and the foams break in. They're like the blob. Absolutely zero sidewall strength but damn will they go straight😆👍 I've had a few sets, the 2.2 mudslingers are even better and they make an XL version. Just sayin. [Cough Ryft Cough]
I have a set of those and they do perform pretty well. I have no reason to take them off other than aesthetics and wanting to run certain tires at certain locations
I concur with the opinion that many tires improve with use. It would be interesting to take a pair of these tires and (on a belt sander or some such) cut the knobs to half height, and maybe get rid of the largest overhanging sidewall knobs if one wanted a tire for rocks. I've noticed that tall knobs may make the tires feel squirmy and loose traction where the same tires rubbed down to half height gives more reliable traction. The only down side to driving them down is I notice the side knobs wear faster. than the main tread.I find performance on dirt to be secondary to rock performance as like you, I have a dedicated area to drive where I can keep the tires clean. You've been an excellent source for kooky experiments with equipment so consider this challenge! keep up the great content, and remember it's okay to have a play day with the camera inside.
Cool. Yeah if I were serious into comps and had these tires to run yeah cutting the tread depth down would reduce the lug rolling over. I really just wanted these wheels but got tires with it. LoL
Only reason to take them off them wheels is to put them on the CJ for a more scale appearance and to have a good tire on that ol jeep. They look awesome.
Those are a direct, 1:1, rip off of RC4WD Mud Slingers. I have a set of 2.2s on my TRX4, and they are fantastic tires, not only for mudding, but they work surprisingly well when crawling too, as your video demonstrates. These tires are literally a copy of those.
Joe, maybe look into a channel sponsor such as "Hello! FRESH" if you want to have easy to cook meals. I'm super thrilled there aren't disruptions during your videos. I seem to lose attention in other videos when they go off track and start in with the sponsorship talk. But those videos are also like 30 minutes and longer. But anyway, I can see your interest in eating healthier, so maybe that would be a win-win for you & the channel. Just keep the sponsor talk short. LoL. Or split it up througout the video or something.
I did that years ago when they first started knocking off the hyrax and their compound was very bad, didn’t hold well and they chunked up quick. I feel they’ve got a LOT better now with these.
I got a set of 4(for $20) Hobbypark tires on my Capra that look totally scale, afford great grip, and show little to no wear after 2 years of regular use. I believe that "you get what you pay for", but you needn't simply throw money at things.
@@joshmoore1397 same foams that came with them . I think a set of two stage foams would unlock them even better. If you're crawling or trailing multiple terrains these are definitely the tires to have .. if you're crawling straight up rocks there are tires that have better grip on rocks. But these will still get you there .
These aren’t knock offs, it’s a totally different design if you put them together. I run true boggers and these mud slingers from rc4wd. Yes they look similar but really they look more different than you’d think
The only thing you need to do with those is CUT 'EM. Watch what they do without those small lugs. They start grabbing like crazy! I have one set that has carried my primary rig through all 4 Axialfest Badlands. I'll replace them this spring. Coming from fullsize offroading, the only reason they exist on the real boggers is to satisfy the DOT.
@ExocagedRC In my experience, the flexing of the large lugs provides the mechanical bite that you observed. Getting rid of the small ones allows that to happen more readily. They can get a cleaner hold on any imperfection on the rock. It was great meeting you at Badlands last year, looking forward to June.
Proline boggers are like "cheater" tires in natural rock terrain and creeks. Yes even being so tall
Wait until you try Jconcepts "Holds". They're basically like a cut bogger, with a superior compound that's better than prolines compounds
Those are the RC4WD 1.9 interco boggers Pro-Line never made a 1.9 size they make a 1.9 size inner diameter butt a 2.2 size tire

Have a bacon cheeseburger and think about it... with grilled onions... yea thats it!
Great tires even better when the small lugs arr cut , its like fingers grabbing the rocks.I always have a few sets on hamd.
The Hobby Soul tires are awesome. I run them on a few of my rigs. They climb amazing on the rocks and other terrain I play on!!!
they fit the truck to good, i cant belive it myself, and i have a set,lol
I’ve got several of the Hobby Soul tires to try out in the 1.0 sizes. Tread and compound feels good though.
👍😁😎✌️I’ve had boggers on my night crawler for a year or so now and they have been pretty good so far.
I ran cheapo Amazon crawler tire/wheel sets when I comp crawled. Ppl were shocked when they seen the names & asked where! Lotta testing to do tho🤷♂️

Put a set on my OG LNC after watching some videos of them. Very impressed. Trying to decide if I need to vent the wheels for more tire squish.
I've been running the Amazon mudslingers for yrs on a few rigs. Favorite cheap tire. I cut the small lugs off for trail trucks
My wife got my 2 sets of those in 2.2 for Christmas for my 6x6x6 scx10 build. Haven’t run them yet but very excited

I run a set of Hobby Souls on my Axial and they are awesome! We crawl wet rock up creeks and brooks and they are monsters!
I will spend the money on the Pro-line Boggers every time. The reason is that I love scale detail of the brand name on their tires.
True

I got those exact same tires and wheels same color everything but in 2.2 they’re not bad
the best tires I've ever seen!!!
Looks great on that truck
I run 2.2 mud stingers and love them
Dang it Joe! Now I want a set of boggers lol
I have the OG Mudslingers and their great at everything. Had many others and they are as good or better at most things
Maybe a different foam it seems only to be grabbing on the nubs not much deflection in side wall
Hmm wonder if u can get just the tires? Have another set of wheels I'd like to go for my gladiator
Wow those are awesome
Only reason I would consider is boggers don’t belong on rocks! 😂
Really love your Chanel
That whole rig is just set on kill mode!
