I’m a 31 year old man, been experiencing slow, progressive MPB since I was 20.
There were times where any effort to save my hair felt hopeless, and I actually started shaving my head. I discovered AT last year. I started using the shampoo, conditioner, stimulating spray on top of my other protocols. Those additions alone yielded the best results I’ve ever had. I just started using the DHT blocker last week, and I’m excited to see how it may help.
Just wanted to share my story and express my sincere gratitude for all of your work, and the genuinely helpful products. There’s a lot of BS goops, goos, lotions and potions out there, but AT is the real deal, and hands down the best products I’ve ever used.
    Thank you!

I'm experiencing an itchy sensation on my chest and eyebrows. When I scratch, some hair comes out, and it appears broken or damaged. I also have very thin hair on top of my scalp. Could this be due to inflammation or nutritional deficiency?"

    Dear William ,
I am one of the people who is watching you on what’s up. I lost my hair on top of my head and down to the side. My hair used to be straight now very wavy and it’s getting worse. I am using minoxidil 5 foam and Finasteride 1 mg for 5 months. I start Microneedle 1.5 mm after I listen to your video. I am 64 years old and lost my hair after my fist baby born. I am the only person losing hair in my family. I really want to stop losing my hair. I believe you can help me. Do you mind I send some pictures from my hair please? Can you help me please?
I look forward to hearing from you,
    Regards, Anna X

Thank you for sharing your story with us. It's clear you're deeply committed to finding a solution for your hair loss, and you've already taken significant steps by using minoxidil, finasteride, and starting microneedling. Given your history of hair loss beginning post-pregnancy, which can often be linked to hormonal changes, and considering your age, there are various factors at play here.
Continuing with the treatments you've started is important, as these can take time to show results. Additionally, since hair texture changes like yours from straight to wavy can indicate underlying health changes, it would be wise to review this with a healthcare provider as well.
You mentioned wanting to send pictures for a more personalized consultation, which could be very helpful in assessing your situation more accurately. For direct assistance and to discuss your case further, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

    Hello doctor,
I hopefully had the chance to stabilize my MPB that started at age 18 in an early stage 2.5 years after its beginning (age 21).
I'm 23 now but i still face small white flakes that mostly occurs around the hairline. I have tested all the anti-fungal, anti-dandruff shampoo without success and I suspect a demodex infection (did my research after learning from your videos) due to my foolish idea to "space" shampoos according to the low poo trend, thinking it could have cured this...
My question is : what diagnosis technique (by a trichologist) do you recommend to detect a demodicosis ?
I am waiting for my blood test results thanks to your videos to check any deficiencies and i have been on antibiotics for too long as a teenager so my gut must be quite leaky causing me various inflammatory issues and a weak immune system.
Finally, i wanted to say thank you for all the support and quality data you share that helps a lot through this journey.
    Best regards from France.

Thank you for sharing your situation with us and for your kind words about the support and information we provide. It sounds like you've been through quite a journey with your hair health, and it's clear you've done significant research and are proactive in seeking solutions.
Regarding your question on diagnosing demodicosis, which is an infestation by Demodex mites, a common but often overlooked cause of skin and hair issues, the most accurate way to diagnose this condition is through microscopic examination of skin scrapings from the affected area. A trichologist or dermatologist would typically take a small sample of skin or pluck a few hairs from the affected area and examine them under a microscope to look for the presence of Demodex mites.
Since Demodex mites are a normal part of the skin's microbiome, their presence alone doesn't always indicate a problem. The diagnosis often depends on the number of mites found and the presence of symptoms. High concentrations of Demodex mites can lead to demodicosis, contributing to inflammation, itching, and hair loss.
Given your history with antibiotics and concerns about gut health, it's also important to consider the broader picture of your health when addressing hair and scalp issues. Imbalances in gut health can indeed impact inflammation and immune function, potentially exacerbating skin conditions and their symptoms.
I'm glad to hear you're awaiting blood test results, as these can provide crucial insights into any deficiencies or underlying health issues that might need to be addressed as part of your overall treatment plan.
In the meantime, maintaining a balanced diet, managing stress, and avoiding harsh hair treatments can help support your scalp health. It's also beneficial to continue with gentle, regular cleaning of the scalp to maintain a healthy environment that discourages the overproliferation of mites or other pathogens.
We're here to support you further in your journey to better hair health. Don't hesitate to reach out for more personalized advice or if you have any more questions.
Best regards from our team to you in France,

@drwilliamgaunitz how effective do you believe PRP or GFC therapy can be? And do you rally suggest opting for any of them to resolve MPB?

    • @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist
      @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist  9 месяцев назад

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) therapies are among the innovative treatments discussed in our "MUST SEE! HAIR LOSS TURNAROUND IN JUST 6 MONTHS: HOW? MEN'S HAIR LOSS TREATMENT EXPLAINED" video. These therapies are based on using your body's natural growth factors to stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth, showing promising results for many individuals, including those with Male Pattern Baldness (MPB).
The effectiveness of PRP and GFC can vary based on individual factors such as the extent of hair loss, age, and overall health. Many patients report significant improvements in hair density, thickness, and scalp health after undergoing these treatments. However, it's important to have realistic expectations and understand that results can differ from person to person.
We often suggest these treatments as part of a comprehensive approach to tackling hair loss, especially for those who have not responded well to conventional treatments. Consulting with a specialized trichologist or dermatologist can help determine if PRP or GFC therapy is suitable for you, considering your specific condition and hair loss pattern.

Im 19yo, i’ve been trough a chain of really intense stressful events, then i noticed a severe hair thing, mostly equally spread, but a little more on the front hairline, then i also noticed the signs of anemia, severe signs that was on me for 3 months without me noticing, this last month i noticed a severe shedding, maybe half of my hair density was lost, very scared and panicked and CANNOT stop stressing about it, will i ever have a chance of growing it back?

    • @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist
      @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist  9 месяцев назад

      GPT
It's understandable to feel scared and stressed when experiencing severe hair thinning and shedding, especially at a young age. Stress, alongside anemia, can significantly impact your hair health, leading to conditions like telogen effluvium, where hair falls out more than usual. The good news is that in many cases, once the underlying causes, such as stress and anemia, are addressed, there's a good chance for your hair to recover and regrow.
In our video "MUST SEE! HAIR LOSS TURNAROUND IN JUST 6 MONTHS: HOW? MEN'S HAIR LOSS TREATMENT EXPLAINED," we discuss how addressing the root causes of hair loss, including stress management and treating nutritional deficiencies, can lead to significant improvements in hair growth and density. It's crucial to tackle these issues holistically-considering diet, lifestyle, and possibly supplementation to correct anemia and support overall hair health.
Remember, recovery from hair loss due to stress and anemia can take time, and hair tends to regrow gradually. Consulting with healthcare professionals, such as a trichologist, can provide you with a tailored approach to manage stress and improve your hair's condition. They can also offer support and guidance on treatments that may help accelerate the recovery process.
Staying positive, seeking support, and following a personalized care plan can greatly increase your chances of regaining your hair's density and health. It's important not to lose hope, as many individuals experience significant hair regrowth once the underlying issues are addressed.

Sir, I've been balding from 7 months and still shedding. The hairloss is diffuse and on my scalp arms and legs. Most visible on my head. I am an adult girl. Been on thyroid medications but t4 levels are okay. Still no hair growth. I ve been using biotin b12 and folic acid and topical rosemary mix oil but no results.

    • @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist
      @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist  9 месяцев назад +1

Your situation, experiencing diffuse hair loss not only on your scalp but also on your arms and legs, while being on thyroid medication with normal T4 levels, indicates a complex scenario that might require a multifaceted approach. The supplements you're taking (biotin, B12, folic acid) along with the use of topical rosemary oil mix are generally supportive of hair health, but your ongoing hair loss suggests an underlying issue that hasn't been addressed.
Given the comprehensive treatment plan described for the gentleman in the video, it's clear that individualized treatment, considering all aspects of health and lifestyle, is crucial. In your case, there are a few potential areas to explore:
Thyroid Health: Even with normal T4 levels, it's possible for thyroid issues to contribute to hair loss. Discuss with your healthcare provider whether additional thyroid function tests (like T3 levels, TSH, and thyroid antibodies) might provide more insight into your condition.
Nutritional Support: Continue with your current supplementation, as biotin, B12, and folic acid are important for hair health. However, consider getting a comprehensive nutritional panel to check for other deficiencies that might be contributing to hair loss, such as iron, zinc, vitamin D3, and selenium.
Scalp Health: The topical application of rosemary oil is a good natural approach, as it's known to stimulate hair growth. Ensure that your application method is effective by massaging the oil into the scalp to improve blood circulation and nutrient delivery to hair follicles.
Diet and Lifestyle: As highlighted in the video, dietary and lifestyle factors can significantly impact hair health. A detoxification process, like the one mentioned, might help eliminate toxins that could be affecting your hair growth. Consider consulting with a nutritionist or a trichologist to design a detox plan that fits your specific health needs.
Holistic Approaches: Explore additional holistic and natural treatments that can support hair growth, such as acupuncture, which can help improve circulation and reduce stress, or low-level laser therapy (LLLT), which has been shown to promote hair growth in some individuals.
Consultation with a Specialist: Since your hair loss is both diffuse and affecting areas beyond your scalp, consulting with a dermatologist or a trichologist who can provide a thorough examination and possibly identify the root cause of your hair loss is essential. They might also adjust your treatment plan based on the most recent findings and research in hair loss treatments.
Remember, hair growth is a slow process, and treatments can take several months to show results. It's also important to manage stress, as it can be a significant factor in hair loss. Regular exercise, meditation, and ensuring adequate sleep can all contribute to reducing stress levels.
For more personalized advice or to explore additional treatment options, feel free to reach out to us.

I’m really sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with hair loss for so long. 😔 The good news is that even after 2.5 years, there are ways to slow the loss and possibly regrow some of your hair, depending on the cause. Here’s how you can get help and take steps to improve your hair health:
      ### Steps to Get Support and Treatment:
      1. **Contact Advanced Trichology**:
      - Since you're in Kentucky and might not have immediate access to in-person trichologists, you can get help **online** from experts at **Advanced Trichology**.
      - Visit **www.advancedtrichology.com/** to explore personalized treatment options for hair loss. They offer **consultations**, which could help you pinpoint the cause and get a tailored plan.
      2. **Schedule a Virtual Consultation**:
      - You can schedule a **virtual consultation** with a trichologist or hair expert who will assess your hair loss and recommend specific treatments, products, and lifestyle changes. This is especially useful if you've been experiencing hair loss for a long time.
      3. **Blood Tests**:
      - If you haven't already, it’s a good idea to get blood tests to check for underlying causes like **hormonal imbalances** (DHT levels), **vitamin deficiencies** (like iron, vitamin D, or B12), or **thyroid issues**. This will help determine if there’s a medical reason for your hair loss.
      4. **Explore Treatments**:
Depending on the cause of your hair loss, these treatments may help:
      - **Minoxidil**: This can stimulate hair growth and is FDA-approved for hair loss.
      - **DHT Blockers**: If your hair loss is due to genetics, **DHT blockers** like **finasteride** or **natural alternatives** (like **saw palmetto**) may help.
      - **Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)**: Devices like **laser helmets** stimulate hair follicles and improve blood flow to promote hair growth.
      5. **Improve Scalp Health**:
      - Scalp massages, using a **gentle sulfate-free shampoo**, and nourishing your scalp with **oils** or **serums** that contain ingredients like **rosemary oil** or **peppermint oil** can help stimulate hair follicles and support growth.
      6. **Hair Supplements**:
      - Consider supplements that contain **biotin**, **zinc**, **iron**, and **omega-3 fatty acids** to support overall hair health. Products like **Nutra M** or **Nutra F** can help balance nutrient levels that promote hair growth.
      ### Stay Positive and Consistent:
Hair growth takes time, and it’s important to be patient with treatments and give them **3-6 months** to start working. But taking action now can prevent further loss and help restore your hair's health!
➡️ You can reach out directly through **www.advancedtrichology.com/** for a consultation and personalized advice on managing hair loss, or if you need help finding the right products for your situation.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern with us. It's understandable how distressing hair loss can be, especially at a young age. From your description of losing 50 to 60 hairs during shampooing and dealing with this issue for over two years, it seems you're experiencing a significant amount of stress over your hair loss.
Based on the detailed process and approach we discussed in our "MUST SEE! HAIR LOSS TURNAROUND IN JUST 6 MONTHS: HOW? MENS HAIR LOSS TREATMENT EXPLAINED" video, it's clear that individualized treatment plans are crucial. In the video, we showcased a case where tailored interventions, focusing on detoxification, nutritional supplements, and a comprehensive topical and internal regimen, led to remarkable hair regrowth within six months. While this case involved a male patient, the principles of addressing underlying causes such as lifestyle factors, nutritional deficiencies, and aggressive treatment strategies apply universally.
Given your situation, it's essential to first assess the potential causes of your hair loss through a thorough examination. Factors such as diet, lifestyle, stress levels, and genetic predisposition can all play a role. It would be beneficial for you to have a consultation with a trichologist or dermatologist who can provide a personalized assessment and recommend a tailored treatment plan similar to the approach we described in our video.
In the meantime, consider evaluating your diet, stress levels, and lifestyle habits that may be contributing to your hair loss. Ensuring a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, managing stress through mindfulness or exercise, and avoiding harsh hair treatments can be initial steps towards improvement.
We're here to support you on your journey to hair recovery. If you have more questions or need personalized advice, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. Remember, while hair regrowth is possible, the approach must be tailored to your specific needs and circumstances.

It's normal to be concerned if you don't see immediate results with a new hair loss treatment. Treatments like Minoxidil and low-dose laser therapy often show noticeable improvements around the 6-month mark. Hair dye can contribute to damage and breakage, but it's not typically a direct cause of root hair loss.
Our video "MUST SEE! HAIR LOSS TURNAROUND IN JUST 6 MONTHS: HOW? MENS HAIR LOSS TREATMENT EXPLAINED" emphasizes a comprehensive approach to hair loss treatment, including detoxification and nutritional supplements. While your current regimen focuses on Minoxidil and laser therapy, addressing underlying issues like nutrition and hormonal balance may enhance results.
Consulting with a trichologist or dermatologist for a personalized assessment is advisable. Remember, hair regrowth takes time, so maintaining a consistent treatment routine is key.

It's clear you're actively seeking solutions and open to different approaches, including natural remedies like rosemary oil and clinical treatments like minoxidil.
Regarding the Carnivore Diet as a potential solution for hair loss, it's important to approach this with caution. While some individuals report improvements in various health conditions due to the elimination of certain food groups, there's limited scientific evidence directly linking the Carnivore Diet to hair regrowth. The diet primarily focuses on animal products and excludes most other food groups, which could lead to nutritional deficiencies if not carefully managed. Nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and particularly those found in plant foods play crucial roles in hair health.
As discussed in our video "MUST SEE! HAIR LOSS TURNAROUND IN JUST 6 MONTHS: HOW? MENS HAIR LOSS TREATMENT EXPLAINED," the approach to treating hair loss is multifaceted, involving a thorough assessment of the individual's health, lifestyle, and potential underlying conditions. A successful hair regrowth strategy often includes addressing nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, and lifestyle factors that may contribute to hair loss.
Before considering significant dietary changes like adopting a Carnivore Diet, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional, such as a trichologist or a nutritionist. They can provide a comprehensive assessment to identify any specific deficiencies or health issues contributing to your hair loss. Moreover, a tailored treatment plan, possibly including a balanced diet, targeted supplements, and appropriate hair care treatments, could be more effective in addressing your hair loss concerns.
Your proactive approach and willingness to explore different treatments are commendable. Remember, the journey to hair regrowth is personal and varies from one individual to another. It's crucial to find a balanced, nutritionally complete approach that addresses the root causes of your hair loss.
We're here to support you further on your journey. For personalized advice and treatment options, please feel free to reach out to us.

hi, i had the most beautifull long hair all life, my hair roots were damaged by mistake a year ago, hair was falling out all year, tehy were very thick so i thought its breakage, in autumn i understood that it is sheding...went to dermatologist he said there is miniaturization and presc spironolactone and minox...i take spiro 3 month, one month took 2 percent minox. My questions are>1. how to avoid minoxidil, as i understand that i cant stop it cos hair will fall out? (SAW PALMETO TAKING) 2. Does idaily infrared sauna can help with groth? my blood is good, dont have sistemic desease, and still want to have kids.

      GPT
It's great to hear you're actively seeking solutions for your hair concerns. Regarding your question about avoiding minoxidil, while it's a common treatment for hair loss, its discontinuation can indeed lead to shedding. Saw palmetto, as you mentioned, is often considered a natural alternative due to its potential to block DHT, a hormone linked to hair loss. However, its effectiveness varies from person to person and it's less studied than minoxidil.
As for the use of an infrared sauna, while there's anecdotal evidence suggesting benefits for hair growth due to improved circulation and detoxification, concrete scientific support is limited. It might help in a holistic sense, contributing to overall well-being, which can indirectly benefit hair health.
Given your specific situation, including the desire for future pregnancy, it's crucial to discuss all treatments with your healthcare provider, considering both efficacy and safety. For tailored advice, especially considering your unique health profile and hair loss pattern, a consultation with a trichologist or dermatologist would be beneficial. They can offer personalized recommendations and consider all aspects of your health and hair care regimen.

Does the Ordinary peptides for hair density work?

    • @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist
      @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist  7 месяцев назад +1

The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density is designed to target hair health by increasing the density and thickness of hair. The serum contains a concentration of peptides, caffeine, and other beneficial ingredients that may promote a healthier scalp environment and support hair growth.
While individual results can vary, many users have reported positive outcomes, such as thicker-feeling hair and increased fullness over time. The effectiveness of such products often depends on the specific cause of hair thinning and the overall health of the scalp. For those dealing with hair thinning linked to nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, or inflammatory conditions, a comprehensive approach that addresses the underlying issue is typically necessary alongside topical treatments.
If you're considering trying this product, it could be beneficial as part of a broader hair care regimen. However, for best results, consider combining it with a proper diet, possibly supplements, and consultation with a healthcare provider to address any underlying issues you may have.

How do I get back my hair? I have started seing scalp at some places as the density has reduced so much. Thanks

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear about your hair loss challenges following significant health issues. Your journey underscores the importance of addressing both symptoms and underlying causes.
Our comprehensive approach, as discussed in our video, emphasizes a tailored regimen focusing on detoxification, nutritional supplements, and topical treatments. However, in your case, it's crucial to address potential hormonal imbalances and iron deficiency due to significant blood loss.
A comprehensive blood test to check iron levels and other essential nutrients is recommended. Treatments like topical minoxidil and scalp health therapies can also aid in hair regrowth. Hormone replacement therapy might be considered post-hysterectomy.

Our Hair Support Tea - 14 Day Cleanse is a meticulously crafted blend of natural ingredients, each selected for their detoxifying properties and support of hair health. The ingredients include:
Burdock Root: Known for its powerful liver detoxification support, helping to clear toxins from your blood and improve overall scalp and hair health.
Dandelion Root: Aids in kidney detoxification and promotes the elimination of waste, reducing the load on your system and encouraging a healthier environment for hair growth.
Licorice: Acts as an anti-inflammatory, soothing the scalp and supporting overall health, which is crucial for nurturing healthy hair follicles.
Citrus Peel: Packed with antioxidants and vitamins, it contributes to the vitality of your hair, protecting it from oxidative stress and promoting a vibrant, healthy look.
Cinnamon: Besides adding a delightful flavor, cinnamon enhances circulation to the scalp, which is vital for delivering nutrients to hair follicles and promoting growth.
Vanilla: Not only does it improve the taste and aroma of the tea, but vanilla also adds a comforting and soothing aspect to your hair care routine.
This blend is designed to detoxify your body by supporting the liver and kidneys, crucial organs in removing toxins that can contribute to inflammation and negatively impact hair health. By reducing DHT levels within the hair follicles and supporting digestive health for proper toxin elimination, our Hair Support Tea sets the stage for optimal hair growth. It's clinically tested for effectiveness and suitable for both men and women who are working towards improving the health and vitality of their hair.
For use, we recommend brewing 2 teaspoons (8-10 oz) of loose tea by bringing water to a boil, adding the tea, then simmering on low for 10-15 minutes. This can be enjoyed hot or cold, three times daily for the initial 3 to 4 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose of one cup daily as part of your ongoing hair care regimen.
This tea is an integral part of the Evolution Program, aimed at those seeking to enhance their hair growth journey naturally and effectively.
