    Many doctors would've gone much lower with the hairline and increase the density. That separates pros like Doctor Linkov from many cheap clinics I would say. Yes, it's not the hairline of a 16 year old many people want but it's an appropriate hairline for the age and also one that harmonizes well with the rest of the hair and takes into consideration further thinning in the future.

      Agree I had a hair transplant at the age of 66 in Bangkok where I live. Mostly on my crown and my hair now 11 months later looks appropriate for someone my age. The two weeks after my transplant my sleep wasn't great. The clinic gave me some sleeping tablets ,the scalp felt so itchy ,hair clinic washed my hair every other day for 3 weeks. I'm pleased with the results. I will see the full results after 18 months.

      I had 2 FUT's in the 2000s and 1 FUE in 2019 and in none of them did I experience any pain after the surgery itself (but they did give me some good pain meds for the FUTs back before opioids were a bad name!)

      I didn't have that issue, however I am 10 months out and I still have some nerve sensitivity over the recipient area. Doesn't hurt on a regular basis, but I'd say it is more sensitive to heavy pressure. Almost like an underground zit that hasn't emerged yet feels, and not uniformly. Hopefully this will eventually resolve.

    I'm a retired RN who worked in various specialties, with critical care and emergency medicine being my favorites as I found myself bored after 4 years of med/surg. I've worked with many different physicians, in many different specialties, including plastic/reconstructive surgeons. Dr. Linkov, you strike me as a doctor who truly cares about your patients, prioritizing safety first, and ensuring good outcomes for them. I'm a longtime lurker who's maybe commented once. You also clearly come across as a good human being, which is the foundation of all that you do. Our hospital had 3 plastic & reconstructive surgeons. We could see the difference between the three and their patients' immediate post-op experiences. Only one out of the three cared about his patients' well-being. They had less pain and significantly better results than those of the other two. I can see this man's results look natural. Had I just met this man at the 10-month post-op time, I would have never been the wiser about his hair. Great job, and he appears to be extremely happy!😊❤

    The main problem I had with my transplant was pimples in the recipient area at 1-2 months. As someone with skin picking disorder, I could not leave those pimples alone, and felt really bad about popping them, afraid that I would ruin my results. But fortunately, it seems like it's growing in nicely now at 3 months. It looks almost exactly like Max' results above at 3 months, which is a big relief.

    Very nice to see a case of a man that recovered from the initial redness as quickly as I did, back in 2007. (FUE 2600 grafts frontally initially, as had a follow up of 2700 grafts, too.) It's more frequent in women than in men that you see this happen.
    I'm still looking at my options to see if I should/should "soften" the widows peak I still have (temples weren't filled in much for me), hence that I look at channels/content like this. Great aesthetically pleasing results from the procedure, as per usual.

    When I got some scalp cuts in an accident a few years ago I was surprised at how much they bled, I was covered in blood by the time I got to the ER, despite holding a towel to my head. After the stitching up, I was also surprised at the swelling over the next week or so, which indeed did move in puffy lumps gradually down my head and neck. I suppose on the head, there’s not a lot of room for swelling with the skull there, so the fluid seems to move out to the skin. I think scalp cuts or procedures can look a lot more dramatic and worse than they really are; except for the bloody drama, these cuts were no big deal, didn’t even hurt and went away before the swollen lumps did. The worst part was not being able to shampoo for three days!

Is there ways to speed up the redness fading? Like would it be okey to use something like 10% azeliac acid or other quality formulated calming and antiinflammatory face serum on the scalp? Or even couple of days of hydrocortisone or something to help. Or some succest 100% aloe vera or some Bepanthen creom or emulsion. Any tips on this matter or should it just rather let it run its course and endure.

    Is Max on Finasteride and Minoxidil?

    I noticed that he didn't have any plasma treatment sessions after the transplant.
    I've had mine done two months ago. My operation also included two plasma treatments that I can do after 2 to 3 months post op. But I'm not sure they're necessary as I was researching that.
    My question is: is it necessary to do the plasma treatment? I'm also scared of needles still even after having done the op.. I almost faint everytime :)

    Considering you talk a lot about taking a medical approach alongside with a hairtransplant and really making sure you get the best result, combining it with minoxidil or finasteride (or both), it would have been nice to know if Max was using any product like that!

    I have one question about hair transplants, or rather their future: will hair follicles grown from stem cells one day allow us to plant hairs into the scalp without the need to basically "cut" them out from another part of the head? Cause...y'know...they'd be grown in a lab so we can grow as many as we need to get a natural 100% density back while not compromising the back of the head. This should also make the healing process faster cause you don't have these deep puncture wounds on the back. Maybe they could also invent other tools to make the implantation process easier?

      @raiden72 23 дня назад

      each hair follicle is an individual organ, which is complicated to grow from stem cells. This is why we haven't achieved this yet.

    • @kaystephan2610
      @kaystephan2610 23 дня назад

      @@raiden72 interesting. I thought it's just the root (like the ACTUAL root) from which then the...uhhh..."upper root" grows (the one you can pull out with waxing etc.) and then the hair obviously.
      I guess that's why cut out these relatively large holes on the back of the head that need quite a while to fully heal up again.

    This is so interesting to me as my partner is taking finastride for hair loss currently and I’ve been researching hair transplants just in case it doesn’t work. How much does it cost roughly?

    I'm a fit guy. When I shaved my coworkers told me I look like Jason Statham. Another girl had a crush over me. Since then I'm shaving every day and can't handle the sweat when my hair grows. I've %80-90 hair. Not thinking hair transplant. No champoo, no hair cut payments either. And I'm from Turkey where hair transplant is praised.
    Be a fit guy, then everything fits in. Oversize, fit thirts. Broken pants etc. everything fits in.
    Women don't care about men's looks as we do and thats kinda their weakness =D
