So, I'm a senior in high school right now. I've been enrolled into a new school my senior year and it sucks. I've also been battling my wretched sadness and maybe depression (my physician says I have it). It's been hard for me; especially since I've felt sad and alone since the 7th grade. Recently, I found out that some genres of music reflect my moods (doesn't it do it for everybody?). The thing is, with Korn, it's like, all my moods. If I'm upset, I listen to Korn. If I'm happy, I listen to Korn. If I'm mad, I listen to Korn. If I'm bored, then I listen to Korn. Some of Korn's songs also have deep meanings; the lyrics that are also used hit different at times. Some feel really heavy while others are light. It's weird and unique and so interesting to listen to. It's what makes them enjoyable. So far my senior year is going by slow, since I joined school 3-4 weeks late. Korn has made me more happy when I feel alone, or sad. I try not to embarrass myself by head bopping outta nowhere. PS- THAT MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB PART IS SO FIIIIRRREEEE I LOVE IIIITTT!!!!

This was the song that made me a fan. I'd heard some of their songs in previous years, but when I heard this on internet radio in June 2002 I immediately went out and bought all their CDs. This song showed me they weren't "just" metal, they were creative and talented above most.
It was a common belief back then that diseases were spread by smell. They countered the disease using things that covered the smell. It didn't actually work, though. There are of course still people claiming things like lavender to have such healing powers, but they're usually the same people trying to sell "natural remedies" at incredibly high prices. Go figure.
+Malcolm its a fact that lavender has medicinal value. It has antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial, &antifungal properties. in western medicine docs are not required to learn about homeopathic remedies to get their license. but it is practiced by some that wanted to include learning these methods that been around for centuries.
I remember being in Florida with my family on vacation in 94-95. I was outside a small club, korn playing inside this song playing I could hear it outside and I was changed forever. Life changing shit. One of my favorite memories....
I went to the same highschool as the majority of Korn. Our football team was never great, but when our bagpipe player came out and the PA system started playing this song we got mad hyped.

Brandon Higgins Thank you for the sarcastic reply. So let's break this down. Bad Parenting to let my son hear Korn sing these children's rhymes but its OK to let a faceless, nameless person sing it in 'gleeful' matter? Boy that sounds very open minded let me tell ya. I'm not one of these parents that's gonna put my kid in from of Sponge Bob and watch the brain cells come out their mouth in the form of drool. I was raised on Metallica, Sabbath, Maiden, G-n-R, & Dio to name a s small selection & I'm an outstanding addition to society. Local rescue squad, Blue Collar factory worker who bust his ass building transformers (that's probably powering your home) to provide for his family and not live off the government like most of my generation, been in the Army and putting my self through school so I can better provide. So as far as 'parenting at it best' thank you sir for the compliment. Have a nice day.......douchebag.

Into my childhood, they're spoon-fed
Hidden violence revealed, darkness that seems real

after Mary had a little lamb it goes straight to the last 4 lines, the rest of what you have in between doesn't exist.
EDIT: nvm, looks like the song was shortened for the video, the actual song has the rest, I thought it was too short lol
Them bagpipes have always been so soothing idk why
Austin Behn I JUST found out the singer is the one doing the bag pipes :/
June 2024 checking in! Much Love y’all! 🤘😎🤘
Who’s going to the concert in WPB Amphitheater ?
🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
This is how my three year old learned her nursery rhymes.
Good thing it wasn't from Andrew dice Clay
The only way for kids to learn nursery rhymes in my opinion
🤣🤣🤣
You're a great parent
My mom’s (age 49) idea of teaching my nephews (her grandsons, ages 3 and 7) nursery rhymes is teaching them this song.
PS- THAT MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB PART IS SO FIIIIRRREEEE I LOVE IIIITTT!!!!
maybe alice in chains too like nutshell the song is fire
@@cameronnakai1120 YOU TOLD ME I’M THE ONLY ONEEE!!!!!
I have been listening to this for over 25 years now and I still feel the same as you. Keep chugging along, the grass really does get greener
Hey how you doing? Still listening to Korn? Who else do you like?
@@josephtucker8913 Hey, thanks for checking up on me :). I'm doing alright for now. I started listening to more artists like Cannibal Corpse and Korn of course 😌✨.
old korn so good
Newer Korn isn't a bad thing. Album after album of emotions.🤟
I'm just about 63 yrs old. Freakin' LOVE this damn song!!!! Bagpipes & Metal.....a match made in Heaven!
An evil nursery-rhyme that hits like a Kenworth......AND.....has Bagpipes!! Thanks to early AC/DC too! It's a long way, to the top, .......
That riff before Johnathan starts singing is pure gold 🔥🔥
2:47 gives me chills everytime
2:37 This heavy breathing part scared me back when MTV played this video circa 1995.
Today this album have 30!🎉🎉🎉 25 years in my ears. Happy day everyone
Jonathan Davis: Making you rethink nursery rhymes since 1994.

Album was released in 94 tho.
...and in 93' they started also...
I miss the early 90's.
As do I my friend, as do I.

Fan since '95
Ever since KoRn KoRn. I'll be 34 July
Im here
Since the days when slap bass was a commodity.
My dad played this for me when I was a baby, I still enjoy it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When they came out I realized after one second that that was the band I was waiting for nearly a decade.
This was the song that made me a fan. I'd heard some of their songs in previous years, but when I heard this on internet radio in June 2002 I immediately went out and bought all their CDs. This song showed me they weren't "just" metal, they were creative and talented above most.
Helmet in the Bush is a cool ass song, all the weird timing in that is what sold me on them (at least the first few years)
I always wondered how a strong powerful ballsy voice came from such small dude!! Dudes got pipes
He's 6'2.
Lol
The demon inside
He's 6'2 actually...

Was introduced to Korn when i was 10 in 2005 and Coming Undone was on the radio. Been a die hard fan ever since!
Mary had a little lamb part is amazing
That part and the "Nick nack paddywack. Give the dog a bone. This old man came rolling home" part is the best.
MARY HAD A LETELE LAAAMB!
I like the drums at the end of the 'Mary had a little lamb' part
Nary had a little lamb, it's heart was black as coal. It crept into her room one night and ate her fucking soul
This is what I'll show my kids
lmao
my uncle showed me this when I was 5 lol I had 2 ask my cuz 4 the name of it she is 4 I'm 14 lol
I play this for my kids and they're like wth? Sorry kids this is what we're listening to because I love it.
Same (Im 13)
You will be a great parent lol
This song is about how nursery rhymes have evil meanings behind them, for example, "ring around the rosie" was about the black plague
I just realized that.. xD
I mean, I knew those nursery rhymes had dark meanings, but I didn't know the song was about that
i thought it was about the monopoly mans anamorphic shoe
It was a common belief back then that diseases were spread by smell. They countered the disease using things that covered the smell. It didn't actually work, though. There are of course still people claiming things like lavender to have such healing powers, but they're usually the same people trying to sell "natural remedies" at incredibly high prices. Go figure.
That is a common trope, but historians reject that and say that the rhyme is not nearly that old.
One of the greatest singers ever !
The addias track suits were actually pretty lit.
Lit? On fire? I don't speak hood.

3:09 that headbang 🤘🤘
I went to the same highschool as the majority of Korn. Our football team was never great, but when our bagpipe player came out and the PA system started playing this song we got mad hyped.
Your lying right?
I listen to korn on the ride to school when i get there at lunch and on the ride home and when i get home i listen to even more korn lol I listen to them all day

Biggest regret , I passed on Korn opening up for Megadeth and went and saw White Zombie instead. HUGE MITSAKE
HUGE MEAT-SACK
@@tapiwachida6016 A huge mistake.
A HUGE MITSAKE, Oh what a mistake-a to make.
Idk, that doesn't sound too bad. I'd like to see White Zombie.
james leatherman not necessarily because you can still see Korn but you can’t see white zombie anymore
No mistake at all imo. I saw Korn live last month and they were great, but if I wanna see WZ live I'd hafta invent a time machine and travel back to 1998. Not like you saw some scrams instead, WZ is classic.
Used to put my headphones on my niece and let her listen to this when she was a baby. She's 15 now and still remembers it :)
Awesome
My 9 month old son goes to sleep listening to this on the regular
gdpatches85 Parenting at its finest.... I don't know if Id put that out there
Brandon Higgins Thank you for the sarcastic reply.
***** Thank you sir...I hate people who get on RUclips and pretend to know someone and something when in reality they know shit.
It doesn’t matter what year it is. Korn will forever reign supreme!!
17years old, middle of old Europe, sitting on a hill, staring at nothing stoned as hell ... with this in my headphones; loved it.
Dauther pearl jam
Woodstock 96 when Korn was on stage, everyone was at least 5 feet of the ground. Yeah time goes by... Still waiting for the next best band to raise the bar... Still waiting!!!
Riaan van schalkwyk Slipknot rose the bar awhile ago
Yeah ... the two bands at Ozzfest that made that second stage literally bounce to the point I feared it would collapse? Hed PE and Slipknot. Hed still rolls around playing more reggae-type stuff, but Slipknot hit it big.
First Korn song I ever heard over 30 years ago and I'm still hooked. Still one of their best too.
love this song, it falls right between grunge and nu metal
3:10 definition of KoRn
MrQbeczek pretty much XD
That needs to be my ringtone
I like it when he starts skittling his angst and then proceeds to start shouting
I like a big variation of metal and a variety of music but Korn is Def in my top 3 bands. I'd listen to Korn hard out through my youth. Korn help me get through depression
Only Korn can make a song about nursery rhymes and make it work
Right, I was thinking the samething. Did anybody ever play this for their kids when they where babies or just me?
Seeing this live was a highlight of my life.
This song is probably the most unique sounding metal song ever made Korn is legendary
What about got the life
@@big_joe_8478 that too
What makes this song for me is Jon's back up scatting on the choruses XD it just sounds like another weird Korn guitar effect if you're not paying close attention
Morse Code Stutters my favourite part about the song it so catchy. Gives you the dark vibe they had
I love it and that's why the studio version is way better than the live version in this song. Also do you have any clue what he is saying?
MidChaff it a backwards recording of Jon Davis saying "This is madness" over and over.

Korn was the first concert I ever went to,they opened with this back then,to see Jonathan walk out with the bagpipes to start the show was a fucking trip
Saw this on MTV late night back in about 1996. I'd never heard anything like it - it really spoke to me. Things were never the same again. Thankyou Korn!
