I completely agree with the way you played this. Fabulous technique; very relaxed, using the weight of you whole arms, wrists and fingers. Your face shows that you're completely into it, not wasting energy in any other part of your body. Great tone quality.

I love Lisitsa and I love Bosendorfer; together, absolutely amazing. I don't know whether or not this DVD track is of her playing all 24 in concert, but she seems exhausted (not smiling like she does in Op. 10 No. 5). Bravo!!!
I wasn't gonna use words people without a degree in english literature wouldn't understand. This person is among the best piano performers I've ever heard. Granted I haven't spent my life listening to every person in the world play but still. This person is AMAZING

I have all of Valentina's Etude recordings. Wife Doreen & I watched Valentina at London Wigmore Hall then Doreen sent DVDs of Valentina to her sister in Australia - as in spread the word ! Valentina is, to both of us, a word worth spreading. We love and admire Valentina's playing. We immerse ourselves. It is a nice, nice experience, something you never forget. I quote friend Marek (from Val's Wigmore concert): "I was mesmerised !".
Not too fast, just her interpretation of the piece.. I like it. Her hands are very very relaxed and fluid.. just goes with the flow.. I think it fits "The Ocean" description rather well. I can't believe how smooth she is. Great job!!! I love your technique!
I think for non-pianists, not all videos show the effort and intensity required to perform a piece. But this one does, as well as being a great interpretation to listen to. Nice.

I've just downloaded the sheet music for this piece... I've never seen anything like it. Freaking intimidating. She is such a gifted pianist. I love Chopin.
We are witnessing a new phenomenon in recorded music. We are able to hear on RUclips,the greatest pianists playing in the comfort of their own homes,where they can relax and throw caution to the winds. They can video themselves playing the same piece repeatedly at no expense and transmit their best version onto RUclips. If a wrong note is played,they can start again,something which would be impossible live, or very expensive in a recording studio. We are thus seeing them at their best.
Extremely convincing and concentrated live, uncut performance of this utterly tricky final of Chopin's opus 25!! If this young lady looks bored? Totally outrageous!! No - she has no time to even think of that sort of emotion! An insult to even think that of a professional musician in a situation like this! This music demands onehundredfiftyeleven percent concentration all the time - for it bites you back so fast that you'd never know what happened - and if you blink, you'll have missed it!
My favourite Etude. You make it look so easy. You have inspired me to give it a good go tomorrow. But you do yourself an injustice by clipping off the beginning and the end.

I like the way you play Chopin a lot, I listened to many interpreters, and they all sound somewhat the same, like they wanted to show off how virtuose they are by playing his pieces as fast as they could, but in your playing I can feel something; i really love it!!!
