It's a shame the whole thing is produced out the wazoo, which makes it very easy to get stuck because it's not very organic and there's no progression.
I absolutely love babymetal and I actually saw them live, but there's a reason they are somewhat dead right now.
They're obviously not dead in any way but, let's just say they were, for argument sake. Why would that be the case? Also, if you like them, why would any of those issues matter? Why do people over think this stuff so much? It's a simple question. Do I like it? If the answer is No! move on. If the answer is yes! That's great. Nothing to worry about. Enjoy the music. It's that simple.

BABYMETAL // HEADBANGER!! (ruclips.net/video/E8pcFhPZQYg/видео.html). This is up there as one of there more popular ones but I actually recommend this other one, for HEADBANGER!!, (ruclips.net/video/MToMx6RCW-M/видео.html) because well...you get a chance to see Su-Metal do her thing...but also something you don't see them do as often as well.
I'd also say that BABYMETAL - Distortion (ruclips.net/video/FzgU3W5ZgzU/видео.html) is another good one and this video is an older one from 2018, but you get to see them in an outdoor concert setting, with an extra dancer, and the whole band and Su-Metal demanding circles from the crowd :)
Either way, I'll be watching the next one!
Great reaction. Queen Su, aged just 16 at the time, rising up from below the stage and courageous enough to follow that intro from the Kami Band - and not only to follow it but then making the stage her own. This was only the second time she had performed this song live - first time was the night before, but she made it look and sound like she'd been singing it for years.
The Kami Band that night were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums).
'Rondo of Nightmare' is possibly their darkest song lyrically. Rondo is a musical term meaning something like a repeated theme. They have borrowed the term as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare being chased through the dark by something she can't see. Finally she hides in or by a well or a fountain but it is still coming closer and, accepting there is no escape, she asks that if she is to die won't it at least show itself first.
So many more great songs and performances from BABYMETAL for you to see and each one different from the last.

SU-METAL is a performer with special abilities.
One of the best things about Babymetal is that every song has a different feel and sound. Sometimes I think back on having listened to the first two albums for years.. and then the third album came around and I thought to myself, surely they can't surprise me anymore.. but oh boy did they outdo themselves once again. :)
And I will always love them no matter how many haters they have.. because I know that there are way more who love them or simply appreciate them even though they are very different from what most people view as a metal band. They will always hold a special place in my heart because they helped me through a very dark period of my life, and to this day they still manage to brighten my days. 🤘🦊🤘
As for recommendations for you.. there's really no bad choice among their songs, only poor quality videos xD
Personally I'd recommend you try out 'No rain no rainbow'. It's not a heavy song.. but it's perfect to show you just how much feel and emotion Su-metal puts into her performances. The official video is from the Legend S concert, which was held in celebration of Suzuka's 20th birtday... but I'm not sure if they will hit you with copyright or not to be honest.

Babymetal always makes me smile, always positive messages and amazing music. I've listened to them since 2014, and they never disappoint. Some of my favorites are Megitsune, and that one sounds better live. Iine is also good, one of my favorites. We do miss Yui-metal, and they lost a guitarist a few years back, and it's rumored the song Starlight is written for him. So many good songs, and they always bring up the positivity level.

Love watching the drummer Hideki in this, when the camera pan to him in the beginning, he looks like he's just casually drumming and not responsible for the machine like pounding in the background with the double kicks. Most singers might get intimidated having to follow the spectacular performance by the Kamiband, but 16yr old Su just gets up there, and shows you why Babymetal was built around her. 🤘🦊🤘

The opening to this song is perfect. I love how they all get a moment to shine, and to be honest, it is the best part of this whole song. The bass guitarist stole the show for me XD. Babymetal has a lot of great music, but this one is my favorite by far. And of course, you Aileen, are always pleasure to watch. Your reactions are charming, your heart seems to be in the music, and just over all a real gem in a sea of reaction videos.

I am not a musician, but Rondo of Nightmare has prompted many interesting comments from musicians and theater people. They talk about minor (and diminished?) chords creating tension and, of course, the mixing of time sig.s. The theater folks talk about the lighting and how it also creates tension as well.
There still is some difference of opinion as to Su's lilting, marinette part, is she pressing the mic to her mouth/nose or is the part altered electroniclly?
Kingslayer also gets a lot of comments on it's technical mastery. A sound engineer critiqued it and it was quite fascinating.
Aileen, if you think you can't be shocked by BM, ck out Kingslayer, it would make for a great reaction.

If you've not listed to it yet check out "Pa Pa Ya" by BABYMETAL featuring F.HERO (a legendary Thai rapper). He's got a deep husky voice and an insane flow.
The song is a fun summer party song (literally about a Thai spicy papaya salad). It's so fun, upbeat, and will have you dancing in your seat.
F.HERO also helped them incorporate Thai influences into the music and their dancing. So it's a full fusion of Japanese and Thai in an incredible song.
And then, if you like F.HERO from that song check out Mirror Mirror by F.HERO and Mili (a young up and coming Thai rapper and singer) featuring Changbin of Stray Kids (fastest rapper in Kpop). It's an insane song that'll knock your socks off whilst being so much fun to listen to.
Please do "Pa Pa Ya" as well, this song is absolutely perfect and has quite some different vibe to this one imo. :-)

Just imagine being 16 and performing in one of the most prestigious arenas in the world. Singing this song for the second time (since it premiered the previous night, same stage), standing by yourself on a relatively small and elevated platform without any safety, probably not being able to see a thing due the spotlight. And even so, performing like THIS. It's hard to believe but this is exactly what happened here. Su-metal is called the Queen for a good reason :)

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。The girls once said like "We feel we have been protected all the time by Kami band" and Kamis said "The girls took us to stages in the world, outside of Japan. We have nothing but gratitude towards them". The good relation between Kamis and Su / Moa remains intact all along.
"Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.
This is one of songs that I would like to listen to with Su's current matured voice.

You can't really go wrong with any BABYMETAL Song. I always say starting from their early stuff and work your way up to the newer is the most fun way to go though. You get the chance to see these wonderful girls grow up right in front of you that way. But again, any BABYMETAL is good BABYMETAL. 🤘🦊🤘

Rondo is easily in my top ten BABYMETAL songs.
Su performed three solos that night.
She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set.
Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) did two songs without Su ('4 no Uta' and 'Onedari Daisakusen'), and they performed a bunch of songs together.
That Black Night Budokan concert from March 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL concerts.
Not only is Su brave enough to sing and dance on a tiny elevated platform in the dark, but she is also fearless enough to follow those Kami Band solos.

Happy to hear that you appreciate the skill and talent of the girls and the band itself. A lot has changed since 2018. One of their guitarists (Mikio) passed away and Yuimetal left the band. Currently SuMetal and moametal along with another girl rotating in and out of Yuimetals place (The Avengers) are still playing. BabyMetal has been on hiatus but something is stirring up and I hope they go on tour again soon…because I’m sooooooooo there!

Btw ROR is the only song DragonForce participated in the guitar arrangements section, and there was a close friendship and even collaborating on stage together singing that song along with Gimme Chocolate!!
You're gonna find more power/speed metal style songs thou but all of them with the unique touch of BabyMetal.
_Akumu No Rondo_ combines not only heaviness with dark waltz and dope time signatures changes but also delicate and fragile beautiness that makes you wants to grab your inception kit and go to rescue this 16 yo queen from this nightmare.
Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice" so is like Alice but instead of Wonderland she's trapped in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity.
Rondo is a musical form in which you can hear a repetitive pattern, you can hear an example of this in the song "Blue Rondo a la Turk"
The Kami Band doing their second magnificent intro of the night with their own set called "Mischiefs Of Metal Gods". They become regular after this special live at Budokan 2014 and leaving baby-bones, from early shows, behind, shout-out to them thou.
Many people forget this was the day (night) after the first live premiere of this song and she's dancing and performing like she already did a dozen of times before, like a pro. Also she's showing some fierceness here dancing on that high dangerous mini stage with no wire and that's how she keeps winning everyone's heart.
But not everything was perfect here despite their impeccable performance and sound, and the day before the girls face that dangerous challenge on the stage, taking their own revenge after coming back in 2021 to celebrate their 10 years and leaving those ghosts behind, fortunately.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful SuMetal solo and my favorite along with _"Akatsuki"_ Keep watching all their solos because all 4 of them are beautiful and of course the rest of the girls under a subgroup called "Black Babymetal" are enjoyable too, so don't miss out their other 4 songs too.

This song is absolutely my favourite, and it carries so much meaning as well. It’s a song dedicated to the late guitarist of the Kami band Mikio who tragically passed away, and perhaps an homage to Yui, who had to stop performing with Babymetal due to health concerns.
The joy I’d have for you to listen to this song would be immense!

After a few more reactions you should do a reaction to a video called “everything you need to know about babymetal, a babymetal guide.” It just talks about how the band started and gives more insight on the musicians and helps you get to know the girls. Such a dope song, love that they let the Kami Band shine when they perform this one live before going into it proper. Their concerts are always such great energy. Between Babymetal and Band-maid, Japan is setting new bars for rock and metal.
I think the girls have always had tremendous respect for the band, as I'm sure the band members are like big brothers/uncles to them when out on tour. I'm sure they are just in awe of these awesome musicians as we are, and love watching them shine.

I feel like a child on Xmas eve waiting for the next morning to finally arrive! I'd also LOVE to see you react to Morissette Amon, maybe as a first song, her cover of Never Enough, or Rise Up from the wish bus, or even I wanna know what love is. I'd also LOVE to see your reaction to Amon Amarth. They are pretty much known as a Viking Metal band. Lastly, I don't know if anybody had warned you yet or not, but Babymetal CAN be difficult to react to because of copyright strikes, so just be careful. You may need to place a giant watermark over the video on our end and will have to do your usual breaks during the song. Anyhow, thank you for making my day and finally reacting to another song. It has NOT been a good few days, many bad things going on in my life, so seeing you react to Babymetal will at least cheer me up a bit. Thank you for that!
