not necessarily, some cars fuel cells aren't large enough and the gas mileage is not the best. and maybe they are coming out of state or somewhere far for this event

Yo thats how we do it in cali. I was just at a similar event not so long ago in the bay area. And i can tell by the plates this is in cali as well. Its just how we get down, especially the subi vs the truck...most street racing scenes (if not all of them) attract all sorts of ppl who wanna race, seeing stock cars, older not so nice ones, and a SHIT ton of Honda's is pretty normal. And then there are fucking nice cars everwhere too.
Usually it starts with a meet up and then the side show, and of course dragging with all cars in a line. But being way out of everyones way, its still dangerious to street race, but we aren't endangering anyone but ourselves, street racing in the middle of packed streets is plain retarded, there are families on the road.

I remember when i first got my licence back in 2006, South Philly had an awesome street racing scene..
I'd love if the scene here in NZ was half as friendly as this. Over here you always get groups of drunk kids throwing bottles and generally ruining the atmosphere. A lot of the car guys are also assholes, especially if you beat them. People will try and follow you home and burn your car. The USA is where it's at by the looks of it.

This is 'Murica, as much as I love das German Automobil, there just isn't as big of a racing/ modding scene on the streets as their should be. It's rare to see a Benz turn up to race, but much more common to see a BMW, at least in the Texas area. Anyone from DFW? Ennis is a great track

Euro cars are generally too expensive to work on and mod because parts are limited or have to be shipped form overseas, same reason you don't see much American muscle in Europe.

Honda civics on the other hand. It's always hard to tell if they're rice or not. 80% of the time they look fast but are slow. 20% of the time they are actually as fast as they look.
