The reason why I personally miss him so much even after a decade since he passed is because of how relatable he was. He was humble, down to earth, and not into the celebrity lifestyle. The most celebrity thing about him, if you can even call it that, is that he loved his cars. Despite being an actor, he even said that he wasn’t aiming to get an Oscar or anything, he just wanted to pay his bills and do what he loves. It’s still hard to believe that I was the same age as his daughter when he died and that after 10 years, how hard it still hits knowing there’s one less, genuine soul on this planet. Rip Paul, you’re forever missed ❤

Just watched Fast 9 with my family last night and then rewatched this video last night too and I cried knowing that my beloved franchise that helped me bring cars into my life and watching my childhood hero knowing that the franchise took a turn for the worse after the first three films and especially since he died. He's my favorite actor solely because of the fact that he didn't play a character in the F&F series, more so that he let his true personality leak onto the screen as a true car enthusiast and family man. When the transition between your life and your roles can be so seamless it allows the audience to truly engage with the man behind the iconic role of Brian O'Conner. I like how he up shifted twice because the paddle isn't instant response and thought it didn't work. I now own a r35 and wasn't expected as much lag when you paddle shift (its still extremely fast) but it does take getting used to if your trying to time the shifts at 100's or 10's of rpm exactness. He noticed it immediately.
