KCRA Archives: The first Gold Rush Days in Old Sacramento

The first Gold Rush Days event was held in 1998 when thousands paid to enter Old Sacramento to learn about and enjoy the lifestyles of pioneers.
Visitors were able to witness first hand what it was like to be the local blacksmith, the proprietress of the public bath, or even the mail rider.
