- So what's the deal with all these knobs? @bilsteinUS offers the 8112 series shock with position sensitive damping via 3 compression zones and 2 rebound zones, controlled by 3 independent pistons... add in their adjustable Jounce Cut Off (JCO) internal bump stop and they have achieved one of the most well-rounded and well-balanced high performance suspension packages to date; combining comfortable on-road ride quality with impressive control off-road.

Yep, would love some reviews on the plain 8100s versus the bypasses.
Hopefully have in the DSA rears and smooth bodies soon to test against the Bypasses
Finally a good 8112/ 8100 review! Just installed mine and I'm still playing around with the adjustments!
where you located? we're going out to Barstow in a couple weeks to review even further in the high speed and play with settings

Bought the 8112 and 8100’s from you March 2021 have about 20,000 miles now.
Worth the money ride is amazing especially on road.
Do have Deaver springs with the shocks too both make a huge difference

You got to change these worn out body mounts on that Tacoma... you'll be amazed how the ride will be improved especially when combined with the 8112/8100. Use poly bushings so the body and frame will better react together with the suspension and not trying to fight each others "shock waves". I'm in the same business as you, I know you will like the improvement. Thanks for the video.

I have a 2012 Tacoma, im trying to get 3inches in the front. Any suggestions on which coil over to run. My tires and wheel set up is bfg 285/70r17 on the fj cruiser 17” wheels.
Will these 3rd gen tacoma coilovers fit a 5th gen 4runner? Unsure when bilstein will release the 4runner version. Hard to wait!
I cant wait to hear the driving review on these. Im holding out to pick up a set of these for my GX460. Been waiting forever for Bilstein to release the DSA+ version. It will be interesting to hear your feedback on the rear lift height. That was one of my biggest concerns as Im running Dobinsons 329 rear springs that have me higher than the 1.5" Bilstein recommends.
so far they're fantastic and can do everything extremely well. Its been the rear that needs tuning in order to keep up with the front.
Those are sick! I have fox 2.5 non resi and they have honestly been riding like garbage lol. I think I must have too much preload. Only thing I can think of. Feel everything on the road, dives into holes rather than floating over them
You could probably use a re-tune, we've heard those aren't very forgiving, and aimed at a more aggressive offroad driver, not necessarily for street comfort. Hit us up
What is best for a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 rwd ?? Been looking for shock something firm off road , and super smooth on the road

Sounds like the 8100 bypass are designed to work perfectly with Deaver 66 springs right out of the box…

The vids are getting better and more informative. Lift doesn’t add clearance though
Bigger tires add clearance.
I wish these and the ome64s both would come out for my truck. Both have said they have no plans :(

18 Silverado. I run 6112s (from you) and DKlong travel springs out back with 5160s.
But as an old school arb/ome fan from my jeep days, if they offered it I'd swap instantly.
OME said they have no plans for Chevy love though :(
Does Bilstein make a coilover that will fit the various long travel kits for the taco?

They do not...BUT...call Bilstein and beg for universal Zone Control shocks. There is a decent amount of people asking for it. I know Ian at Wheel Every Weekend has been begging Bilstein to make them. So if everyone keeps calling Bilstein and asking for it I know they will make it happen. Might take them 2-4 years to launch it but it will happen :)
We/Bilstein can build an 8100 or 8200 coilover for the long travel kits, yes.
Do they make these adjustable shocks for the G6 Bronco?
Not yet, but we believe them to be in development

They do have these for the FJ Cruiser, at least the 2010-2014.

Do these Bilstein fit to My 2024Toyota Hilux GRS.?
They probably could be made to fit, but so far Bilstein doesn't have a confirmed part for the Hilux yet.
Any trade in/upgrade program for those of us with OG zinc 8112s??
We could cerakote them for ya, and add the DSA adjusters to the reservoirs. but there's not an official program. Wont be able to add the JCO adjuster though.
What is the stock hight are they set from the factory
They're set at about 2" of lift out of the box, we left them there when putting them on the Tacoma.
How are they on washboards you find on fire roads?
quite forgiving, feels like you can sense the wheels/tires moving a lot but its more a floaty feeling than a jarring feel-every-bump feeling.
You guys have any clue from Bilstein if/when these are coming for the 5th Gen 4Runners?
Everyone keeps saying soon. I asked Bilstein back at the end of 2023 and they were just releasing the updated rears with clickers and new coating; along with fronts with new coating BUT not DSA+. I was told from Bilstein sometime in 2024 for the updated front DSA+.

Does 8110 or 8112 fit on a 2007 fj Cruiser?
Yes. Same platform basically as my 2007 Lexus GX470
What ever happened to the F150 Application?!
We dunno, it was there and then it wasn't. Not enough demand out the gate, they need to drum up more interest in their core applications maybe. But they have it for the Ram 1500, which is surprising.

they aren't even on the bilstein US site yet. The 8112s on there have the new color but not the adjusters

I ordered them in late January still on back order. Bilstine said maybe June. But they keep pushing the date back
I don’t about these stock upgrade shocks unless it’s mid or long travel. 2nd part would be go get them tuned. If you’re spending a few thousand just get it done right.
huh? These arent considered 'stock upgrade' - these are the highest performing mid-travel shocks you can get for the Tacoma. These will wipe the floor against any comparable King option.
