I have a 2007 6.0 that someone didnt take back in during a recall on the HPOP rear fitting. It came with a 2 piece fitting and was supposed to get a new one piece fitting. Never happened. Truck running bad. Turbo wouldn't spin up. Replaced turbo. No High Pressure oil. Engine full of glitter. Ground off lobes on camshaft. I kust parked it. Still have it. Need to take block in and have it gone over first. Any way to tell if the HPOP on that one was recalled or replaced?

The only real way to be sure is remove the HPOP cover and look at the fitting. You can visually tell the difference. Let me see if I can find a picture.

It won't let me attach a picture but Google 6.0 powerstroke HPOP fitting upgrade. You will find a great article by XDP Diesel that shows the difference.

@@cincydieselrepair6893 Thank you but I already did that. Guess I wasn't clear. How do you know if that 6.0 you are working on has the right fitting?

I don't. I always recommend to the customer checking if I'm in that area working. I've been working on these trucks since they came out and I can tell you I've only had a handful of customers ask me to check that fitting. Usually people don't want to pay the extra labor cost.

@@cincydieselrepair6893 I understand. This was my first Ford. I've accumulated a lot of new parts for this engine. Cam is shot so I'm assuming the crank is too. Off to the machine shop for me. 😑
