Tbf, at 8:29 I greatly believe that one of the reasons as to why Griffith shoved himself onto Casca was he wanted some sense of control; a piece of what he used to have before the whole Charlotte incident. Griffith used to have it all in the palm of his hand and now that his weakness has overcome him, he had no say or power over anyone. Not even himself. The only way to truly hurt Griffith is not with physical blows or words, but with indifference. He believes that he is destined for greatness and much more than normal people and this brings him to use others as stepping stones to what he wants. Usually he has a firm grip on everyone and is able to manipulate them to where he sees fit, but it's when they break free from his grasp he is most vulnerable. At this moment Griffith knows that Casca is to weak and emotionally tied to him to fight back and is trying to mend his broken ego in one last ditch attempt of power over others.

The part where Griffith is begging for guts to stay has been a matter of debate for awhile, but I believe he means “I’ll never be able to forgive you”. Up to this point he saw that maybe even now could forgive him for leaving and (in his mind) destroying his dream having seen his life with casca, but the fact that it was guts that reached him first at the peak of his despair is unforgivable.

Spoiler warning for if you choose to read the manga before and past this point in the series!! I can't remember the next few episodes which you've probably seen by now but I'll try to answer some questions you had!!! Most of the things questioned aren't directly addressed in the manga or in the series, I haven't seen the movies so I'll give it my best shot to answer based on the manga filling in the gaps of the series, Griffith's mind is utterly broken at this point and arguably it was since Guts won his freedom, he is easily influenced either by hallucinations or by the godhand, some of what he sees or thinks doesn't make sense but with such a strong ambition, he's kind of a loose cannon. As for the eclipse, the behelit, and the blood, Griffith was genuinely committing with the piece of wood sticking out of the water, it's pure circumstance or "Causality" that the eclipse happened and that the Egg of the King returned to him at that specific point. A definite answer is: It is destiny that the eclipse will happen and that the Egg of the King will be activated during the eclipse. Whether that's able to be influenced or not isn't certain but it's likely with what happens in the next few episodes + the scene Griffith had in the dungeon.
even though you're doing the sub and not the dub, you should definitely do the bloopers reel for the dub after you're done with the show. it's hilarious.
Sadly, they didn't include Wyld in the show. This MF was a menace. He is an Apostle like the snake lord from the 1st epidlsode and like Zoddbut not as strong as him Zodd, still is a fearsome enemy. They probably didn't include him because of screen time like so many other things.
Right after you finish this series, you should probably react to the third movie. The movie trilogy retells the same story as the 1997 series but condensed. The 3rd movie however is a little different- it pretty much covers all these final episodes, but with extra story and context as well as going on a bit further past where this series ends, wrapping the story arc up much better. Right now mixing bits of the 97 series and the movie trilogy is the best way to watch Berserk unfortunately because the anime adaptions are either this one arc or the horrible 2016 series that is pretty bad and not particularly accurate to the story. Berserk is still an ongoing story though that's actually on it's final manga arc now so, hopefully one day we will get a complete anime series that covers everything.

There was no karma involved, they had an agreement and after a year straight of torture Griffith's mental state had decayed drastically. What you call "Betrayal" was an established agreement being followed up on, and what you call "Karma" is a barely sane person who lost everything being given a god-like status and acting on malicious desires. Guts returned to help Casca but when he heard Griffith was captured he risked life and limb to save his friend even after they had gone seperate ways.
