Yes. I dare say the best way to watch Berserk for now is 97 until Griffith is captured and then switch to episode 9 of Memorial Edition. Or finish 97 and watch from episode 9 of Memorial Edition.

I agree. Still absolutely astounding how they portrayed it in Memorial edition. But the '97 one is down right eerie and wrenching to see. It especially does a great job at showing how devastating it was to lose the band of the Hawk. Since there was more time to explore what these soldiers meant to us having more time to get to know them.
@@destinyeyoung0128Agree too, the movie version of Guts ripping off his arm is better imo, looks way more panicked and animalistic, however, I didn't really like the shots of Femto R-ing Casca(plus the sounds). In the '97 version you can only hear Guts and the music.

I can understand why people say Griffith did nothing wrong . But he did wrong. He just did wrong to accomplish a potentially better world. At least in his view . He’s similar to thanos in that way. There must be sacrifices
Honestly even if you only watch the last movie in the trilogy, it might be worth it because it shows significantly more than how this anime ended. Both the eclipse and after it. Any further than that, I don't know. There's the 2016 one that continues it but we all know what that adaptation is famous for. I guess it's still the last resort if you absolutely can't read the manga.
We agree that Skull Knight arrived 2 minutes too late. He could have avoided the rape or at least the end of the rape so that the baby was not contaminated and thus prevented Guts from self-mutilating and Casca from being defiled and going crazy. Damage. All because of that asshole Zodd!
The music in this episode is phenomenal. The eng dub version of this episode is more effective...specially guts scream in the end...chillllssss. I will suggest you to read manga first and then watch the other movies. The art in the manga is top notch...animation hasn't been able to match the standard of manga.
idk why but watching the english dub to me was more confusing .. i first thought this was against griffith’s will watching it but then watching it in sub it was the opposite
Not sure if you guys are gonna read this or not but you guys should definitely check out the memorial edition for berserk their 13 episodes and it is basically the golden age arc trilogy just extended and polished in episode format with more scenes that were not featured in the movies Definitely gain a subbed
It's unfortunate that adaptation had to end that way, but if you all have read the manga at this point, you'd know it was because they didn't have the budget to include one of Berserk's most important characters: Skull Knight. He's the one that saves them from the Eclipse, and they couldn't include him, sooo they just had to end it like that lol. I believe there was supposed to be season 2, but it was cancelled. There really is no better way to experience Berserk than through the manga.

What a series, you all had great reactions and phenomenal theories all the way to the end!!! I hope after the movies that you consider doing updates every few volumes, take your time of course!!! Don't let some people on the internet make you feel pressured to complete something!!! The anime left on a huge cliffhanger, thankfully I read the manga before watching the anime so I can only imagine how confusing this could be, I don't know if the movies provide anything more but I hope for everyone's sake that it does lmao Probably one of the most popular statements "Griffith did nothing wrong" is extremely valid to have a question about and there's multiple answers because it depends on who's saying it There's some people that genuinely believe that Griffith was right in *everything* he did since the Band members that were sacrificed had little value besides being sacrifices to Griffith in the end. There's people who seperate Femto from Griffith and recognize that what Femto did, Griffith was not directly a part of. Of course there's people who just say it ironically because there's plenty of things that Griffith did wrong, this episode and what he did after Guts won his freedom is evidence of this. There's also people who just don't believe what Griffith did is bad It's safer to not associate with people who say Griffith did nothing wrong because you can't immediately tell what context they're saying it in lol
I think we will do updates on each volume as we read them, this story is so good and definitely need to find out what happens next! We’re debating whether to react to the movies or the memorial edition but either way we want to keep putting berserk related content out because the community is great! And we enjoy engaging in conversation about this masterpiece lol thanks for your feedback bro! Was looking forward to your input in every video!
I always thought Void (brain guy) is the leader of the God Hand but it's difficult to say because while Im not quite finished with the Manga I only have 3 more volumes to go and the Godhand members never interact with each other aside from the eclipse and the beginning of the manga with the count in which you don't really have a hierachy either. The girl also isn't afraid to passiv aggresively ask Void if it's part of causality as well that Guts escaped the eclipse which also isn't in the anime. All I know is that Griffith is definetly Guts' arch nemesis and the main villain of Berserk which doesn't nessicarily mean he's the leader. He is destined to become King but the God Hand are also called Demon Kings
the way they end this anime is criminal
2 more minutes and the most badass knight would show up

injustice this is just the beginning. skull knight would've blown everyone's socks off.
this show made me read the berserk manga. Im just greatful for that alone.
The anim that touched my inner most ..made me think of the world in Anim Perspective aspect level ..
😢😢
Whoever the Maker is truely a Legend 🙏🙏🙏
If you watch the dub version the person who voice acted Guts sounds so well.
A complete Gigachad 😎👌🏻
Honestly even if you only watch the last movie in the trilogy, it might be worth it because it shows significantly more than how this anime ended. Both the eclipse and after it. Any further than that, I don't know. There's the 2016 one that continues it but we all know what that adaptation is famous for. I guess it's still the last resort if you absolutely can't read the manga.
This is my favourite anime of all time personally hit me in the gut ha
We agree that Skull Knight arrived 2 minutes too late. He could have avoided the rape or at least the end of the rape so that the baby was not contaminated and thus prevented Guts from self-mutilating and Casca from being defiled and going crazy. Damage. All because of that asshole Zodd!
Ending music hit way harder than in previous ending episodes.
Berserk is just so damn good
No
The person on the right looks like Keira Knightley.
Dont cry because it happened, struggle because its over.
🤣
Just recently finished this anime and INSTANTLY had to order the manga, because goddamn...
@@kaiiir9312 everything in your comment is completely wrong, it IS against Griffith and it is the exact same in both dub and sub.
@@crazyand2099 i don’t feel like trying to debate but look it up
Not sure if you guys are gonna read this or not but you guys should definitely check out the memorial edition for berserk their 13 episodes and it is basically the golden age arc trilogy just extended and polished in episode format with more scenes that were not featured in the movies
Definitely gain a subbed
Definitely doing the memorial edition and the manga! Thanks for the sub brother! 💪
A masterpiece story never has a happy ending I seen this back in 1997 an I was screaming Griffith!!!!!!!! With guts
All I can recommend is read the manga, because this is really just the start of the beautiful story
*_I'm rewatching Berserk and I'm in the middle of the last episode and yet again I'm crying like I've never cried. They were just poor kids living in an indecent time._*
Nothing could have Prepared me for that...
The first time I saw this I was 9 on VHS and thought the ending was awesome, glad y'all watched the original version
Reanimated version shows the full end of this arc and eases into the next one
Guys there is a masterpiece anime called Crying Freeman … I believe it’s 6 episodes… you gonna like it 👍🏼
Reading the manga FROM THE BEGGINING is a MUST.
Welcome to the trauma group 🤝
This ending is tough
@@igorsouza8208ik I'm caught up with manga and people still say Griffith did nothing wrong (even if it's just a joke) and those people doesn't deserve to live in society.
@@wacky1456yea i hate people that say others don’t know how to joke while they’re “joking” about unhinged things .. they need to grow up
This was too crazy! I need more!
I was waiting for this reaction and you guys delivered 🔥
I remember when i first watched this episode, i was at a complete loss for words. It still is wild. Griffith gotta die bro.
That get back is gonna be sweet
When i finished this about 2 months ago i felt so empty sad and angry such a painfull end and it got me in the manga too😢
is there any way to erese my memory and read berserk manga again ?(((
Wish they can continue the series and see what guys can transform into in order for vengeance
u need to see the movies there is more in the end to explain what happened and how he leaves
tbf i think caska did "see" judeau but rather as a brother in arms, a comrade..not a lover. which fucking sucks for our homie. but the core group would have all died for each other minus corkus, lover or not.
Agreed!
What a series, you all had great reactions and phenomenal theories all the way to the end!!!
I hope after the movies that you consider doing updates every few volumes, take your time of course!!! Don't let some people on the internet make you feel pressured to complete something!!!
The anime left on a huge cliffhanger, thankfully I read the manga before watching the anime so I can only imagine how confusing this could be, I don't know if the movies provide anything more but I hope for everyone's sake that it does lmao
Probably one of the most popular statements "Griffith did nothing wrong" is extremely valid to have a question about and there's multiple answers because it depends on who's saying it
There's some people that genuinely believe that Griffith was right in *everything* he did since the Band members that were sacrificed had little value besides being sacrifices to Griffith in the end.
There's people who seperate Femto from Griffith and recognize that what Femto did, Griffith was not directly a part of.
Of course there's people who just say it ironically because there's plenty of things that Griffith did wrong, this episode and what he did after Guts won his freedom is evidence of this.
There's also people who just don't believe what Griffith did is bad
It's safer to not associate with people who say Griffith did nothing wrong because you can't immediately tell what context they're saying it in lol
I think we will do updates on each
volume as we read them, this story is so good and definitely need to find out what happens next! We’re debating whether to react to the movies or the memorial edition but either way we want to keep putting berserk related content out because the community is great! And we enjoy engaging in conversation about this masterpiece lol thanks for your feedback bro! Was looking forward to your input in every video!
Now we need more Berserk and you know it
I always thought Void (brain guy) is the leader of the God Hand but it's difficult to say because while Im not quite finished with the Manga I only have 3 more volumes to go and the Godhand members never interact with each other aside from the eclipse and the beginning of the manga with the count in which you don't really have a hierachy either.
The golden age arc movies shows how guts survived the eclipse
It's so much worse when you figure out what the Brand put on them means...
The eclipse in the movie is 10x worse, in the manga it is 1000x worse, especially Caska's r@pe (it's much more violent and graphic)
