Bricksie, please don’t rush the process of building the Lego city. I’m sure a lot of people are commenting for you work faster or hurry up, but I think you shouldn’t worry about rushing the process. You were at max capacity in the basement for so long and all you could do was just keep moving things around. Don’t rush to get to the same point in the warehouse studio. I think you do a great job of getting a lot done. Don’t listen to the ones pushing you to do more faster. Keep doing what you do and just let it come together. Love watching the new build. Keep up the great work!
It would actually make a LOT of sense to have the lighthouse be the end of the rock formation because that emphasizes what they are for in many minds. "Hazard here, watch out" type stuff.
Having a long path down the top of rock wall to the lighthouse (either with it connected or having a little bridge) would be pretty cool. Loving the city so far, it’s looking eeepppiicccc
Hey Jordan. That's a great looking cove. Idea for you. Where I live we have a man made rock wall just like that protecting our cruise ship harbour. We have a light house built right at the tip of the rock wall. If you worked the rock wall into the rock base of the light house I think that would look cool. Thank you for your consistent uploads.
These folks who keep telling you that you should be adding texture, vegetation and detail, etc, to the city haven't listened when you said that you are going to be working on it after you've built all the main stuff. I think how you are building it now is fine - carry on with the order with what you're doing now. It's better to get all the big stuff out of the way first.
Agreed plus i think the smaller details will be even better if he gets the main stuff out the way first because it’ll give him plenty of time to think of little details/Easter eggs in his Lego city as he goes. That’s probably the most efficient way to build out his city considering the size of it lol
Love the cove! The water looks so good. Was thinking the lighthouse looks kinda out of place. Maybe could work it into the cove rocks or even placed into the corner of the cove where it turns. But whatever you want! It looks great!
Absolutely connect that long manmade waterbreak to the lighthouse. That's extremely realistic. Most of the world's lighthouses are at the end of peninsulas, whether they are large or small, long or short. Yes, we see lots of pictures of lighthouses on rocky islands by themselves, but that's only because they are photogenic. The reality is that lighthouses are more accessible when connected to the landmass, even if it's only a tiny strip. It would be really cool and fairly realistic to add a footpath all the way across the top of the waterbreak. Like a "well worn path" that makes it obvious people walk along the rocks daily, either to work in the lighthouse, to fish, or just to explore. Put some vegetation on either side with some dark tan plate to represent dirt and sand.
Like a few comments have said, I would connect the lighthouse to either the bend closest to the dock, or at the tip of the rock wall. Also, replace skate park with a beach volleyball court and the skate park can go by the residential or by the skyscrapers. 18:00
Strictly in terms of practicality, the build and storage area should all be downstairs in the extra room and the entryway. The display with all the bookcases should all be moved upstairs because how often will you actually look at them? Toss them all upstairs for the occasional visiting tour, and move your entire work area downstairs. Your body will thank you in the long run, and you can work way more efficiently and get things done sooner. You can dedicate the mezzanine solely for displaying and lounging with people. That will be more enjoyable as well for everyone.
Excellent update! Love the cove progress....it's nice seeing the art 'ready' to be placed.. It's a joy seeing you in YOUR element, designing, reworking, thinking thru challenges! Be safe and well.
Sending positive thoughts for Mrs. Bricksie as she recovers. I have had the same surgery so I get it. After stitches were out, I used paper tape (can get at Walmart) to cover the incision during the day and frequently rubbed over the tape to reduce the raised skin that can come with scarring. Mine is nice and smooth so there is no irritating scar bump to rub against when I type. City is looking fantastic. Two ideas to take or leave: 1. The canal looks great with the murky looking water. Have you considered putting just a small amount of that at the base of the rock wall in the cove to give the impression of algae or even some sage green looking brick going up the rock wall just a teensy bit. 2. You often have video of the city from the ocean end where you can see the legs. I know they were discussed once about not matching where you put in the extra legs. Have you considered putting a quick stain wash on the lighter colored legs so they more closely match the other legs. You can't really see the other legs so only the front row would need to have this done. Keep doing what you do!!!
I find it amazing how much of a transition just the change in colors presents. I love the timelapse portion. It felt so cool to speed up the plate work but also to see how the colored parts make it so much more alive and you can appreciate the amount of detail you are providing to the Lego City. The "mistake" actually feels better for your cove look. Definitely gives the docks a little more needed breathing room.
You Bob Ross’d the heck outta that cove. Happy accidents make for good looking Lego displays. Ignore any naysayers, it looks great. Really enjoy watching your videos with the kiddo. Thank you for your content.
Bricksie, put the lighthouse at the opening to the cove, sure, less ways to drive a boat into it, but then it also is calmer in bad weather as well. Now as for the old fishing store, do you not have a fishing boat in your harbour? Relocate it. There, a free harbour place and you have a sheltered cove.
I agree, connect the cove rock to the lighthouse and do the separate blue water on either side. Also, improve and expand the skate part up to the road. Just some thoughts!
Looking great Jordan, love to see it growing 😊 But you should enjoy the journey, without feeling pressured from other people to rush it. Especially when you are also helping Josee, after her surgery 🥰 as well as the twins x
The new cove is way better. I would keep the piers as are and move the smaller boats towards the cove and keep the bigger boats towards the other end. I also recommend moving the lighthouse to the end of the rock wall and integarate it in.
Had a belated thought on a possible way to make it easier to maintain placement and orientation when moving plates upstairs to work on them. It was making number tiles (say with label maker and sticking different numbers on various spare 2x4 tiles) then temporarily sticking one near a corner of each plate you're about to move and snapping a quick photo. Upstairs you could reference the photo to make sure the plates were arranged and rotated so all the numbers were in the same spots. (After which you can pop those number tiles off and set aside until next time).
Loved the cove! In low angle we can see it's aligning with the rock wall in the back. It would be interesting if the cove rock line were a natural continuation of the mountain range, disappearing beneath the water. You could do some standalone rocks on the water too. The elevation of the mountain could start on the grey plate behind the cove, where the trains lines bifurcate, it would be a chance to build cool tunnels or rock escavations, and also give a natural border between city zoo and countryside. Keep up the good work! Thank you for your videos!
Really like how the cove came together! I LOVE the idea of the sliding the lighthouse over by 1 baseplate and connecting it to the rock. Since the idea is that the rock wall is "human made", what if you expanded on that idea and made the story that they created the rock wall as a path for the lighthouse keeper to walk to the light house? Could do a really cool "rock walkway" and could even add figs taking pictures and such (my wife and I did this exact thing on a trip we took to Big Sur!)
I usually avoid commenting but I'm loving seeing the evolution of your Lego City, it looks awesome. I think my only (minor) criticism would be the transition from the canal to the sea; personally I would have had the water level of the canal 10 or so bricks lower so I could make some intricate bridge work but I know that's not feasible at the mo. Anywho, keep up the great work and apologies for the Panthers win; as a Finn I have always been a massive Oilers fan but also a Panthers fan, cos I grew up playing hockey with Jokinen and that generation of hockey players but I also remember when Edmonton won the Stanley Cup with Kurri and Tikkanen in 1990 :D
Hey man, I don’t comment a lot. But it’s all looking really awesome. Don’t feel too rushed or whatever by what people say in the comments. Take your time with it. LEGO is supposed to be enjoyable. Your LEGO city is going to be absolutely incredible. It already is incredible. Really great job and thank you for all the awesome videos. I think a lot of us who watch love the slow progress in each video. It’s kind of like when I build a Lego set - I don’t want to build it too quickly because I want to get the maximum enjoyment out of it so I try to take my time. All my best to your beautiful family as well.
You should really get the landing/dock back for the fishing shack. It would add another cool story with fishing off the pier...maybe get some crabs and get a crabbing vessel out there...
Hi Bricksie, you are doing a wonderful job on upgrading your new massive City. I don't think Lego are going to have enough parts for you to finish your city. 🤣 I'm not one to tell you what to do, I'm more of a "suggester". So my suggestions for the Cove area are a) Add a wooden wharf in front of the Old Fish Shack and b) have the area between the cove and wharf area for a Coast Guard Area, including a Helipad. Just some ideas. Keep Brickin.
The water and the rocks looks very nice. Its funny you made the mistake but the result of the pier is also nice like this. And good to see that you keep the place a bit nice now that you do the building upstairs where you have the bricks. So it looks all nice and clean. So good progress in your studio. Enjoy!
The cove looks epic, love it, All the detailing is great, The time lapse was also great to see your process in action, I think the view we got was superior to what was being done downstairs in terms of angle. Look forward to updates. Weaving "sidewalks" in the beach area like there are in California would be a fun detail
Always impressive! With the cove being one plate narrower, you could add a boat launch between the rocks and the docks. It would give minifigs a way to get their personal watercraft into the water. And who doesn't love the RUclips videos of folks failing over and over at backing up their trailers.
When you get to detailing the breakwater once it's in place you could use a couple of sea lions to add to the storytelling or if it's fresh water like the Great Lakes it could be gulls. The breakwater looks great
Make sure when you add more waves you change then so there coming from the ocean side - you can’t have waves in the cove area going straight sideways. Keep it up love it!
I think the cove looks great and I agree with everyone saying that you should connect it to the lighthouse. I look forward to more water detail when you have all the pieces!
Glad we haven't heard any lighting talk as of late. Hope we don't see that for another six years. However, I would like to suggest you make the mansion your sole lit building, and perhaps keep it at home below a TV for ambient lighting. I support the medieval island, but also love the mansion so you could show it every once in a while at home
Ok, now adding to 11:39 and 16:01(what am I making again?). I would add a long fold down/up table to a wall downstairs with the sky painted on the underside so you can fold it down and do your builds while having the city right behind you.
That's what I was originally picturing when you first talked about the cove, with the dark blue on the other side of the rocks and effectively connected to the lighthouse. The rocks look great.
The other option would be to make a recreational marina in the version of the wider cove. Either way I think you should connect the lighthouse to the end of the rock waterbreak. It’s starting to look great! Loving the general plan.
Jordan thank you for everything you do. You have inspired me to start my own lego moc. And more importantly to try and be a better person. Your love for you family and joy for live is always on display. THANKS again.
I think the idea of having another person help you with things like the water plates etc is a good thing, since you both would probably do them slightly different which would add to the randomness of its look.
Nice job, but the lighthouse is slightly too big compared to the rock structure imho. I woud make the rocks somehow wider, move the lighthouse half a baseplate away from the side of your table and half a baseplate to the right so you can connect to it to the rocks of the cove. Always fun to have a small boat being able to pass just in front of the lighthouse or some storytelling of a lost swimmer going around the lighthouse with a small rescue operation attached to it. Or a shark that has to be stopped entering the cove… lot’s of ideas - lots of possibilities!
I think it looks better and the large beach area is great. I had thought that the cove was a bit too big and also did not leave enough room left for the port, especially after you add fenders to the docks.
the energy Jordan shows after bringing the table upstairs on his own and running down the steps saying “THATS’S HOW YOU DO IT!!!” hahaha love this guy 😂👏🏽
Like the smaller cove. It has lots of potential. Had it been mine, I might have broken off the cove cliffs a bit earlier and bending/turning it perhaps 8-12 studs towards the beach, bringing a bit more distance to the lighthouse and closing off the cove a bit more. But keep working. These kind of videos are the best of your channel.
I'm impressed how much you got done despite the half day - hope your family's doing ok👍. For the new tan MILS plates you added, perhaps building some sand dunes as an alternative to rolling green hills might work?
Have you thought about putting the lighthouse one baseplate backward ? It would maybe look better with water in front of it & maybe easier to connect with the rocks of the cove ? Great work 👍👍👍
another thing you could do to add some color around and on the cove is a tide pool, could use small creature pieces like starfish and snails (does that piece exist?😂) and different combos of small parts as the diff creatures. it looks great!
Hi there it looks better where u put more sand don't worry about what people say about u haven't finished that parts of the city u can only do what time u got as other things in your life u have to deal with as well keep up with good work.x
It's a cove! it's not meant to have waves in it, it should be calmer water in there. Also can you connect the lighthouse with a little bridge? that could look excellent.
Like you said, I definitely think you should attach the lighthouse to the end of the cove wall. I’d also add a tiny pier and boat for whoever operates the lighthouse 😁😁 Love seeing the progress every day!
The cove is a happy accident, you needed something to stop the waves from the huge ships and to divide the public area from the dangerous areas. You could add some rocky shore habits for crabs and stuff with kids looking for them, etc.
Turning a negative into a positive 👍🏻 The placement with the lighthouse works great The water plates you made look great You're doing great, keep it up
We understand that things take time. No worries. It is all about the process. Once the process is over, you have an end result but that is the least fun part. So take your time because that means more content.
I agree. The lighthouse should be at the end of the cove. However the cove looks amazing but I think it needs to be twice the size height wise. I think you'll like these changes too.
I think the lighthouse would look best at the end of that wave breaker, that way it won't be positioned completely at the front of the table, but one plate back.
I feel once you’ve finished most of the work in the front corner, it would be cool to do a underwater area with submarines and other under water legos under the ocean area

Love watching the new build. Keep up the great work!
I do agree that the lighthouse connect with the rock formation is a great ideia!
Exactly! Like the rock formation serves a dual purpose
lighthouse as the end would work much better
Yep light house at the end of the rocks and maybe a smaller set of wooden docks by the fishing shack as a pleasure boat marina.
It would actually make a LOT of sense to have the lighthouse be the end of the rock formation because that emphasizes what they are for in many minds. "Hazard here, watch out" type stuff.
Hard agree on this.

Could have flipped table set it on its top and slide it up the stairs
That’s how I get things up and down the stairs on my own .
That cove looks amazing! Def have some scenes of people fishing off the rocks too.
I like that idea maybe people jumping in or swimming

3:34 what a view 😍 few more years and the city will look so big and complicated.. awesome 👌
Complicated I meant compact got to love autocorrect 😂

Suggestion: add a touch of green plate here and there underwater along the rocks for underwater vegetation.
Great job on the cove! There's a real art to rocks that I haven't managed to figure out yet.
You should really get the landing/dock back for the fishing shack. It would add another cool story with fishing off the pier...maybe get some crabs and get a crabbing vessel out there...
The cove looks amazing. I like that you're adding these landscape elements to the city. Great job!

“There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.” Nice Bob Rossing the cove! 🎉 Looking good.

Ocean tiles are looking great. Would love to see you use some of the space below the table for a deep sea scene (sharks, divers, shipwrecks etc)
I think the cove looks great and I agree with everyone saying that you should connect it to the lighthouse. I look forward to more water detail when you have all the pieces!
I wasn’t convinced by that dark water at first. But now I love it. It really does look like the ocean
I gotta love when I’m awake when Bricksie uploads as I’m Australian
Same I in Melbourne he youshaly up load around 11. ish 12 ish mid night time. 😊
No need to rest the process. The ocean plates look awesome. Love the video.

Can’t wait to see the Lego art set up! It will really complete the studio down stairs
Looks great!! Cant wait to watch your city come together
I recommend moving the lighthouse over and tying it into the cove rock. Would look great.
Jordan thank you for everything you do. You have inspired me to start my own lego moc. And more importantly to try and be a better person. Your love for you family and joy for live is always on display. THANKS again.
Love the deep water tiles and gray slopes go SUPER BRISKIE with the wheel table 🍕
Always feels like he wants everything to go fast. The more detail the better. Extreme detail
the process is the fun part!
Definitely move the lighthouse baseplate to the right and connect it to the cove, that would look real nice!
You should try to hide the table legs, paint them, or decorate them. Love the effort keep going bricksie.
coves my favourite part of your city so far
You could use the different colors of blue plate underneath to help with the light blue and dark blue tile transition in the water color
Where the new extra boat yard space is could be a cruise ship launch area and farther you go down the docks get more industrial
I'm impressed how much you got done despite the half day - hope your family's doing ok👍. For the new tan MILS plates you added, perhaps building some sand dunes as an alternative to rolling green hills might work?
I agree the lighthouse should definitely be at the end of the rock wall. it would tie it together nicely.
I am loving that cove so far
Have you thought about putting the lighthouse one baseplate backward ? It would maybe look better with water in front of it & maybe easier to connect with the rocks of the cove ? Great work 👍👍👍
I like the new cover shape by maybe blend it into the harbour more @12:44
I like the oopsie cove better! You could build a little sailing school in the cove. Tiny little sailing boats.
Could you do some intros or chats in the shelf rooms weaver into the vlogs? Really miss seeing all your incredible collection! 😃
another thing you could do to add some color around and on the cove is a tide pool, could use small creature pieces like starfish and snails (does that piece exist?😂) and different combos of small parts as the diff creatures. it looks great!
I really like the water depth idea and sure is an inspiration to add to my own build!
The cove looks fantastic
The sea water is the best thing you have added to the city looks amazing.
That water technique is looking wicked Jordan. Nice work.
That error created a beautiful cove 👌love the details ☀️
Love the cove so much! You're an amazing builder. I learn so much from your channel. ❤
Like you said, I definitely think you should attach the lighthouse to the end of the cove wall. I’d also add a tiny pier and boat for whoever operates the lighthouse 😁😁 Love seeing the progress every day!
I love seeing your Jurassic World Helicopter ending up in different parts of the city and keep making it into your videos.
Just coming to say connect the lighthouse! Looks freaking amazing 👏
Love how you dealt with the mishap. Things are looking great!
I love cove. It look awesome went you zoom out
2:40 flip the table and easily push it up
The cove is a happy accident, you needed something to stop the waves from the huge ships and to divide the public area from the dangerous areas.
You could add some rocky shore habits for crabs and stuff with kids looking for them, etc.
Looking Good~
Sand tends to get everywhere so how about add angled to where the sand meets the road to make the transition more natural
Turning a negative into a positive 👍🏻
The placement with the lighthouse works great
The water plates you made look great
You're doing great, keep it up
We understand that things take time. No worries. It is all about the process. Once the process is over, you have an end result but that is the least fun part. So take your time because that means more content.
Love the new and improved cove, awesome progress Jordan
Looking good...cove could use occasional tidal pool for a bit of variety/storytelling :)
I agree. The lighthouse should be at the end of the cove. However the cove looks amazing but I think it needs to be twice the size height wise. I think you'll like these changes too.
You might add a walking pier from the mainland to the lighthouse with pilings and tire bumpers and seagulls and lights.
You should add some coral color plates under the water for a reef look
I think the lighthouse would look best at the end of that wave breaker, that way it won't be positioned completely at the front of the table, but one plate back.
The water looks really good
I feel once you’ve finished most of the work in the front corner, it would be cool to do a underwater area with submarines and other under water legos under the ocean area
