We did have Thomas though which I loved as a very young child - the original is always the best! ❤ Loved seeing photos of your collections and that you liked “aesthetically pleasing things”. I really want to go extreme minimalist like you, as my whole adult life my house has been chaos. Even when I’ve decluttered a lot… it’s still not manageable enough for me when life gets stressful! I’m just curious if you find your home “cozy and comforting” when you’re feeling anxious or stressed. Also I’m totally with you on the needing to lose weight and get in shape! If you did a series on that I would love it! That’s another reason I want to be “extreme minimalist” so I have no excuses for not exercising and have the mental clarity to focus on being productive. I’m also “vegetarian” technically pescatarian because I occasionally eat fish. I stopped eating “meat when I was 12 because it always grossed me out, back then vegetarianism wasn’t so common (especially among school kids - was difficult on school camps) so it was easier just to say “vegetarian”. I have definitely eaten foods with gelatine, which grosses me out if I think about it so I have to turn my brain off if I do! So I would still consider you vegetarian 😅 One more thing I’m curious about is how you travel as a single mum/woman. Do you travel alone or with your daughter? I never take my kids on holidays as a single mum as it just sounds exhausting and stressful. But solo travel really doesn’t appeal either! Would love to hear more about your travels! ❤ Hoping your channel continues for many years to come!
I don't feel like a "proper" adult yet either 🤣 I loved the original Thomas too 🩷 I need my home like it is when I get stressed as before I'd get really overwhelmed with the stressful problem plus then tidying, hoovering, dusting, laundry, washing up etc etc and it just feels *too much*. In June when I had a crappy month and felt overwhelmed, I barely did any dusting or hoovering but it still stayed clean. I just made sure I did the washing up and laundry and that kept it tidy. I've found it OK on the whole but eating out and holidays have proved slightly more difficult. I did try a few days of vegan but that was way too hard for me at the moment. I travel solo and I absolutely love it lol. I find such freedom in it and I can go where I want, when I want and I can be social when I want to and make friends or perfectly happy in my own company. Glad you're feeling better about the housing situation. I'm not surprised you were stressed before you had time to think about everything and work out a plan.
Thanks so much again for all the help. I'm still looking but I think now I've calmed down(!) I can look at it more rationally and stay put whilst I look for the right area and house rather than rush into something or somewhere and regret it
@@minimalismandmore I'm just glad you're not in an emergency situation and can make a decision based on what's best rather than what's quick. But you've given yourself that option by having saved up and being cautious with money. So give yourself credit for how your way of life has helped you. Meanwhile, you are helping me. I definitely have too much stuff and have made extra effort this week and last to take out things from wardrobe that don't fit or I don't wear. I'm not ready to get rid of it all yet so I've compression stored it and am picking bits out to declutter. But stuff I do wear and does fit now fits in my wardrobe. I didn't want to take it out before as I felt like I'd have to declutter it immediately and wasn't ready to so put it off. Also given away a bag of kids clothes for free. I bought next years uniform last week so have listed the outgrown things ASAP. Some gone already to someone on a low income. Hopefully it means that someone gets a uniform (or spare ones) they don't have to stretch themselves to buy. When I've done it later in the holidays people have already bought things.

Super organised with the uniform, that's next week's job for me 😊
@@minimalismandmore we find the M&S school shirts last and wash so well that I buy those rather than cheaper ones. I just happened to be driving past which is the only reason I got them this soon. Even in early August last year they were out of stock for some of the bits I needed. The way they last though is why I've got all but 1 to donate (sharpie pen stain so not the shirt's fault). They are a bit more ££ than tesco or asda but as I've never lost one to being ruined and don't need to iron them, it's more than made the extra money back. I then give them away at the end of the year to someone else. I'm pretty sure they'll do someone another year 😂 If I was just off to buy "some shirts" rather than these particular ones I'd do it late. 😂
@@minimalismandmore when you do another one of these Q&A videos I'd be curious to know how you get over the worry of only having one of something, or whether you ever even had that worry. So for me, I won't just have one shower gel in the house. I've got a little stockpile. Obviously some come in as gifts as Xmas etc so I wouldn't throw them away. But I wouldn't let myself get down to the last one and I'm not sure why that is. Same with lip balm and moisturiser etc. Given those items hold no emotional value, I'm curious whether you had to overcome concerns about just having one, or not. I've tried to change my approach a bit, in terms of using up one bottle or tube before starting another (rather than rotating through a few for variation). I won't declutter the stockpile as it's a waste that I'd have to rebuy. So I'm trying to use one and then the next. But I'm wondering how I can get in a zone to not feel I need back ups of things. I must be concerned somewhere along the line that I'll struggle to get one as nice again (lol). But it's shower gel. So that's irrational. Presumably those of us with back ups of lots of things are doing that for some subconscious reason. Some of my clutter must be needless repeats of useful things. Rather than pointless stuff (clothes that don't fit anymore!).

Lovely video 🙂 I was vegetarian for years when I was younger, I have tried to return to it but my hubby and daughter eat meat and at one point I was cooking three separate meals every night, which stressed me out. In my heart I know I should be veggie or even vegan and I think once my daughter is older I will return to it. I used to love statement jewellery too, now I only have a few pieces of silver, gold that go with any outfit and its so much less stress and less things to get tangled lol. I am still minimising more and more, I think if it was just me I would have hardly any furniture lol. Have you seen the channel “Mostly Mindful”? Two lovely ladies who are quite minimal, I have been binging their channel, you might like it. I still dream of starting a channel once I get the courage! Plus we have a 9 month old puppy who has eaten most of the living room so I couldn’t bring myself to do a tour of that just yet 😂 He is getting better though. Hence we need a new table and chairs and I think we will get the same ikea one as you 🙂. Have a smashing holiday! Can’t wait for your next instalment xx
You have to do what is best for you and like you say you can go back to it if that's what you decide to do 🩷 Jasmine is the same, she still wants to eat meat so I have to make separate meals or add meat in at the end stage which is a bit of a pain but I'm getting used to it now. I loved my jewellery I really did enjoy wearing them. I started collecting jewellery as I had the idea that then I could have a minimal wardrobe but outfits would look different if I switched up the jewellery. But... they released the collections so frequently and have such a big choice everytime and I wanted them all and they were so expensive that it became stressful. I'd have to stay awake til the early hours for the launch and be gutted if I missed out and then spent hours trying to find someone re selling them, which they did at a premium 😑 I've not heard of that channel, I shall take a look thank you 🩷 You should totally do it! Thank you ☺️ I will do it at some point, I feel like I want to I just hate being in front of the camera, I can’t believe my younger self loved performing in plays on stage! Now after some years of anxiety and depression, which has mostly passed but has left me hating being centre of attention. But I love minimalism and its message and I love the community I just need to push myself! By the end of the year I will have a channel! Your channel definitely inspires me a lot. Like you said we need to set ourselves challenges to progress xx
Yes! That was me. Anxious, depressed and battling even going to the shops. I don't even like getting my photo taken so sitting infront of a camera is alien to me, I'm still not used to it but it is getting easier as I know I have lovely subscribers so I act like I'm just chatting to friends now lol. I kept making excuses and saying maybe when the house is done or maybe when I've lost some weight etc so in the end I just filmed one and put it up straight away so I didn't chicken out!
It really helps doesn't it. I used to feel guilty for not wanting to spend time with certain people or doing certain things and feel selfish, but not anymore. I'll be there for close friends and family but other than that I'm quite minimal in that area
@traceyjane4288 Thank you. I hope he does as I've been asking for the past 6 years but didn't want to push it incase my rent went up. Now that it has I can up the asking lol. She's an absolute beaut isn't she 😍 They all looked so lovely for their party bless them x
I love your video as always. Can I ask for your declutter your social contacts? I used to have hundreds of contacts in my phone or social media accounts but I found it’s so overwhelming so I deleted the contacts that never made in last two years or names of people I can’t even remember who they are. I also deleted my social media accounts except RUclips . I used to like share my moments on social media and found so satisfying when I got lots of likes but if not I feel upset .
I have next to no one in my phone contacts and I don't have hardly any social media 🙂 Even that stresses me out. I have 2 youtube channels, this one and 1 I listen to music on. A facebook which I use for marketplace to sell and local groups like school mums etc. I tried tiktok but I hated it so deleted it almost immediately as it was over stimulating. Soon as opened it a video started playing even if it wasn't one I was interested in. I will try and do a phone/social media video on it in detail if that interest you?

But I love minimalism and its message and I love the community I just need to push myself! By the end of the year I will have a channel! Your channel definitely inspires me a lot. Like you said we need to set ourselves challenges to progress xx
Yes! That was me. Anxious, depressed and battling even going to the shops. I don't even like getting my photo taken so sitting infront of a camera is alien to me, I'm still not used to it but it is getting easier as I know I have lovely subscribers so I act like I'm just chatting to friends now lol. I kept making excuses and saying maybe when the house is done or maybe when I've lost some weight etc so in the end I just filmed one and put it up straight away so I didn't chicken out!
like you iam minimal with people and who i give my time too x
It really helps doesn't it. I used to feel guilty for not wanting to spend time with certain people or doing certain things and feel selfish, but not anymore. I'll be there for close friends and family but other than that I'm quite minimal in that area
💖💖💖
How are you my lovely? Missing your videos x Hope you’re ok xx
glad you got a bit of money off lets hop your landlord does some work x Jasmine its so pretty x
@traceyjane4288 Thank you. I hope he does as I've been asking for the past 6 years but didn't want to push it incase my rent went up. Now that it has I can up the asking lol.
She's an absolute beaut isn't she 😍 They all looked so lovely for their party bless them x
How are you? It's been a while since there was a video. I miss you.
Lol I have a postman pat book in my memory box cos I loved it so much when I was young. I am 4 years older than you.
It's pure nostalgia isn't it 🩷 I still hum the theme tune on occasion!
@@minimalismandmore yeah lol its oddly comforting. Love the art that went into the scenery as well. Especially the roofs.
Could you a video on sorting jewellery or clothes best wishes to you both
Thank you 🩷 On how I sorted them previously?
'Morning 😊
@@mihaeladaia4673 morning 😊👋
Hey it's Hannah Jasmine's friend hows holiday going😁
Hey lovely, it's been amazing thank you 😊 She's having lots of fun! Hope you are having a lovely Summer holidays so far too 🩷
Take us a few holiday pics. 😂
@briggle4982 We are only going to Butlins minehead for a week but as we've never been before she's very excited. I will definitely take some pics and share for you 🙂🩷
@@minimalismandmore it's somewhere I've never been, but a bit too people heavy for me. I have friends who love it and usually go on quite expensive far flung holidays. So if it was less busy I'd happily go from their reviews.
@briggle4982 It's definitely more for Jasmine than me! We've booked archery and rifle shooting and the circus plus the fair, swimming, park and beach etc so I'm sure she'll love it. I've booked the absolute cheapest accommodation so I hope that's OK 🤞🏻
@@minimalismandmore it should be clean and have beds and hot water whether it's the cheap or the expensive one. If you've booked all those things you won't be in it very long anyway. 😂
As long as we have a clean bed, clean toilet and a clean shower we will be set 👌 It's just a base for us anyway as we'll hopefully be off enjoying ourselves! 🤞🏻
Hi Kerry I’m Sandy
Hi Sandy 👋
ALL THIS TIME, I THOUGHT YOUR NAME WAS BARBARA 😂
🤣🤣 That made me laugh 🤣 Save me as that in your phone now 😆
@minimalismandmore I will! I will speak off you like a dark secret and use a code work. Make you sound 80 and crippled. Lol.
Crafting means stuff 😂
@karengoodchild7510 Don't I know it! 🤣🤦🏻♀️ I had a full on craft room at 1 point 🤦🏻♀️
