Someone stop me, going crazy over what beige, cream, or griege neutral color to pick for my dark narrow hallway 😭
These videos are so helpful!
Glad you think so, thank you!
Love your videos, straight to the point, great information, well informed, thank you!
Enjoying all of your videos while choosing colors from my home build this summer. Love your explanations and great presentation.👏👏
This was a great presentation. Thank you!
I'd read your aesthetic white review (and a zillion others) a few months ago and ordered samplize samples. It was a contender for living room / dining room but now I think your video has convinced me to use it. Thanks so much for the extra info, really helpful.
I love to hear that Pat, comparison is SO important, as is doing your research!
The Paint Master graces us with another great review!
I'll take that - thank you!
SO glad I found your channel.
Me too! I'm glad you're enjoying it :).
Just ordered my Samplize of this color, as well as Oyster White, City Loft, and Palisade from Sherwin Williams as colors for consideration for painting my oak master bathroom cabinets. Trying to pair it with Sherwin Williams Modern Gray, white quartz counters and mid-2000's builder-grade light beige shower and floor tile. This is the color I am most excited about based upon the paint chip.
I LOVE Aesthetic White. It has that soft beige look that some tiles need, without being 'builder beige'. I'll cross my fingers for you!
I’m considering aesthetic white for a room with a gray couch and gray area rug. I was hoping it would add some warmth to offset the gray. Would this color go well with grays? My other choice was classic gray, but I’m sort of feeling grayed out (I’m sure the gray weather doesn’t help).
Did my whole house in this color. In my north facing bedrooms, it looks very gray. In the open room areas with li=its of light (sunny Florida, it is very beige. )…on a dark rainy day, it looks a bit muddy.
I painted almost every room in our new build this exact color with Pure White trim and Kitchen Cabinets and it’s such a great combo!
Did you paint the kitchen cabinets pure white or aesthetic white?
@@elidiaalvarez829 I painted them pure white
This is exactly what I did, but I can't tell the difference. I don't know if because the floor and countertops are covered.
I just asked for high reflective white. Do you have pics?
@@yuridiamendiola1541 you can’t tell the difference between the pure white and Aesthetic white? You should definitely see a difference. I do have pictures. What is the best way to get them to you?
@@cristenvoorhies6310 I would like pictures if possible I’m looking for the perfect color and having trouble finding one
Used Windresh white downstairs and it's beautiful in fact my painter fell in love with it and is painting his new home Windresh. Aesthetic is on the same card 3 numbers up I'm going to give this a try for rest of house. Ty
I love Windfresh White! I haven't done a review of yet, but it's on my list - thank you for letting me know!
que bonito tu pelo ❤
Hi Kylie,
What neutral would be darker than White Duck but lighter than Accessible Beige?
My trim and cabinets are painted High Reflective White and my tile floors are white. I LOVE White Duck, but it's too close to my Calcutta Gold Quartz - it almost clashes a bit.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. 😊
Hi Kylie, I love your videos, they've been so helpful with choosing colors for our remodel (it's time for an update, we've been here 20 years!). Aesthetic White looks fantastic in our house from my samples, but the trim is White Dove. Will that fight and be fugly, or is it OK? :D
If if do aesthetic white walls, extra white or high reflective for trim/window casings would you say accessible beige or worldly gray would look good on doors? Any thoughts?
Kylie, thanks for your amazing blog/RUclips channel! Could you do a review on Etiquette BM? It’s part of their affinity collection and I would love to hear your opinion on this color. Thanks for everything!
Just built a house with Aesthetic White as the main color throughout the interior and we love it, especially in the rooms with a lot of windows.
Ooooo, I'm so glad to hear this, I swear it's the next big thing in neutrals!
@@slepey I have not seen it pick up a pinky cast, regardless of the lighting in the room. If anything, it appears more neutral gray in north facing rooms and warmer and slightly creamier in rooms with south or west windows. But it is a subtle difference.
Kylie, Hi! I am struggling to find a paint That will gp with The builders choice of Ivory Lace on trim and ceilings. Would Aesthetic White be the answer? Thank You!
Hi Kylie, I was wondering if you could recommend me a white paint for a small bedroom, my intention is to paint it but I want it to look bigger and elegant. Which color should I paint it ? Just wanna mention, I don’t really like yellow looking, I prefer pink tan undertones💖🥺
Hi Kylie, I have a video idea for you. Identifying the "Emily in Paris" Savoir office colors. Might be fun, and they used some really beautiful and interesting wall colors.
Well now, THAT'S interesting - I've never heard of it! I googled and MAN are those pretty colours, slightly romantic, old world. Is this Emily In Paris a big thing and I'm just out of the loop ;)??
Can you use aesthetic white as an exterior trim color with balanced beige?
Would love to see Belgian White. Trying to find the perfect beige with not too much yellow.
I just painted most of my house Accessible Beige and I think it is too dark in my south facing living room. If it doesn’t dry lighter I am considering repainting with Asthetic White. What do you think?
Damn!!!😊❤
You may be to busy to answer this question, but will this go with light shiny travertine floors that are pretty neutral toned?
I love Aesthetic White, but it ia a little too light for my space. Have you ever tried to darken it by 25-50%? If so, how did it turn out?
Hi
What would be the lighter version of this color for SW or BM
Great explanation.
Glad it was helpful!
If you have antique white cabinets would this color work?
Hi Kylie, I'm considering Pearly White and struggling between these two. Any chance you can do a review on Pearly White.
Hi Kylie, I saw you used a lightened Edgecomb Gray in your home. How does aesthetic compare to edgecomb gray or lightened Edgecomb?
Hi Kylie! I love you reviews! I’ve been watching for awhile. I love the color of the bookshelves behind you! What color is it?
It’s incredible white
Hey Kylie! Know any colors like aesthetic white but a little deeper? Thanks!
Hi Kylie, I’ve been reading your blogs on your website. No shortage of information there. If you please, will peach go with High Reflective white, thinking office? Thank you.
Hi, Kylie. Would you please review SW steamed milk? I noticed you have used it sometimes to compare to other soft or off-whites, and that you considered it pretty with oak cabinets or floors. I'm considering it for an entry & hallway that has part red-orange oak flooring and part beigey carpet, where the walls need to hold some warmth.
I actually just had another person comment on this colour, so I've DEFINITELY got it on my to-do list for the New Year, thank you!
How would you compare Aesthetic White to Rare & Radiant as far as undertones? And if Aesthetic white is my wall color, and countertops are white quartz, but not white white, more creamy… what’s the best trim color? Pure White makes my countertops look pink. 🤷🏼♀️ I’m going cross eyes over here! Lol
Hi Kylie, we are thinking of going with SW Aesthetic White on walls and for doors/trim SW Snowbound 7004. Do you think it would work well? Thank you!
NOPE! I don't reply to every comment, but I had to reply to yours ;). Snowbound is a tricky one. It's formulation changes based on the type of paint it's put it. I've seen it pick up a wink o' green as well as PINK and even a bit of yellow. I advise going simple and clean with something like SW High Reflective White or BM Chantilly Lace or at the MOST, ask them to lighten Aesthetic White for you and see how that looks :).
I painted a bedroom this color. It is PINK Or if you like, a very light taupe.
That said I don't hate it
Hi! I am wondering your thoughts on if Aesthetic White would go well with Extra White. We are putting Extra White in our finished basement, because there is not much light down there (just egressed windows in the three bedrooms, but no windows in the living area). What undertone would Extra White pull out of Aesthetic White?
Wellll, I'm torn on Extra White. The thing is, at HEART it's a cool white with a wink of blue, although once it settles on trims/cabinets, this doesn't seem to show up. PERSONALLY the thought of Aesthetic White and Extra White makes me nervous with the warmth of Aesthetic, I worry they could fight a bit. I would be MORE inclined towards SW High Reflective White if it were me, which is still WHITE, but not cold.
HI Kylie, Would you recommend using Aesthetic White or City Loft in a room with very little natural light? I am looking to brighten up a middle unit townhouse, which does not get very much natural sunlight at all. Finishings all lean towards a warm finish, including tile floors. Will either of those paint colors work out? Thank you for your helpful videos!
Following! I am currently in this exact situation. Middle unit TH with low natural light! What color did you decide to go with?
Surprisingly i have samples of city loft and aesthetic white! I can’t decide!
I love this color. Will it work with cherry cabinet?
You just have to watch as sometimes when placed with considerably red or pink tones, Aesthetic can look a WINK green.
Frequently I see that those warm whites looks with more tone in the video than in the the paper samples and It’s very difficult realize the true color before paint the wall. Thank your help.
This is so true, whites are THE HARDEST to sample!
Help! I have antique white cabinetry. What greige can work with it?
Hi Jeanine, Antique White cabinetry is a tough sell when it comes to greige and gray. The key is to find one that's DARKER than your cabinets. If you try to go lighter (which is what most people want), it can be an uphill battle. This often makes the walls darker than you want, but otherwise, it rarely works, and even then, it can be tight. Opt for a wink MORE green undertone vs less as if you get any purple in there, it could clash.
What color are your bookcases?
Hi! They actually came that way as they're Ikea Hemnes :)
Hi Kylie, I"m considering doing our neutral gender nursery in this colour. currently I have mustard yellow and earthy rust type crib bedding and accent colours. Would you think that would work?
I have a new home and the interior was just painted aesthetic white and the trim alabaster. 😅 It’s not ugly, I swear 😂. I really wanted the trim to be less bright than one of the pure white colors, and alabaster luckily reads pretty neutral in my house and not yellowish at all. My only complaint really is that in certain areas, close to the the ceiling, aesthetic white reads pinkish. The combination of the two colors looks just fine though because alabaster looks so neutral.
Here are the ratios I just calculated for the RGB values for each color. They are very close, which is why I think they go well together. I think the paint stickers might not show the color well, but the color chips are more accurate to me.
Alabaster: R34.1% G33.7% B32.2%
Aesthetic White: R34.4% G33.5% B32.0%
I was planning aesthetic white throughout our house with Alabaster trim and kitchen cabinets. Please tell me more! Are the colors just too close to each other? Do they fight? What did you do ceilings? Any advice appreciated @KristinLBuck thank you!
@@carolnoble9219 I really love Aesthetic white, so I would recommend that color. It’s a great neutral and I think it’s calming to have it in the whole house. If I paint the trim in the future, I wouldn’t pick Alabaster again. After living with it for a while, in certain lighting, the two colors really don’t look the best together, but not for the reasons mentioned in the video. I think Aesthetic White tends to go sort of pinkish beige in some light (I don’t want to scare you, it doesn’t actually look pink, but you can tell it has that sort of undertone). On the other hand Alabaster can have a yellow tone to it, so the pinkish/beige/gray tones in Aesthetic White and the yellow in Alabaster really don’t match, and it becomes even more noticeable if you have bright white light switches/outlets. Something else is that I have never noticed Aesthetic White pulling greenish tones and I have it in every room, so I have been able to see it with all different lighting, and I never noticed a green tone.
For the ceilings, our builder picked the color, so I’m not sure what it is, but it’s probably Ceiling Bright White.
Thank you sooo much@@KristinLBuck ! We have Alabaster kitchen cabinets in our current home with accessible beige walls next to, and I love the look as its slightly creamy warm without going yellow BUT that is probably due to lighting. Remodeling a second home and choosing one paint color throughout and wanting a different trim and cabinet color. Didn't want dark like accessible beige and whites are so hard. I got a carpet to match my dogs fur :) and it tends slightly reddish which clashes with other stuff. Everything looks neutral until you pair it with something else! So are you going to paint your trim another color? Last time we painted before this I chose poorly and lived with for several years. Didn't seem to bother anyone else, but it tended VERY greenish in low light and made me sad sometimes. Green is beautiful, but wasn't in that space haha! So I understand right, you would completely do aesthetic white again, but not Alabaster trim with it? Your review was so very helpful, thank you!
CUAL ES EL PRECIO
The decorator at my local sherwin williams said in no way to use high reflective white on baseboards and trims and doors. She said it is too bright. She said to go with pure white.
That’s her opinion and it’s not correct imo
@@mssha1980 my cabinets are pure white so it goes with that. I have an open kitchen.
@@debbiemartin2026 pure white is fine as well. I love that color
Kylie, I got many samplize samples and settled on aesthetic white for my living room because of no strong undertones and it looked like the perfect neutral to compliment my stacked stone fireplace. SURPRISE!! When I put the actual paint on the wall it looks terrible, there's a strong PINK undertone! What happened (it is Sherwin Williams paint)? It looks nothing like the Samplize!
Something in your house is causing it to pull pink(fixtures or lighting). It’s not the paint.
@@mssha1980 Thank you, that's probably true, but why wouldn't the pink show up on the Samplize?
Too bad for those of us with alabaster trim throughout our house. Literally every light neutral color Kylie days will be “fugly” with alabaster.
I love it when you say fugly 😂
It feels good to say it too ;).
@@KylieMInteriorsPaint lol 😂 yes it does! Your videos are helping me so much. Our new house has a big beautiful master bedroom bath open floor concept but we have south west lighting in that room. 🥴 Not well lit, YET. I’m so tempted to just paint it white 😂🙌🏻
@@KylieMInteriorsPaint also thank you for your videos! They have been so helpful. The value is priceless! ♥️
Oooo, what about SW Pure White? I mean, i haven't seen your ROOM, but it's purdy!
Hello. In my year’s long quest for the right paint colors, I noticed something pretty important. All white room which are professionally staged have big windows with no blinds or curtains and get an enormous amount of light. In fact, the whole farmhouse trend seems to avoid window treatments. This is important, and not really discussed by anyone. White rooms have to be over lit to look their best. So I am heading toward a Collinswood or Shoji white in my darker public rooms. I have use window blinds due to art & furniture that I want to protect. Cheers
Hi Derek, this is SO TRUE - you don't see many low-light white rooms! MInd you, then can be a real bugger to get photos of. As for window treatments, I wonder if it's because they often do black windows and like to see more of that? I've never thought about it, but it's a valid point. I'mrelating your point directly to a home I'm building personally and the walls will be white with big windows and I wasn't planning on window coverings for some areas, now I have to think about WHY?!!! I have 3 or 4 reasons involving cost, view, traffic. I think in the 'ideal' world i would have some though as I find they just SOFTEN a space.
Well I made a sample and I does not look like your colour at all! It look dirty grey😥 there no beige or cream visable...weird
Hi Anna, it ALL depends on the lighting in your room, the exposure, as well as your interior finishes - colour can change so drastically, not just on a room-to-room basis, but on a WALL-TO-WALL basis. Sounds like your room might be a lower light, possibly northern or east-facing?
Yes it’s totally a different color kind of silverish gray
@@KylieMInteriorsPaint so what light is good for it? Mostly colors are viewed in northern light don’t they?
