I’m considering this color for my family room right now! Just trying to find a coordinating color like Taupe Tone to set it off. Taupe Tone is pretty dark though!
Great video! Very informative! Unfortunately in my dark, open space (big East and North Facing windows with lots of big trees outside) City Loft looks like dirty white, or unpainted cement. Very dingy and unattractive. What colors with more chroma but still light to open the space could you recommend? We are planning to sell the house so it has to be neutral color. Thank you!
Kylie, I liked your video! we are going to paint the exterior of our house in SW City Loft, SW High Reflective White trim with Black Fox on gutters, door and down spouts. What are your thoughts? We are south facing.
Hi Kylie, what colors would you recommend so it doesn't look dingy? I've tried many greiges and grays and none are working in my north facing room. Anything in the mid/ upper 60's LRV is still too dark. It seems around the low 70's is the better LRV. I just to have to find a neutral color that will work and it's been so difficult. I heard you mention a higher chroma. I am open to any suggestions :) Thanks
Hi Kylie! What is the color of your wall in this video? It looks beautiful with the lighting. We currently have Amazing Grey as a whole home color that was a new build. I love it in out south facing living room, but it can be a bit dark or too "beige" for my husbands liking, we are definitely looking to lighten up our home :) Agreeable Grey, and City Loft have caught out eyes for sure, but do you think they would pair well with all of our SW Extra White trim? Thank!
Hiya! This is actually Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist, which is QUITE similar to City Loft! It will have a soft violet undertone vs the green found in Amazing Gray :)
I love the High Reflective white from SW. I used it 3 yrs ago for all my trim, after comparing so many whites. Can you do a review/compare on SW Ivory Lace? I’m seeing it used on cabinets in SWest Ohio. TY
Hi Kylie-would you suggest SW Snowbound with City Loft? It’s listed as a compatible color online. We are considering city loft for our southwest facing livingroom, snowbound for trim, and pure white for ceiling. I’m wondering about reflective white now though! Thoughts? Edited to add-I should say I’m also wanting an overall warm tone and feel to the space. No cool grays for this girl! Thank you!!
@@mfweiss1 i actually went with Zurich white which is a lighter version of city loft (from my research haha). I LOVE it. I was worried about it flashing purple which it does at certain times of the day, so definitely paint a sample on the walls to see if this will happen to you.
@@mayhorseradish Interesting - I am considering Zurich too but this morning I was studying it and for some reason it looked pink. What trim did you use with Zurich?
@teressawill7220 I didn't paint the trims but they are very pure white. I can definitely see how Zurich could come out pink in certain lights! For my home it just looks like a *slightly* deeper white, although no one else can see this difference 😂
Is this a good coastal oceanfront home color? I do have dark taupe sofas, drift wood floors, squat blues and cream pool bath a faux finish taupe ahd cream and travertine fireplace mantel. Open large plan , up Stairs, darker hallways, otherwise soaked in sun Daytime. I do want something not to Warm or too cool. Refreshing beach color. .
Hi Amy, nope, they're difference! I don't think I have a video of Crushed Ice yet, but I do have a review of it on my blog for you! www.kylieminteriors.ca/quick-paint-colour-review-sherwin-williams-crushed-ice-sw7647/
Ahhhh, that's more about the line of paint than the color, as any light color will show marks. Many paints don't clean, wash, or even WIPE very well. At some point, it's about doing a fresh coat on the entire wall (BM ScuffX is amazing and SW also has Scuff Tough. I've heard it's not as good as ScuffX, but better than many other of their lines for washability). I'd say Magic Eraser, but it can take the sheen right off your paint!
Hi there, I am looking for a grey wall colour for my sons north and slightly east bedroom. He has a black and white thing going on. Kind of modern industrial, with a wall that is wall papered with black brick( has grey and whites in it too) As you expected finding a grey wall colour that looks grey has been a nightmare. We are tried Seattle(formally color wheel ..too purple), Grey owl( too green) cliffside grey ( way too blue), Paper white (turned electron baby blue) Collingwood( turned pink, mauve), The big chill, Stonington grey, ( bluey green and yellow) Silver Chain( too purple ). Agreeable grey( too green doesn’t look grey) . He had a medium tone charcoal upholstered bed and weathered oak furniture, black and white herringbone bedding. Our carpet is a beige tan colour. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My son has moved into our room with my husband( as sleep is essential for them) and I have been on the couch with the dogs for two weeks. Plus I have been up half the night in search of a paint colour so we can get our life back! I am almost ready to move on from grey and go to white, however, I am terrified I may have the same situation with white. Any recommendations for either a grey that will look grey or a white that will look white would be sooooo appreciated. Warm greys just don’t look like grey in his room. SOS Sincerely, Shannon
Navajo white or Barley Beige from BM…a country couch with red ,green & yellow in it.. which would look better … is that a good colour to pick with lots of windows?
I have beige tile and Travertine tile in my house. I was looking at Asthetic White, City Loft and Windfresh White to see if it look good with my tiles. Sincerely I am still looking at the samples and wondering which will be best. Can someone help me on this?thanks.
Ughhh, yes, the eternal battle for High Reflective White. And yes, it can, as funny enough, when Extra White is mixed into trim paint, it comes up WARMER than you'd expect :) You can ask them to add some white tint to the gallon to top it up :)
Hi Bethany, i love you for asking this! I've got a mix, actually, as I don't want to dedicate my lighting to one particular temperature. In my ceiling light, I have LEDs sitting at 3000K. My table lamps are 3000k (but affect the samples the least as they're behind) and my spot lights are actually 4500-5500K. All have higher CRI's.
My living area is this color and it is seriously the most beautiful neutral color. I’m OBSESSED!
I’d love to see a video for drift of mist

Beautiful color and I love the curls.

@@KylieMInteriorsPaint Your welcome 😉
Love this color for interior walls. Can you review SW Morris Room Grey, Requisite and Functional Gray please? Thank you!! 🙏🏻
hi Kyle, I need a white that will do well in a darker room without a lot of natural light. The kitchen cabinets are a light gray and white counter.
Love your detailed videos ! Do you do consultations ? Building a new home with one chance to get it right for the paint to finish the build.
Hi Kylie, what about Greek Villa as primary color with City Loft as an accent wall? I want a subtle accent wall to Greek Villa. Thanks!
Very helpful tutorial. Thanks

These are great colors to check out! Also explore BM Maritime White, SW Natural Linen too!
Will extra white work with city loft? My store didn’t want to sell me HRW..

Everyone always talk about interior n the trim to use what about exterior what white color trim work best with CL ? Thanks
Hiya! The same would apply :)
Hi Kylie! I've been looking to purchase the City Loft SW 7631 color but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Do you happen to know where I can purchase?
Yes I do, you should be able to get it from SAMPLIZE, delivered to your front door tomorrow!
Pretty as usual...
