Yeah, movie started strong with you know... Biting a child's arms clean off then dragging him down into the sewers. Could never top that in really.
I can understand his methods though. He feeds off of fear, so the more scared they get the better they taste which is also why he goes after children more often because it’s easier. He just got too greedy and gave them too much time Before he went to trying to eat them.
Or he could just I don't know bit there arm off and that would give him more fear from just attacking 1 or 3 times
He adopts a similar method when they return as adults. At one point he kills on of them and taunts and terrifies them by using the corpse as a puppet. Which sounds extremely messed up and honestly really was.

You know, one interesting thing about this series is, there are a lot of moments where all these villains can make pretty good friends for each other, you know, for being villains, that is. LOL I notice it the most in this episode, where Joker, Freddy, and Palpatine are advising Pennywise, but mostly Joker. It's kinda like watching that one episode of Batman: The Animated Series, "Almost Got 'Im," where you get to see a bunch of iconic villains just sitting around a table playing cards, shooting the breeze, and sharing stories. Sure, they're giving each other a hard time and all, being villains, but when it comes right down to it, I like seeing all of them be (mostly) supportive friends to each other, it's kinda refreshing, in a weird way. LOL And granted, they're advising Pennywise on how to be a worse villain, but it's the basic concept of them all supporting him that's unique to see in villains, especially these ones, and it's interesting to see such a good quality of friendship coming from them, even if it's not canon. :P I especially enjoy listening to Joker talk to Pennywise and see how invested they get in what each other is saying. They're really listening to each other, asking questions, accepting advice. You don't often see that in these kinds of characters, and that's kinda what makes them a lot more interesting, again, for not being canon. :D And even better, we get a lot of good laughs along the way, and spot on voice acting! They all sound like the real characters! Fun series! :)
I kinda hope the IT Chapter 2 HISHE references this, just so we can see the villains bully Pennywise about being turned into a baby.
