"Sherman, i've got to get you out of here before you touch yourself" deserved a sin off and I will die on this hill
yea
I will stand with you brotha
I’ll be on the hill with you
I am standing with you as well.
i will also die on this hill
In my opinion, this movie is very underrated. Granted, it has two cast members from Modern Family, but it still has Patrick Warburton. So, I still count this as an underrated gem.
I forgot this movie even existed until I saw this video
I agree
What's your beef with Modern Family?
As do I
@@SpeedwagonZaidani think they’re implying that some people might not consider it underrated as it has two cast members of modern family and would therefore be more known. But they still consider it underrated
Forgot this sin:
So the principal takes pictures of Penny's bite marks and sad face, but neglects to take pictures of Sherman's neck, which she nearly strangled, or ask the dozens of witnesses in the lunchroom.
What? The girl is always the victim and boys can never be such. Unless they are trans one direction or the other. Isn't that what all this feminism stuff has been building towards?
That should be included.
Dont expect this channel to actually consider good reasons to sin half the time, it's a 50/50
- _DOWN WITH THE QUEEN!_
- _DOWN WITH THE MONARCH!_
- _Wait! What kind of cake?_
(Punches)
The third peasant gets down with the cake is personal. No wonder why he ordered a knuckle sandwich instead.
Ok,btw I’m pretty sure it’s monarchy
“ *WAIT!* does the queen have that gyatt?”
“Man, shut your bitch a-“
WAIT! Does the queen have that gyatt? (I’m not a 5 year old brainrotten child, I just have a sister who watches a ton of that crap)

This movie takes time travel and just beats it to death. God knows how many paradoxes this dog created just because he wanted to educate his son
In the original series, it is explained that the WABAC is a should-have-been machine that goes to ridiculous cartoonish versions of the past, not the actual past. Peabody programmed a self enforcing safeguard against alteration.
😂😂😂
Lol
womp womp
Because doing time travel with accurate paradoxes would be a giant pain in the ass to write around so they decided not to because its a kids movie and why would you so that in a kids movie. It also adds nothing to the plot.
I love the whole “no I’m extremely poor” bit
Interesting to note: Jay Ward's daughter Tiffany Ward made sure her father's work would be done as closely to the original source material, so she served as consultant to this film.
You know, it's funny how I personally feel that this indeed gets Peabody and Sherman, and at the same time, don't think it's a very good film? Maybe it's because it's better for their handful moments rather than a big theatrical showcase, which they rectified with a better show afterward.
Quiet you (neeerrrrd)!
That was nice. If they had made it 15 years earlier…
She didn't do a very good job consulting, in that case.
I have quite a few sins for you, Jeremy.
1. Sinning this movie.
2. Peabody waited until bedtime to ask Sherman his side because as a dog of high intelligence, he knows better than to ask a child questions when they're still heated, so he gave him time and space to calm down, like the good parent the movie is trying to show Peabody is.
3. There are no security measures on the W.A.B.A.C. because Sherman is a well-behaved kid. Peabody has no reason to not trust Sherman when it comes to the machine.
4. They had multiple people jump out of the horse with only 1 knocking on the door because they are in the middle of a war. Going out to do anything remotely risky (like knocking on your enemy's door) requires backup. They are soldiers. They know that they have to watch each other's backs.
5. Penny was smiling at Sherman when he wiped Tut off the window because Tut creeps her out. That smile is an appreciative one. Also, seeing as Tut is completely fine at the end of the movie, that only makes Sherman an attempted murderer.
6. This might come as a shock, but people know what George Washington looks like. His face is on the American quarter! Did you skip high school history class or something? How have you gone your entire life never seeing a picture or painting of the first president!?
Can't wait to see Birdman's thoughts on this video.
Yes
This might come as a shock, but CinemaSins is a comedy channel and isn't meant to be taken seriously. They intentionally over criticise and nitpick movies, that's their thing.
I don't think they care because this channelmisnt keant to be taken seriously at all
@@szabok1999 hasn't jeremy said at least once he puts genuine opinions in the sins
@@swr.nezumi Not all of them obviously.
15:03 Being foolish enough to believe that Mr. Peabody is dead rather that knowing he will ex machina himself from this, because he is in fact a main character.
The fact that a dog has a human for a child is a great and wonderful story. It's good thing that I was eating macaroni and cheese while watching this reaction with you Tim.
I also happen to be currently eating Mac and cheese.

The disapproving look is cause Sherman is de-nile-ing his feelings.
No sin for the fact that they’re all there in the future but seem unfazed by it and each other?
There wasn't a "Sphinx + sphincter = Sphinxter" joke? I probably shouldn't be disappointed, yet I am.

The cut off when you said pretty woman made me chuckle.
I’m pretty sure that “present day” thing just means the date that the movie came out.
I'm pretty sure you don't understand very basic jokes.
Hiding cake under a skirt was s tier😂😂
No way I got a heart🫡 thx bruh
more like "A" tier amirite *rimshot*
the Mr Peabody Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney, Australia bit got me hahahahahah
Thanks, guys. I had almost forgotten about this movie completely.
Ok, is it just me, or does anyone else understand that "present day," is supposed to mean the point in time that Mr. Peabody & Sherman as characters inhabit when they're not time traveling. With the clues I've been given, I'm inclined to say that point is sometime in the early-mid 2010s.
Whenever you see the movie is Present Time.
@@randallbesch2424 I'm just saying that when Jeremy took Present Day to mean 2024, a lot of the other dates found in the movie stopped making sense with how literally he took Present Day to mean his present.
17:46 Bush didn’t even time travel
He just showed up
I think that might be Bill Clinton
@@TaitLawrence-xl2xbThe demographic that found this movie even remotely watchable would say "nah, Bill Clinton didn't wear stovepipe hats."
Pretty much every time travel movie always mentions how you shouldn't change the past, including this one. Meanwhile, Mr. pissbody casually interferes with multiple historic events and wonders why all that bs falls from the sky later on.
Mr. Pissbody and Shitman
“Don’t tase me bro.” Was probably the funniest part of the movie I feel like it was in the trailer still has me dying 😂

So much nostalgia. 2014 was amazing

Dude how did you not remove a sin for the cake and Beethoven ddr jokes?
5:06 Well, she treated him like a dog, so it’s related.
6:53 Well Sherman and Penny aren’t literal babies, they can be left in a room without supervision
13:40 It’s almost like the Trojan war was discovered to be a real event by archeologists, oh wait
It's so fun to see how dumbdumbs get offended when they sin their beloved movies, completely missing the fact that this is a comedy channel...
15:46 Missed opporunity that you didn't use Archer's "Hey, phrasing !".
6:28 Except, the movie was released in 2014. Which means Sherman is 8 or 9 years old.
Now 10 years
Starting primary school at 8 or 9 years old
That... Was a joke dude...
You actually take CinemaSins seriously?
Almost like it was joke
The movies age
12:33 aren’t you a Star Trek fan? Time travel IS a natural result of fast enough motion
yeah but you usually have to fling yourself around a star or vomit chroniton particles or whatever mcguffin the script calls for
The history teachers should use this movie to make the history class and subject more interesting. More students will learn faster if the subject is interesting.
Funny enough that happened to me
They'd probably pull out their hair by watching the first 10 minutes lmao
If you think this made history interesting, wait until you see Oversimplified History videos.
May I introduce you to the channel Oversimplified on RUclips
lol my 6th grade history teacher actually showed this in class near the end of that year
That Finding Nemo P Sherman joke was *chef kiss*
14:38 Kinda pisses me off that he continued to think that this movie was made in 2024 when it was really released 10 years ago
he didn't "think" that, dude, he's joking. lol. this channel is a joke. 2/3 of the sins are jokes
"Go watch Bluey you monsters" 😂
I forgot all about this movie!! I remember my Grandmother taking me and my older brother to see this movie back in April 2014, and later that year in November 2014, me and my older brother saw it again with our Mom😂😂
° Forgotten Sin: Marie Antrionnette is NEVER recorded as being the "princess" who said, "Let them eat cake," AND it's not CAKE. the food from the quote is BRIOCHE, a fancy bread that included butter & eggs, something not common for the French peasantry.
° You should get your groceries in person. Boxed items are okay to have delivered, but fresh produce & meats should be inspected to get the freshest possible, you don't want damaged dairy containers, & you also don't want to have to pay for cracked eggs.
And she probably never said it anyway.
4:14 We interrupt Mr. Peabody and Sherman to bring you the rivalry between Nate Wright and Gina Hemphill-Toms.
Right xD
Best comment right here
LMAOOO
1:57 I can't tell you how hard I laughed when he said that! I am a hardcore Doctor Who fan! 🤣
you forgot about the fact that they somehow escaped a black hole which only things that can travel over THE SPEED OF LIGHT can escape, but somehow at the end of the movie when sherman and mr peabody are traveling to the future, it shows how fast sherman is going, its not even CLOSE to the speed of light, and this is apparently the fastest they've ever gone-
The rice Krispies joke in the yellow text at the bottom is hilarious (it starts at 7:48)
You never miss an opportunity to make a Doctor Who joke, and yet you still only sin one episode of the show per year, whilst going through every other show that you cover on TVsins episode-by-episode.
The " " was great 😂
6:26 Does this guy think the movie came out today?
Edit: 14:42 Omg he does
He would argue it said present day and he's going with it.
@@randallbesch2424 that would be such a Jeremy thing to do
It took this mf ten years to make a video on this movie since it came out 😭🙏
First of all, we don’t know if the Trojan horse was really a myth or not. Second of all, Marie Antoinette saying “let them eat cake” was (certainly) a myth. You should’ve included that one in the list.
Ooooh I’ve been waiting for this one.
One of my favorite movies from DreamWorks. An underrated movie in my opinion.
Agreed

FR THO I WAS WATCHING HIDEAKI
The Titanic falling at the end raises so many questions. Were the 2k people inside it?
I can already tell th3birdman is gonna have a field day with sin 43
Present day, isn’t whatever day your watching the movie, It’s the day of the movies original release, which was 2014. It makes perfect sense that Sherman would be in elementary school because he would be 8.
Homer Simpson: "Look at that! I'm the first non-Brazilian person to travel backwards through time."
“Stop everything, CinemaSins made a video on my favorite animated movie!”
Every movie is imperfect and therefor sinable.
@@randallbesch2424 True. But one of the main reasons I love it so much is because of that.
“SHERMAN, I GOTTA GET YOU OUT OF HERE BEFORE YOU TOUCH YOURSELF-“ Best fucking line in the movie
I swear they only used the "don't taze me, bro" line in the trailer and in the movie changed it to "take it easy, bro"
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jeremy, buddy. Less than half the people now alive are old enough to know what "above the fold" means.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS! THANK YOU JEREMY!!!!
All the time traveling and bringing everyone from historical events into the present is one massive Timey-Wimey Ball of Mayhem!
Why are you the one teaching me that the Trojan horse was not real
Why are you questioning it that way?
I must get you out of here before you touch yourself is wild LOL
At that age parents and adults told me not to touch myself at that age. It was puzzling to me then.
I want to say that the reason why it say “present day” not give a year is because its supposed to be vague just like how in the hunger games they only vaguely say in the future so that it is always in the future distopion and so that in this movie its always im the present day (also with the newspaper saying 2006 its just impressive that the designers care enough to put that much detail)
If Sherman is 0-1 when Peabody adopts Sherman in 2006 then it's safe to assume the film takes place between 2012-2014 if Sherman is 7.
Present Day covers it all.
Missed Sin:
The plot forgets that there should be another alternate Penny still in Ancient Egypt since the Sherman and Peabody who were supposed to go back and get her merged with their other selves, meaning she was just left there.
OH MY GOD YAAAASSSSSSS cinema sins uploaded, i die!!! Just so cinemasins knows i watch you to sleep and while i sleep and my brother hates me because he hears the dinging all night long (i only watch the animated ones when sleeping so i dont wake up to someone being murdered) but i watch cinemasins 12 hours out of 24 😂😂
I had just rewatched this movie this week and you mentioned a couple of the fallocies id seen as well
He literally admitted, not as a joke, that he believes the Trojan horse isn't real.
It is undetermined at this time,
That newspaper of Peabody adopting Sherman said it was 2006 when it was published, and Sharman is said to be 7 1/2 in the movie, so that means the events of the movie are set in 2013
I just saw this movie as it's free on youtube right now. I saw a very underrated masterpiece
13:00 Is this referencing Peter sinking after being able to walk on the water towards Jesus? Because he didn't start sinking because he was told he couldn't do it. Peter started sinking because he himself started losing faith.
I think this reference works pretty well because Peter loses faith and takes his eyes off of Jesus. When he has faith, he is able to walk on the water, but when he looks away, he is reminded that he should not be able to walk on the water as the fear of the dangerous waters takes over.
Regardless, I appreciate the reference! Didn't expect a video on Peabody and Sherman to reference Matthew 14.
About time they reviewed this underrated gem.
12:16 the answer to the question is 69
I guess I missed something cause my math concluded in this: 53+16 / 20x21 = 69.8
69.8^-5,318,008 = 0

Love how he's 10 YEARS late watching to this underrated movie 😂
The biggest problem with this movie was that it took itself way too seriously. The cartoons it was based on were unapologetically absurd and ridiculous, which was what gave them their charm. If it had just been a series of wacky adventures in different time periods played for pure comedy it would have been fine. But it bogged itself down by adding high stakes and personal drama.
I thought it necessary for it being a movie instead of a 12 minute episode.
@@randallbesch2424 It could have done something like Mel Brooks' History of the World: Part 1. It could have just been a string of comedic skits and adventures spread across different time periods with no need for high-stakes overarching drama.
This movie is so underrated
Outtake for the flying scene: Gilligan, you can't fly, it's impossible! (not sure how many know who Gilligan is nowadays)
i do lol
When Pippi was told that flying on a broom is impossible she simply replied, "I can because I believe I can."
I remember watching this as a kid and really loving it!
its funny that I watched the movie this morning, now its getting sinned
Holy crap, i just noticed Mr. Peabody is voiced by Phill Dunphy!😮

Been waiting for this FOREVER!!! Thank you cinema sins 😊
Since the movie came out in 2014 all the present day things are only relevant to 2014. Making Sherman 8 not 18 and Peabodys accolades 4 years behind.

One of my favourite underrated animated films to exist. Thanks for covering it, this movie needs more recognition it deserves!
It had the opportunity to be seen by everyone and they didn’t go to see it.
This film and Speed Racer had the same problem, they were made too late. The time for a Peabody film was at least 10-15 years before when this film came out.
@@josebrown5961 I saw it with my dad on the 2nd week it came out. Yeah I agree, it was overshadowed by 300: Rise of an Empire and Divergent when it came out.
