- Part 4.
The day‘s travels begin in Røldal with sun on our faces and adventure in our hearts.
Over the stunning Røldalsfjellet Turistveg we discover just how empty Norway can be at 9:30 on a Sunday Morning. Only the sheep to bother us!
We then passed through Odda, rode alongside the Sørfjorden, crossed the Hardangerbrua, saw countless waterfalls on the way to the serpentines of Ulvik, crossed the Sognefjord and met some locals, all before climbing to the top of Gaularfjellet. WHAT a day!!

The country that just keeps on giving! Can't get over how stunning this country is. Simple stunning and that word doesn't do it justice!!!
The commentary is like travelling with the Clangers, it's hilarious 😂 😃 😄
I do what i can to help! 🤣
Andy the editing and quality that has gone into this is amazing, it must have taken so long to pull together. Fantastic work, thanks for sharing!
Thank you kindly Stuart. It's been a busy week!
What a fantastic video. The last 2 minutes or so is worthy of anything on any channel on any platform.
That has to be your best video to date 👏 this tour keeps getting better and better. I can't believe how beautiful Norway is and how lucky you guys got with the weather. Thanks mate 👍
Thank you! We couldn’t believe it, right up i until we were leaving and and i still don’t fully believe it now!! It was the perfect trip.
Sunday afternoon, and I was tired from chores - painting the 89yo house - NZ bungalow, and applying moss remover onto some lower boards prior to painting and the moss on the roof of the garage, maintenance on the two blades on the ride-on mower, resetting the deck level, making teas and toast and sandwiches for two - as you do :), watching some Ukraine videos, 44 Teeth Bavarian rides, and looking for some cruising AMC videos and really enjoyed the view and scenes from 2 weeks ago... Thanks Andy from some down to earth motorcycle riding enjoyment!! Enjoy the banter and the drone vids and the amazing scenes from the 360!! Graeme NZ
Wow, thats a full Sunday morning! Happy to have been able to help round the afternoon out for you Graeme!
It's going to be difficult to find better roads and scenery than this. You've put together a stunner!! ❤📷🏍💕
You’re not wrong there. It seemed like we’d already peaked on the first few days! But watch this space… cheers!! 🙌🏻👍🏻
Just rewatched this for the third time. You've done a superb job of showcasing the incredible scenery in this region Andy. Superbly put together, with a great soundtrack, and fun banter. Helped by stunning weather you were lucky to catch which makes it all look so cinematic. The Oscar for best Motovlog goes to....AndyManCam. 🏆🏆
Thank you, thank you! I‘d like to thank my manager, my lovely wife, the supporting brands and most of all, the viewers! 😘😜
Andy, everyone has been raving about your cinematography. I agree, but the sound tracks you used has put it over the top! Carry On, Well Done!
Thanks very much Janes, the music choice always takes almost as long as the edit! 🤣
It just gets better and better Andy. Magnificent scenery, fabulous roads plus a distinctly Pingu vibe to the intercom conversations. Best touring video I've seen for quite a while...
Thank you most kindly Steve. I can officially retire! 😉 … ok, maybe once the series is finished!
After watching an episode of this series I simply can't wait for the next one to come online.
Thanks very much for saying so! Hope you enjoy the rest of them!
The videography and editing in the videos of this Norway trip is just beautiful Andy 👏
Thank you very much indeed old chap. Very much appreciated. 🙏🏻
Brilliant video, fantastic footage and editing, well done. It’s worthy of at least ten times the views👍🏻
Thank you so much Mr Biggles. If i build it, maybe they will come!
hahaha he reminds me of the teacher in the peanuts. absolutely top stuff
Cheers Michael!
Andy, I don’t mean to gush but I reckon you’ve outdone yourself with this episode, epic! Amazing scenery and brilliant riding, it looked like fun chasing that other CB1000R too👍😁
Gush away Peter! 😚 The chase was an absolute blast! Couldn’t ride like that the whole time though, not with those fuel prices!!
Andy, you’ve got more talent and creativity, then most of us could ever dream. Mate, another incredible episode!! Your content NEVER disappoints. Cinematography, editing, transitions, sound and overall presentation is the absolute BEST 🔝🎥🎬🏔️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
You’re an absolute gent Mike. Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Ausserordentlich stunning.
Unberechenbar beautiful.
Breathtaking, superb video Andy.👏👍
Thanks very much!
I'm doing the Norway trip next year, this has made my mind up. Have been dithering on the costs aspect but fuck it, this is bucket list stuff. Great series of videos
Thanks mate. You really won’t regret it. Easily the most spectacular place I’ve ever been to.
Feel like I've been to Norway now. Great work, Andy! 👍
Cheers Padde, happy to help! Be prepared to have the feeling strengthened as there are 7-9 more days of it to come!!
Roundabout? In a tunnel?! Unbelievable, Jeff!
It was baffling mate! And the fact that they turned it into carved art as well! Inspired!
Simply stunning
Truly. Easily the most stunning place I’ve ridden.
After watching your videos, I'm planning on travelling up Norway mid July cant wait to get amongst those roads, just ben for a long weekend from Mid Cheshire England to Benidorm for some warm weather hill twisties on the Costa Loop
That’s a long weekend trip! Awesome! Happy Norway planning, you’re going to love it!
This trip just keeps getting better and better
Cheers Alan! Hopefully that trend continues!
Lightsaber nippels 🤣
Scared the cat laughing at that.
Such amazing views!
Haha! You’re very welcome!!
bloddy good stuff, 🎉🌟🌟🌟⭐️⭐️
Thanks very much!!
Would have to say that Norway is the most beautiful country you have taken us through Andy, just amazing
I wholeheartedly agree Kahi! Easily the best trip of my life!
I must say, you have really done a good job when planning your trip; you covered many of the great roads here in the western parts of southern Norway. Good to see you got such splendid weather! Not to be taken for granted in this area.
Also, excellent editing - really enjoyed watching! Thanks!! 🏍️🇳🇴👍🏻
Cheers TT, that’s very good to know! I was just making it up a as i went along!!
👍Great, quality production
Cheers TTD!
Thats amazing scenery. Super videos as usual too.
Thank you Mick. The scenery really was amazing and it just didn’t quit!
Absolutely stunning 😍
Truly!! I MUST go back again to check if it was even real!
The weather looks excellent was ok for the whole trip
It was… too Begin with! Took a few dodgy turns, but on the whole can’t complain.
You should get a job for the Norway tourist board, that is absolutely beautiful.
I've always said if I won the euromillions I'd buy a house in Cornwall and one in Scotland, I think you've persuaded me to get 1 in Norway too.
100% stick it on the list Jason! Thanks very much mate, I’ll pass your thoughts on to the Norwegian tourist board!
Wow what scenery
It was simply stunning mate. Almost too beautiful to be real!
Just wow!!
I totally agree Darryl!
Brilliant work again Andy👍👍
Many thanks Ian!
Andy this is just getting better and better, your editing skills are top notch and the choice of sound tracks fits perfectly. What an amazing place, endless beauty 🫶
Thanks Phil. Really appreciate you saying so mate. 🙏🏻
Stunning videography Andy. Next level 👍👍👍
Cheers MM! The subject matter really helps! 😉
@@AndyManCam True. But some skills are hard to learn, especially editing and you nailed it 👍
😚😚
yet again, your camera work is stunning.
Thanks very much David.
Wow Awesome love, Norway
Thanks Mark. You and me both mate!!
"If I wanted to go in a tunnel then I'd go sit in the garage and turn the lights off..." lol. Heading to Norway in August, must remember that when I get to the Laerdal tunnel.
Loving this series, cheers.
I hope it brings a smile to your face just as it gets dark in there! 😂
Incredible, Andy! Truly stunning views, thanks for taking us along.
My pleasure entirely Fred! Thanks for coming and i hope you’re getting by now you’re bike free. 😭
Most excellent.
You do realise that being Star Wars trained I can translate the second person speaking.....
My childhood was not wasted.
Hard to think of another country where everywhere is so stunning.
Good work.
Safe, happy travels 👍
Ha! Hopefully I didn't make too many translational errors! It really is the country that just doesn't seem to be able to miss!
Love it 🔥👏👏👏
Cheers Daniel!
What a great place to go ride🤓👍🏻,big thanks for sharing 😎🏍💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻
Entirely my pleasure John! Thanks again for always coming along!
Just wow, you really know how to make videos dude🤘🏼
What a video, fantastic work
Many thanks Rick!
My gob is smacked. Truly epic scenery, roads & riding. Top stuff, Andy 👍🏻
Thanks very much Stephen. Hopefully i can keep this up for the next 8 episodes! 😉
Have to echo all the positive comments Andy. Fantastic drone footage, onboard and 360 topped off with the perfect music score.. thank you 👍
Cheers very much!! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to top the response to this one!
Just amazing scenery. Blue sky's and sunshine help show Norway at its best.
Totally. The weather was beyond perfect.
beautiful
It really was. And at least twice as beautiful in real life as in the videos!
Just found your channel and am loving the incredible effort you have put into your cinematography and editing. Well done!! Looking forward to your future content.
Thanks Darren and welcome along!!
Fantastic
Cheers JAG!
Nice one Andy. Top stuff
Thanks very much mate!!
Looking forward to this
Another stunning vid, Andy. Many thanks.
Thank you, Jim. Cheers for coming along!
Funny how me and friends look for exotic touring places around Europe, when we have this at our doorstep 😳 It's probably bcs we are so damn used to it.
I totally understand that. But then again, I’ve never lived in the thick of the good riding!
Awesome video Andy 👍
Thanks very much Trev! 🙌🏻
Amazing work well done 👏
Thanks very much Anto!
Wow, that was stunning Andy, really enjoyed that one. Fasty
Thanks Fasty! That was a good day in a run of other incredibly good days! 😍
This is by far the best video you created. Looking forward to Part 5 and hopefully many more.
Thank you Jeroen. Sadly that means the pressure is on for the next one! 😉
amazing views, again. stunning camera work on the bridge. well done Andy.
Cheers again David.
I know this region quite well, and can confirm you picked an excellent route. Feels like a replay of one my rides last year, thank you :)
Thanks, that’s good to know!! 🙌🏻
Totally outstanding Andy really enjoyed watching your adventure.
Thanks very much Billy! Only 9 more days to go… 😉
Stunning...just incredible. Thank you for sharing! And those underground roundabouts- or undergroundabouts, as I like to call them - are really impressive!
Many thanks! You're very welcome!
Andy....this is your best edited video...what an amazing epic background...bucket list for sure. Plus , you had me laughing with the dialog
Thanks Mark. Totally agree mate, needs to be on every bucket list! I’ve got it on mine at least twice!
Stunning. I think you've excelled yourself with these latest vlogs!
Cheers mate! It’s been a real joy to edit!
Absolutely stunning mate, you've outdone yourself with the editing on this one...
Thanks RM! Hopefully lightning can strike twice for the next episode!
Another awesome video Andy… More incredible scenery, brilliantly captured on camera… (And an explanation of the lack of the need for Ian’s ‘support vehicle’ this trip! 👍😎) Keep the videos coming!👍
Thanks Si. Hopefully he won’t need the support vehicle for the next one either!
Still love following you on our roads. Like the way you see it with other eyes the us who live here! Happy riding!
Thanks Knut! My eyes were WIDE open in wonder, the whole time!!
Absolutely blown away by the beauty!
Needs to be on our list.
Uk based so should be doable.👍
Not surprised Barry! And i can assure you that in real life it’s just MORE!
The whole scenery looks almost too good to be real to me. Incredible! I wish I had the time and money for this, but that is the lamest exuse ever, I know... I'm just happy that you got to experience this Andy. Bloody brilliant! Cheers.
Don’t worry Marko, that’s the excuse I’ve used for the last 9 years! Finally the motivation to do it overcame everything else and WOW am i glad it did! Magical experience that i will never regret moving heaven and earth to realise!
Great stuff Andy!
Arco branded boulders...😂 Like that one.
The upside down shot through the tunnel was a nice touch too!
Fantastic roads, weather and scenery, must have been a cracking trip, looking forward to seeing the rest.
Thanks very much Adam. It was easily the best trip of my life so far!
Yes the views are stunning and all, but roundabouts inside a tunnel... how often can you say you've seen that!
Fantastic as always sir! Definitely on the to-do list
I know right! Astonishing that they just thought, let’s carve a UFO style roundabout out of a mountain, that seems reasonable….
Cheers Sam!
That has to be one of the best videos I have every watched. The video editing is top notch, the music was just perfect and the banter was brilliant.
Definitely will be watching this video again. Well done sire, well done
If i could, I’d give you two hearts! Thanks so very much! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@AndyManCam I have watched it twice since. Just amazing
😘😘😘
Those are some mega twisties. Nice adventure you are sharing with us in such a great way with the video work you do. Awesome!
Cheers Scott! It was THE adventure of my riding career so far!
@@AndyManCam As a suggestion for another video with a bit less effort, (and if you haven't done it already or are thinking about it) ... how about a recap video with some stats like what the trip cost, riding time in total, number of miles/kms travelled, etc. and recalling anecdotes you might not have captured fully on video or sharing your overall feelings of having accomplished it and whether you'd do it again, etc. etc. With your humor, oh, sorry, your humour and narrating skills, it would probably a great video too. 😁
Thanks Scott! Yeah that’s already planned. We kept pretty good records of what we spent and I’ve got all the routes saved, so shouldn’t be too difficult.
wow, thank you - i got my Monster out of the garage today - i´m,so happy, can´t wait for the season - i will go to Norway this year, that´s a fact - great editing and fumy as fck - i love this channel thx again Andy
My pleasure! It is an exciting time! Happy season SC!
Brilliant series, very inspiring, your friend on the Kawasaki sounds like Charlie Browns teacher.
Love it.
Thanks! He's desperately in need of a vocal coach!
I thought it was the bike talking to him :)
Haha! That could also be mildly amusing!
this has got to be the best riding this side of heaven....
I reckon you're right there mate!
I recently picked up your interview on the Bikes Burgers Beers podcast. I hope all went well for Iain and that was quite a commitment to jack in your job to go on this trip with Iain. 👍😇
So far so good, with a few major bumps in the road just recently. Fingers crossed he's over the worst and will be abck on the bike soon. I've always worked to live, not lived to work. Much to the chagrin of Mrs Mancam, but hey, life is for living. I'd rather die poor than be a rich slave.
Very nice video 📹 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
What a great video hope to go there myself one year soon i hope but till then your videos will most certanly do great work
Thanks mate! I hope you manage to tick it off the list. It's worth it!
@@AndyManCam not all bad this year got picos and Germany this year 😁
That’s not at all bad! A very good year indeed!
What absolutely incredible scenery… and I’d also like to commend you on the superb camera work and editing… outstanding… Ian’s incisive commentary contributions are a source of great mirth… the gift that keeps on giving!!😂😂😂
I don’t know if you’d planned to but would it be possible to get a rough idea of what the trip cost… I know Norway is going to cost more but it’d be great to get a rough idea…
Either way, your videos are amazing to watch… many thanks for sharing!!! 🤗😁👍👍👍
Thanks very much Adam! I am planning at the end to run through what everything cost. We kept a pretty good record of the budget so i should be able to be pretty accurate. 👍🏻
Excellent video once again Andy! I really can not wait to get away, your videos really do help me out as work drags me down into a deep hole 😂 but my responsibility’s at work and at home need to be fulfilled, making videos and riding is my passion how amazing would it be to do that full time and earn a good living at it. The theme music around 22:00 mins is epic and surprisingly suits the location keep up the good work dude! I can’t speak for everyone but the content is much appreciated 🤘
Thank you so very much. I feel you mate. My work drags me down too and gets in the way of doing what i love. THIS! If only there were an easy way to make this the job eh!?
@@AndyManCam it is possible, i have seen motorcycle RUclipsrs do it one day mate hopefully 🤞😁
Yep. Gotta keep plugging away.
Andy, can you please provide contact details for the weather booking agency that you use!!!!
Brilliant vid 👍
Closely guarded secret mate! Though our budget ran out after this day!! 😂
Just what we need for a Wednesday night 😊
I aim to please!
@@AndyManCam That you do sir that you do 🫡
😚🙌🏻👍🏻
Ok 👍👌 Andy
Ok 👌
Hi Andy, Great series so far. Looking forward to the next episodes. Norway is definitely on my list for the near future. I was wondering... When you record your footage, you have to sync your audio with your cameras. Normally, you do it on the side of the road by clapping (or am I wrong?). But how do you do it on the fly, when you are on the move?
Thanks YG! Yes i do the clapping and often horn beeping at the side of the road. When I’m on the fly, i tend to still do the clapping, but just with my hands closer to the mic and with the visor open, so that the clap is picked up on the audio.
Love the series so far. What would be a nice touch is if you could show us where you're actually riding. Like a map overlay or something.
Thanks! That would be a nice touch. Have to see if there's a quick way to do something.
@@AndyManCam *whispers* if do, lemme know. I tried it a few years back and couldn't find a good solution. 😅
Haha! I’ll see what i can find out.
Great video as always Andy, love the music used. Blessed with great weather! At what point do you stop loving the CB for touring?
Thanks very much BYM! The weather really was a blessing! It didn’t hold throughout, but no regrets! I was already beginning to feel the fatigue at the end of this day and it sadly just got worse!
@@AndyManCam I use my R1200R (with Wunderlich screen) for touring and even though the accessory screen helps its not as good as an adv or purpose designed tourer. I've got a few more miles on my body clock than you and I couldn't tour now on the S1000R I had a few years ago.
Totally get that! I’ve got too many hard miles on my chassis and the KTM is a very welcome break!!
Thanks for posting. Great video. The urge to return is incredible. Would do it differently, if I had the opportunity to go to Norway again. Instead of heading north, I would spend my time in the south. It would make it easier to rent a bike in Germany and ride it into Norway or so I think.
My pleasure! Makes perfect sense. To be honest i was really surprised by how immediately it was all so stunning. We were expecting it to slowly get amazing, but it’s all on the doorstep!
The west coast of southern Norway has a lot of nice roads for motorcycle riding. Yes, the northern parts of Norway are amazing, but I assume a lot of the riders that have North Cape as their main destination will miss out on a lot of great roads and places as they will have to do long and efficient stretches a day within a limited period of time…
@@TheTor_Detours I don't regret doing the northern portion on my original trip. My intent was to say, if a second trip were to take place I would focus on the southern portion. The roads were great in the north. After viewing the videos from Andy, the conclusion would be that there are no bad roads in Norway. Originally, the plan was to rent a bike in Germany to ride all the way north (Norway is an amazingly long country). With our time constraints, it was not a viable option. Renting a motorcycle in Norway also proved a challenge.
I can only agree. We were initially disappointed when we realized that Nordkapp was just too far away. But with what we saw and experienced, we have zero regrets!!
Stunning scenery! What time of year was this trip?
The stunningest! It was middle to end of August Greg. But we were told repeatedly that we were very lucky with the weather. So it’s a bit of a gamble to go at that time!
My God what an unbelievable trip. The views are just unreal. I watch alot of motorcycle content this is my favorite channel.
Thanks James, that’s really very high praise indeed! 🙏🏻
Oh boy....Simply stunning. Do I feel stupid whinging about the 360 footage on the last video now or what? 🙁 (It's much more watchable this time!) Just amazing work, and an amazing film. I hear you on the fuel thing. I got into the habit of filling up in the morning on my first trip to the Pico's as the petrol station was about 250m from my hotel. 👍 The following year, I was very low on fuel on more of a 'proper tour' I rode to my hotel in Dobres. I later realized my error...I checked the satnav...nearest fuel Potes....20kms.....I was heading in the opposite direction ....Riano....nearly 60kms away....where I knew of a fuel station. I decided to 'chance it' Thankfully we made it, no problem. 👍 PS I saw that crash on the Versys..... I have no idea what you did 'wrong' either... sometimes on low tech, heavy bikes, fully loaded, on a good lean angle, you are just asking the bike to do something it was never designed to.
Haha! No need to feel stupid, comments like that are how i know when to dial it back! 💪🏻 I think you could be right about the off. The tyres were ‚old‘ tech aswell and not the best i could have bought. Lessons learned all over!!
I moaned about the 360 on the previous vid (sorry) but can only echo what Paul says.
Again, no worries whatsoever mate! Comments like that help me to keep it all in check!
Man, I've missed out when I rode that fjord on the other side. Towards Odda and Haugesund. I went through the tunnel roundabout but the other way. Need to change my priority for the next trip. Maybe I'll manage to avoid doing 8hr rides across the entire country and get to take such detours.
50/50 chance i suppose! Blind luck that we got the side with those views. My priority will forever now be to enjoy the trip first, cover the distance second. This was by far the best biking experience of my life!
I drove nearly the same route only a wheek after You where in Norway, but I followed a Cold Front with Torrential rain all the way up past the Arctic Circle. Not the same experience... Down to Geiranger and down Trollstigen in fog that was so thick that i could not see the edge markings on the Road...
Sorry to hear, at least you can see what you missed😂 I know how you feel. That’s why I wasn’t missing the trip due to a dick crashing into my Honda.
Oh wow, sorry about that mate. So it looks like we were REALLY lucky! We did get a bit of rain and fog on the Trollstigen, but not enough to spoil the experience thankfully.
Awesome! What month was this trip done?
Thanks Dave! We were there in mid to late August.
Voice on comms unit sounds like Swedish chef from the muppets
Bort bort!
ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz and go !!!!!🎉🎉🎉
