@@MemorySeekers Visited summer 2008. Always been a fan of Henry VIII, my favourite historical character, so it was my first must see, along with the Tower of London. Just walking the streets of London was brilliant. Fabulous!
One of the more personable entries on this topic which can never be told enough. Excellent narration without the usual affectation, pleasant on the ears. Thank you for this very good telling.
We are avid gardeners, but alas, much of America is not. To see Hampton Court come alive like this, not in documentary style but on foot as if we were there, though with documentary quality camera work, is a treat. I would love an entire video on just the gardens, zoomed in and in detail. Keep up the good work!
Wonderful tour of a beautiful palace. I live just up the road and almost all of my school trips were to Hampton Court and I've been back many times since. I have never managed to get in to see those tennis courts. One day haha.
What an amazing place, the workmanship and the art never ceases to amaze me. Compare that to the bland facades on buildings built now. You could spend days there and still miss some of the building and gardens. Thank you once again Simon and Will. I love it when I see you have added a new clip though I often go back through your ever increasing library of amazing visits to places that I would never otherwise visit. Thank you again.
I got to visit here just a few years ago with my mum and son. It was so awesome to walk in. Place where so many historical figures walked. Also the little graffiti marks from 1500 to 1700 is cool.
Best tour of Hampton Court by far. Your shots are lovely and professional, you give just enough detail, and you show us everything, including the various gardens and what their uses were. Thank you for this amazing tour! I hope to go in person myself someday.
Amazing video. Such great palace I didn't know. It's incredible the luxury the kings and queens lived. UK is a live museum, one treasure after other. How much I appreciate this historic tour. Waiting for the next 🤩
It must cost a fortune to maintain England’s castles! Beautiful. I shudder to think of living there during the reign of Henry VIII; what a viper’s nest!
Wow! What a beautiful palace! I love the astronomical clock & the detail work on the ceilings. I must add it to my growing bucket list. As always, many thanks for your videos. I truly look forward to each & every one.
Thanks for the great video. Im from Wash DC but I took my Florida grandson there this past March and I was afraid that we had missed a lot, but based on this video, we didn't miss much which made me happy. It was so lovely to have so much of the gardens to ourselves since we visited during covid on a day with few visitors.
Our pleasure to show you. Glad you have seen it first hand as that is the best way, and with few other visitors even better. We had this luck when visiting the Tower of London with just a couple of hundred others there. It was magical. Thanks for watching our channel.
Oh this is perfect to see today . Here’s somewhere I have wanted to go to since I went with the school, seems like many many moons ago. It looks like it’s reasonably accessible by wheelchair. Thank you very much extremely interesting and clearly explained. Far better than a guide book.
What an exciting place to visit, enjoyed it immensely as I have never been, must mention your photograph is excellent, also the history and events you explain are most interesting, all about his previse wives etc, Thank you.
Wonderful video. It was far too cold to visit the gardens when I was there over 10 years ago. So glad you filmed it. You do a lot of research and have fascinating trivia.
Hugely interesting and educational video!!! I learned a LOT about Hampton Court, one of my favorite places!!! I saw, and enjoyed, so much more than I ever expected!!! Best video of the day! It's early Sunday morning in Auckland City, New Zealand! Thank you so much!!! 💓
I've always wondered if Jane Seymour the actress was a reincarnation of Queen Jane Seymour. After all they're both important individuals and there are a lot of cultural similarities between the British aristocracy and Hollywood. But lately I've been wondering if there was no intermission between these 2 identities because Jane Seymour is a vampire. There was no need to change her name because it's fairly common. Unlike Otto von Bismarck who had to pick up another alias because his name was just like, too unique.
Thanks for this great Video. Being a fan of C. J. Sansom's books about the lawer Matthew Shardlake in the 16th century, your film gave me an illustration to this stories. I didn't imagine that Hampton Court and the gardens are so impressive and beautiful.
I have watched almost every video on Hampton Court. Yours is the best I've seen. You took your time & covered everything. Even the grape vine. I loved it. Thank you again!! It was my single favorite attraction in England - loved it even more than Windsor Castle. Your video was so good that I learned things I’d missed while there in person. So glad William of Orange didn't get the chance to totally change the style of the Palace into the Baroque style. The Tudor aspect is very important
I learnt so much today, thank you! This was a wonderful tour and half an hour well spent. Every time I had a question, you answered it! Like why the kitchens were divided. What a place. And how nice to see a couple of children there, instead of a theme park or nowhere at all. (That makes me sound so old and stuffy!)
@@MemorySeekers it’s always wonderful when I see you on my channel! I was super busy recently, too, so I understand completely. That’s why it was so lovely to watch your video in peace, when I had finally done everything and was in the car (not driving).
Hampton Court lends itself to photography in a way I didn't find in other palaces and great houses in the UK because of the light. It has huge windows. Such an amazing place!
I think I was about 8 when I first visited with the same feeling. Been back many times now, always something different to see that you missed the last. Yet the places remains the same. Amazing.
THIS is my ultimate destination! We are staying on the grounds n the Kings Arms and I will walk every square inch I’m allowed, and will attempt to see every nook I’m not allowed to see but will continue to attempt to access!
As an American, I find British History fascinating. This is an absolutely beautiful castle! It's truly awe inspiring. I'd hate to know the cost of upkeep!

So glad you enjoyed it. Do love a walk around. Always see something new at the Palace, it is so vast but so well looked after.
Visited Hampton a court as an 8year old. Was overawed by the palace. My Father took all my older siblings and I into the old maze. I loved it.
I think I was about 8 when I first visited with the same feeling. Been back many times now, always something different to see that you missed the last. Yet the places remains the same. Amazing.
I hope they never take that place down. That is SUCH a piece of history...ghosts and all🙂🙂🙂🙂
We hope not too!
THIS is my ultimate destination! We are staying on the grounds n the Kings Arms and I will walk every square inch I’m allowed, and will attempt to see every nook I’m not allowed to see but will continue to attempt to access!
😂enjoy the visit! One you won’t forget it’s an incredible palace.
As an American, I find British History fascinating. This is an absolutely beautiful castle! It's truly awe inspiring. I'd hate to know the cost of upkeep!
