This was a good tour that was TOTALLY SPOILED by the woman laughing and gasping at every little thing. She overpowered the tour guide and focused the attention onto herself - to the point that I couldn’t bear to watch the video.
It’s an honor to have a personal nighttime tour of Hampton. Her goofy attitude was embarrassing. I know it was for GMA, but she played the part of stereotypical annoying American to a T.

So much potential for footage. We don’t need to see the people. We know what people look like. Why not take this opportunity to PAN AROUND the room and show us what the building looks like.

I remember as a kid here in England, we would sometimes go on school trips to royal palace's. The palace staff would narrate all the history in a story book way . Gosh it was mesmerising and a little scary. They were very good. I never forget it. Hampton Court Palace is very popular. You see loads of tourist.
I was a choirboy at St Mary’s church in Hampton a mile from the Palace, where Sybil Penne was buried. She lived next door to the church in a house now called “Penn’s Place”. Several children over multiple generations living in that house have reported a woman in grey tucking them into their beds or cots at night. They all said the woman had a kind and benevolent feeling and were not scared by her.
My cousin work in Hampton court repairing the beams and ceilings, he came across these strange balls that when you touched them would turn to dust. So he call the curator and what they were was tennis balls, and the court they were found in was the personal tennis courts of king Henry the eighth, so the tennis balls were touched only by himself.
Visited from Canada in 2016. Incredible castle and grounds. They even have rooms lit entirely by imitation candle light that look as though they really are flickering candles. Really adds to the whole vibe. Amazing furnishings, decor and art. Beautiful rooms. A crown in a glass case that you can see close up is spectacular, imitation or not. I smiled at the opening banquet hall scene. When I was there, a school tour of a class of primary kids were also in that room, quietly listening to the guide as the teacher looked on. They sat on the floor in 2 small circles in grey school uniforms. Guess they'd now likely be in Gr. 6 or 7. How time marches on - just as it did for King Henry and his wives. Hampton Court Palace is a must see on your next trip to England. Enjoy!
I was there in 1999 and spent hours looking around. Just imagine if you could go back in time and met King Henry VIII. He would speak old English and wonder where we were from. He would be amazed at how much the world has changed in 500 years. I would love to go again.

I was one of those children in uniform in the 1950s , before the palace was fully restored , I saw the original tapestries , drapes and bedroom finishes , faded with age but wonderful , only one haunting was mentioned in those days and it was Anne Boleyn, who Henry had beheaded. Who was the second wife of Henry and mother of Queen Elizabeth the 1st.

They're all long past, but it was great to go back to my family's homeland and see so many beautiful and interesting locations.
I admire how this Palaces are still standing for hundred of years the people back then who work hard to build all of the castle that we can still see now is amazing they really work hard.

Can we perhaps have another more slow tour. This is really interesting part of history. The tour guide is a very good narrator and storyteller. The camera panning and zooming is amateurish in some parts. That guy does not have a proper mic. The commenting by the lady in stripes is very annoying

Henry never build Hampton court. It was given to him by Thomas Wolsey as he fell from favour with the king. The haunted gallery is haunted by Henry’s fifth wife begging for his forgiveness. His third wife haunts a staircase that is close to the room where she died and all of the wives after Anne stayed there including Anne Boleyn herself.
Honest question to many Americans... Do you understand that acting like an absolute child not only does not make for good TV, its also utterly disrespectful to many of the places you are, the tour guides, the history of the venue and the viewers. I would rather listen to a million nails going down a chalkboard for 10 hours than listen to 10 seconds of this woman.

You know what this video has just opened up a memory, I went to Hampton court on a school trip, I remember feeling really uneasy, but what I’ve just remembered is I could have sworn I saw a figure standing at one of the windows and had a Tudor headdress on. Then just disappearing. To be honest it could have been my imagination, it’s just a creepy feeling that as children we are much more susceptible to picking up spiritual things, but as an adult you just forget about it. I was about 8-10 years old so around 13 odd years ago.

July of 2013 I was at Hampton Court Palace ,I believe I saw the full body ghost of Ann Boylan with 2 of her lady's in waiting. Ann was wearing a dark red gown I have seen in pictures, She was some distant away from me ,I saw her soo clearly, I was near the wine celler and kitchen standing next to a set of stairs when I looked down the hall and saw her.I was not scared at all .I had too look several times too make sure what I was seeing.

Hampton Court is such an amazing place I have been there and while I was in the gallery iwere Catherine Howard experienced that, I was so dizzy my mom had to sit me down and as we got listening to the tour more They were saying that paramedics always had to be called it seemed because people would get really dizzy and faint in this area of the palace I was fine and all the rest of the palace but in this gallery I was so lightheaded and dizzy to be honest it’s a beautiful gallery but I wanted to get out so bad

Most places that have had a lot of injustice & tragedy take place tend to be haunted. Henry VIII can be easily described as a tyrant who was very unjust, caused a great deal of harm to hundreds of people.

She is a good story teller, nothing spoky at all, the tour was wonderful in a such huge palace....
Hampton Court is such an amazing place I have been there and while I was in the gallery iwere Catherine Howard experienced that, I was so dizzy my mom had to sit me down and as we got listening to the tour more They were saying that paramedics always had to be called it seemed because people would get really dizzy and faint in this area of the palace I was fine and all the rest of the palace but in this gallery I was so lightheaded and dizzy to be honest it’s a beautiful gallery but I wanted to get out so bad

ghosts glide because in their time era the ground was higher so with them being residual hauntings they are still walking on their level. you only have to look at very old steps to see how they wear down

There's a strange sort of moan at 7:33 that repeats itself. I really wish that woman in the ridiculous outfit would be quiet. So annoying and disrespectful.

Fascinating tour! The guide is a superb narrator, and the overall spookiness of the palace is remarkable. I hope we will see more of these!

Most places that have had a lot of injustice & tragedy take place tend to be haunted. Henry VIII can be easily described as a tyrant who was very unjust, caused a great deal of harm to hundreds of people.

That grey Lady Sybil is really scary and I don’t know why she must be. Catherine anguish you and you feel pity for poor Jane, but Sybil had a good life so I don’t know why she is terrifying people.

As soon as they step foot into the haunted gallery, the camera flashes pink for like one frame.
I see I'm not the only one who thinks she looks like Waldo.... her choice in clothing takes away from the beauty of the room she is in by making herself be a distraction. She should have warn no hat and an understated neutral color tshirt or blouse in a solid color.

Couldn’t make it five minutes in, the girl with the goofy red & white was too annoying.
The differences between both the British demeanour and American demeanour are very present here.

The audio is pretty bad
Seriously got a good laugh between that place having some squeaky doorknobs ( 6:28 you can hear someone off camera turning a doorknob) and when the camera man exhales to close to the cameras mic at the 9:00- 9:02 and 9:10 - 9:11 mark. Not going to lie I like that old Architecture it is really pretty.
