In July 2017 I was at Hampton Court and walked up and back through the gallery down which Catherine Howard ran. While walking back towards the chapel and two-thirds of the way down I suddenly had a sensation of someone putting their hands on my shoulders and pulling me back. It was very strange.
I hope it was a good ghost who pulled you back for your own safety. It sounds you weren't further harmed. You were only pulled back and no more. He might have saved you from walking into any evil spirit.
Been on two night ghost tours as fortunate to live up the road from the Palace. Each time I've experienced something paranormal first time 3 years ago in fact David was the one who took us round.... in The Procession Gallery where I saw a lady in long dress in the corner and no one else did and tonight 3 Feb 2018 after the tour sitting in the Great Hall someone whispered into my war felt the hot breath . Also saw a cowled monk in black. Been going to this palace for over 50 years it has the most incredible feel. I love it
Hello! Can you please tell me what you exactly experienced? Like can you please describe it all properly? I am really interested to know what happened!! You're really lucky that you live there...
On april 29th 2014 I visited hampton court when I came to the haunted gallery I saw a shadow where a lady was passing but I checked and I saw no one there so I actually think there is a ghost
They have a simulated moving shadow there as a fun way to create a spooky atmosphere but it's just projected. But who knows, maybe there is a ghost and maybe the shadow you saw wasn't the simulated one :)
i hope i don't come to the haunted gallery if i visit hampton court palace when i'm an adult but sadly its corona so i can't but thank god i don't need to see creepy ghosts
I'm from the USA and I LOVE English/UK history! The historical places in the UK are endless and I love it :) (don't get me wrong I still love my country!)
Well I can certainly attest that once the shadows lengthen and the visitors are gone, Hampton Court can become extremely spooky! Back in the late fifties, from the age of three or four until I was in my twenties I was regularly in and out of the palace, night and day. I went to school there, I was responsible for giving lifts to one of the elderly Grace and Favour ladies and because my father did a lot of work in the palace, we were close friends with the then Palace Superintendent. And I was one of those who saw Sybil Penn one night, on the corner of Tennis Court Lane. I was doing 'last night rounds' with Eric (the Palace Superintendent) and because he was always so caring towards the old ladies, I pointed her out to him, supposing she was one of his charges. He just chuckled and said, "No dear, that's not one of my ladies, that's Mrs. Penn; ignore her." I also got caught one night in Fountain Court, coming back from Lady Ironside's apartment, when a fuse blew and all the lights went out - and I have to say I was scared out of my wits! I've never run so fast in my life!
In 2008, I visited Hampton Court Palace and heard a ghostly moan in an empty room that I believe is in the Georgian section of the palace. At the time I heard the moan, It didn't occur to me that the noise may have been a ghost. I remember looking around the room to see where the noise may have come from but couldn't find anything that could have produced that sound. After visiting the haunted gallery, I began thinking that the sound may have been a ghost.
More like ghost of kathrine howard because it says her ghost haunts that hampton court gallery, that gallery was where the guards held her back when she was trying to speak to Henry
I went on a school trip when i was a child to hampton court palace and there was a dungeon in the grounds and a man who was the caretaker who opened the door and some people went inside to look in the dungeon. And after the man closed the door me and all of the children there saw 2 glowing red eyes in the window of the dungeon door which moved back and forth. I asked the caretaker is there a light in the dungeon and he said there are no lights in there.
In the doorway it looked like a woman, so vivid you can see the detailed shape of the dress and the way the hair is fashioned. I watched it like four times it's so vivid. I would love to see the ghost tours.
Stephen Hawkings theorized that we emit kinetic energy that never dies and that somehow this energy can become a visual image of someone who died long ago.Maybe it also becomes audio which explains the screams heard.I hope that Katherines kinetic energy is responsible for the haunting and her soul went to wherever we go to that is a good place to be.I hate to think of her spending eternity being terrified.
I'd sooner believe the ghosts were demons trying to give people the impression that there is no heaven/peace after death by pretending to be well known tragic figures than the baseless kinetic energy nonsense he tried to scientifically justify that which defies science for his own security since if he could not materialistically explain something he couldn't stand it. Either way there's no way dead people are actually withheld from moving on, particularly for someone so wrongfully killed as Catharine Howard.
I remember going to Hampton Court Palace about a year ago and recall smelling rose petals and lavender, although I'm not sure if they do it purposely to lead people on to believe that ghosts still wander the Palace.
I visited this palace last summer and I didn’t feel anything at the said haunted hallway because it was busy. However, when I passed by the stairs going up to Jane Seymour’s room I felt a sense of dread. It gave me the chills. I think they closed this area because it’ll be the most haunted place. The Baroque style apartments had the most hauntings for me. I felt someone was walking behind me. The white dresses on display didn’t help either. It smelled like perfume and flowers in some of the rooms. Even though no one was there or no flowers on display. One of the rooms, I swear I can’t breathe at all. Like someone was chocking me. I was glad to see a stairs leading outside the palace. This palace is definitely haunted because of the history of it.
We were able to tour the Palace some years ago. Although it was mid-afternoon, there is a strange feeling there. Most museums and palaces are interesting but Hampton Court and the Tower of London seemed different.
I would love to go here but it would be rather chilling knowing that Jane Seymour Anne Boleyn and the Young Katherine Howard once walked among those halls
Excellent visuals and atmosphere. Great stories told well. This short video is more satisfying than most of the stuff I saw on The History Channel. Especially the bit about a ghost's captured image on the closed circuit TV. I'd love more videos like this!
Yes she died its said and described if you see a lad holding a candle in a long white gown that's Jane. All three haunt that Jane on the other hand is sad she wants to find her son Edward. Cathrjne parrs ghost is in sudley Castle where she gave brat to her daughter Mary with her husband thomas seymour, what would like to see is thomas seymlur and kathrine parrs ghost linked arms trying to find their daughter Mary, because both deid when their daughter was young, cathrine snake as her sister in law and thkmas was beheaded

Its Amazing. In 1974 as a child I visited Hampton Court and the most strangest experiance, I saw all these people walking about in out of date cloths on. Flared trousers, platform boots and many of the blokes had long hair.
I went there for the first time yesterday. Although nothing happened, it was certainly a very creepy place to be. There was something about it, something in the air that just seemed out of place.
What a grand video!! David is wonderful and so is the palace! Kate Adams directed me to this via her recent newsletter to us, for which I am glad indeed...
I was fortunate to go to England and also visit Hampton Court Palace.. I will have to say that I believe the place is haunted, I did have an experience although it wasn’t Spectre. A friend and myself had to leave the tour to catch a bus and got turned around in the palace. We were standing midway on the staircase trying to side which way to go and said how do we get out of here and the door to the grounds opened up m. She looked at me and I looked at her then we ran out the door and said thank you very much. Those doors do not have motion detectors. I don’t think Henry open the door but someone did. Spooky
Me and my family went yesterday courtesy of Tesco's clubcard bost and it felt eerie, cold dark and damp and im not a believer of Ghosts etc. Something i will never forget and wont be going back there in a hurry. It def must be worse at night imo.
@ladydigger Maybe your Dad might have heard the Ghost of Katherine Howard - Henry VIII's fifth wife. She screamed in the Long Gallery one the day she was arrested for treason. She's a regular ghost in Hampton Court and in June, she is joined by the ghost of Anne Bolyen who happens to be her cousin.
Once at the Tower of London I asked one of the Yeoman Warders who lived there if he'd ever seen anything scary. He said yes, every morning when he woke up next to his wife. I've been to Hampton Court numerous times and on one visit it was almost deserted so I got to walk the Haunted Gallery alone, up and down it several times. The space definitely has a very creepy vibe but unfortunately I didn't see or hear anything. Would love to be allowed to wander around there at night.
I am a psychic and I know Catherine Howard’s ghost still runs down that corridor in a green dress trying to get to Henry and being grabbed by 2 guards by some large doors. Her spirit is not at peace and she does not understand why what happened to her happened. I do say prayers periodically for the peaceful repose of her soul. I visited Hampton Court many times when I was younger. I am also told by the other side that Hampton Court was a place of many whispers and much intrique. The Maze is (or was) my favorite part, 👻😊
A few days ago i attened a ghost tour here, very atmospheric and well presented.I didnt personally see anything, but its good for tourism. They lead you round in twilight,we stood outside the fire-doors,allegedly opened by the ghost in 2003,and at the app moment,a member of staff flung them open. You can imagine how some people reacted.Iam open-minded about ghosts, but wasnt convinced.Worth a trip though.
Maybe next year we'll rent a room in the palace and have some experiences for ourselves. It must be an amazing place to work/live - much like the Tower.
I have visited Hampton Court on and off for 11 years and in 2014 saw the grey lady. She appeared by coming through a closed door then proceeded to walk towards the river where she vanished into a flash of light.
It looked like she saw me as she came through the closed door. There was no noise and it was eerily clam given that it was Easter time and the palace was celebrating the 300th anniversary of George I's accession to the British throne. There was no wind and only the warders about but they were nowhere near the apartments that the grey lady came out of. The ones by the main entrance gate.
I went here for my honeymoon back in 2002! I just found some pics in my closet last night. You must visit the TOWER OF LONDON before you die. This was my favourite attraction. My last name is Tuter, but people think it's Tudor. I believe Ghost Adventures said this place (it looks like row apartments) with guards outside is the MOST HAUNTED ATTRACTION IN LONDON! I have pics of the Traitors' Gate, Bloody Tower, and 2 other towers that I can't make out (I need a magnifying glass). I also love climbing up stairs-I think climbing churches is the best. Don't forget to Crypts too! I also CONFIRMED something I always asked my parents about since I was 6. Even on my dad's deathbed, I always FELT that he had Irish blood. He said NO along with other family members. So, I got one of those DNA tests to see what it finds regarding my heritage (you should ALL take that test-just for kicks) and I nearly FAINTED at the results! I thought I was half Filipina and half Caucasian. Ummm, I was 49.5% Filipina, Indonesian, Malay, 25.3% Irish, Scottish, Welsh, 23% Scandinavian and 2.2% Mesoamerican, Endean. Hold on-gotta check and don't want to lose my comment....
Iam filipina but since i was little ive been so drawn to english history and nobody inteoduced it to me, I just learn to love it on my own. I always felt i dont belong here in my country now.... there is a something inside me that misses the english lands.
It always seems that those who don't believe are so dismissive of those of us who do! Almost like we're slightly mad for having such beliefs! It's an unknown quantity, pretty much like god.One can't prove the existence of god & in the same vein no-one has ever definitively proven the existence of ghosts, unless someone can prove otherwise. Surely it's a matter of personal belief! Oh,& I want Mr Packer's job! What a lucky man. HCP is on my list of 'things to do'.
I’m very passionate about paranormal and ghosts and haunted haunted houses 🏠 and places around around the world 🌎 I’ve believed in ghosts for over 40 years now 4:04pm
@Bungle2010 , You make a valid point.I am actually a 'reformed catholic' and spent much of my early years following blindly the doctrine of that particular faith. We believed 'cause we were basically told that to not believe was a heinous sin.To even think about such things as 'ghosts' was anathema.I've experienced a number of inexplicable events throughout my life and, perhaps oddly, find it easier to accept these events than the existence of god! Maybe I am,indeed, immoral.
I finally went this year, January 4, 2017. It was indeed fabulous to to be in the same place where all the history occurred. Additionally, Anthony Trollope set The Three Clerks along the nearby Surbinton stretch of the Thames. Easy to get here from London by train.
@AnneARcTiCa I'm from the US as well and I studied/interned in England (London) for the summer! It's absolutely amazing and if you're into history the possibilities and things to do are endless! Best time of my life :)
This is creepy ! I was once in. Castle in Scotland, fraser castle and i cannot explain something that happened. I went into a childs bedroom and i felt really uneasy !! It was like something in there didn’t want me there. I asked my friend if he would stay in here for a night and immediately he said lets get out of here i don’t feel good! He felt unwanted too! It was ver strange! Later i saw a ghost show on TV and they went in that exact room and the got wild electromagnetic readings and a medium said there was a very angry spirit in there! 😖
I remember seeing the ghost knock the doors open on TV when I lived back in PA. It has since been dismissed as someone dressed up but I can't remember exactly what the event was. It sure had us all abuzz when we first saw it.
Unfortunately, no. Not that I remember anyway, it was soooo long ago, lol. I have always loved medieval history, and I can't remember what got me hooked, but I have learned all that I can about English history on my own. It's so fascinating, unlike American history lol :( We barely have a history
OrganicTory yes the part where they have the video footage were his apartments and where he hid just before he died after falling out with the egomaniac Henry Vlll, Anne Boleyn used these apartments too
At 5:38 minutes into the video the figure is wearing tudor style clothes and I can see the tiles where she is standing including the neckruff of the first Elizabethan era .
That ghost didn't know he was on camera, to me it looks so solid so everyone thinks it's a hoax, most times ghosts are caught on video or camera mid morph, it's very rare to catch one fully formed, the one that made me a believer and to this day it's the #1 capture is shadow dude of ghosts of Carmel, Maine. Kent the owner thought it was a guy that broke into his house, fully formed.
I do get ghost as a medium. I'm not a working medium as it's not my choice. But I felt energy so heavy I never saw anything but the tour gave me chills and I wanted out. I felt okay when we left within 2 hours. I felt ill. Some people don't have those abilities. I again I hate it. It's been used to make positive messages in my past. But get out.. I just wanted to enjoy history.
Be it hoax or real, one of the coolest things ever, is the Hampton Court ghost... nicknamed, Skeletor. Of note, as he mentioned, is the way the two doors both fly open.... with no hands touching them.... and then a figure appears to close them.
Regardless of what you believe though, the palace takes on a very different form at night and even if people think the stories are all rubbish, they are fun stories to tell. Yes, a lot of propaganda is involved but it is something that appeals to visitors and, if any of you have ever been on a ghost tour there, you will be entertained. I respect everyone's opinion on such debated topics but personally I know what I've sensed and its generally easy to judge what is and isn't real. Cont debate hah
+Llnares Altieri Paluzzi Crues Barranco I am related to The Howard Family, The Carey and Boleyn and Seymore Family. Mistress Mary Boleyn is my 11 Great Grandmother...

Could be. But I have seen some of these when they were Family members and nothing happened but most times they do though. Hope you all the bast in what ever you do :)
I wouldn't be able to sleep if I go there. There's another haunted place where reportedly the ghost of Anne Boleyn would be there holding her head as she walks and it's the same place where a ghost of a lion or a bear can be seen.
@ladydigger The haunted gallery is on the ground fllor. It's kind of a long walkway. The Royal chapel sits in the middle of it. Thats the so called haunted gallery
@ladydigger Wow what an amazing job!! What have you dug up? Ibelieve without a doubt! I had a very good experience with my Grandad it was quite amazing.
So the fire door cctv video is adamently someone dressed in a costume closing them, but the paranormal aspect was it opening with no one visible in any other cctv footage?

Guadalupe Hernandez they’re fantastic, the Tower of London is a must see too!
The show the Tudors have very little to do with actual Tudor history. I thought it to be a travesty.
@@ingriddubbel8468 so it was but if you know the true history it was fun . The worst part was making Henry handsome to the end!
"Bloated and impotent" ... I wouldn't be throwing those words around so casually in Henry's palace if I were there 😏
That dude was evil and crazy. He went straight to hell
@@adventureswithcrystal yes, he was. Probably due to brain damage after a jousting accident. His personality changed dramatically.
@@lorihogue5015 he was nasty before that look how he treated Katherine of Aragon and Mary their daughter , and dare I mention Wolsey !
my uncle is in the company historic royal palaces its really cool
yesterday I went Hampton court for my school trip
Jon hannaby ...soooooooo lucky !!!!!
Say hi to me if you go again!
Zoe Murphy good enough!
@@katherinehoward8329 I went and heard something in the haunted gallery and I cried a bit
What was your experience there dearie any paranormal experiences I mean were you alone or not ect please
Some day I will visit Hampton Court Palace! And when I do, I hope I will be able to go on a ghost tour, as I do love hearing the stories!
I love stories like this, especially when told by the people who work there every day.
Me too because they are guides who are experts n knowledgeable about this kind of thing
Awesome video, the guy narrating did a good job, not overdone and engaging. I will be Googling Hampton Court now to read up on it.
I wonder if you can take a nighttime ghost tour of Hampton Court
Rachel Lesch you can between December and March each year
the 2003 cctv camera footage of a robed figure opening and closing the doors is good...I saw this first in our newspaper back then
God I LOVE England! My lionheart. From New Zealand 🇳🇿❤
I would go there at the drop of a hat, but without money, im grounded!!! Happy, am just grounded
Now that WOULD be a Dream come true....wow if those walls could talk....
Maybe next year we'll rent a room in the palace and have some experiences for ourselves. It must be an amazing place to work/live - much like the Tower.
So I’m interested... tell me your Hampton court ghost stories guys I wanna know
I have visited Hampton Court on and off for 11 years and in 2014 saw the grey lady. She appeared by coming through a closed door then proceeded to walk towards the river where she vanished into a flash of light.
Did she see you? Was there any noise? It is perhaps a portal. I went to Hampton Court in 1999 and would love to go again.
Howard and Boleyn seem to have followed your directions of seeing the tower before dying.
Iam filipina but since i was little ive been so drawn to english history and nobody inteoduced it to me, I just learn to love it on my own. I always felt i dont belong here in my country now.... there is a something inside me that misses the english lands.
That is awesome. I bet you are a beauty!! That really is amazing you knew that you were Irish.
Brilliant video interesting and informative your uncle has an lnteresting Job at t'he palace
When I was in the famous.long hallway I felt the back of my beck being tickled.
I’m very passionate about paranormal and ghosts and haunted haunted houses 🏠 and places around around the world 🌎 I’ve believed in ghosts for over 40 years now 4:04pm
@Bungle2010 ,
You make a valid point.I am actually a 'reformed catholic' and spent much of my early years following blindly the doctrine of that particular faith.
Very interesting thanks for sharing :)
"Her date with the headsmens axe"
👌
I can tell you now those ghosts are around during day when the visitors are there ,they very much there.😱
That was awesome...Kudos to you...You should have you're own show...I'd watch it...
Been to Hampton court 3 timed,i never get tired of seeing it😊
I Have Never Seen A More Frightening, Haunting Experience In My Life
I finally went this year, January 4, 2017. It was indeed fabulous to to be in the same place where all the history occurred. Additionally, Anthony Trollope set The Three Clerks along the nearby Surbinton stretch of the Thames. Easy to get here from London by train.
beautiful woman with a beautiful smile i love your post how are you doing how is the weather over there right now
hearing these stories made me remember my own
Wouldn’t it be awesome to be at Hampton Court at night time?!?! I’d be in love!!!!
Oh my goodness! I've gotten chills!
I have a newspaper about 2003 that shows a ghost opened the door! I’m wondering where did, I put?
One of the places we didn't get to visit while our stay in London.
i went there yesterday. didnt feel anything, but it WAS the middle of the day :) i still believe.
Unfortunately, no. Not that I remember anyway, it was soooo long ago, lol. I have always loved medieval history, and I can't remember what got me hooked, but I have learned all that I can about English history on my own. It's so fascinating, unlike American history lol :( We barely have a history
Brilliant! Thank you....
Damn I just got creep out. Hang on I am checking my delta app for my next trip is London.
Wonderful! Are there any reported sightings of Cardinal Wolsey at the Court?
I have to go there , and to Hever Castle 😍🇬🇧👑
I can’t believe I went there and walked in the same hallway and stairs
apparently someone saw him at Hampton Court in the 1970s or 1960s, can't remember which decade or the exact year
Saw who?
That's a really well made video
I wonder how these Ghost would react if an Ancestor visited these Palace's?
+Llnares Altieri Paluzzi Crues Barranco I am related to The Howard Family, The Carey and Boleyn and Seymore Family. Mistress Mary Boleyn is my 11 Great Grandmother...
And this means????
I was thinking about Visiting these Palaces.. Anne Boleyn is my 11th great Grand aunt,Mistress Mary Boleyn in my 11th great Grandmother.. i was thinking about Visiting these Palaces.. i just wonder if there would be more activity of there is a direct Ancestor in the Palace?
Could be. But I have seen some of these when they were Family members and nothing happened but most times they do though. Hope you all the bast in what ever you do :)
You mean if a -descendant- visited the palace, not an ancestor right..?
this is a cool channel
I wouldn't be able to sleep if I go there. There's another haunted place where reportedly the ghost of Anne Boleyn would be there holding her head as she walks and it's the same place where a ghost of a lion or a bear can be seen.
Blickling Hall, I think you're talking about. I live near it.
@@electrathejelliclekitten8063 Is it as haunted as I described it?
lol that's awesome, I wouldn't even care! I looove to be scared
Been there, felt despair, and smelled roses
His voice is very soothing
@ladydigger The haunted gallery is on the ground fllor. It's kind of a long walkway. The Royal chapel sits in the middle of it. Thats the so called haunted gallery
@ladydigger Wow what an amazing job!! What have you dug up? Ibelieve without a doubt! I had a very good experience with my Grandad it was quite amazing.
I want to go so badddddd! So interesting!
@ladydigger Hmmm the long gallery you refer to sounds like the haunted gallary. Do you mean the walkway leading to the chapel?
Wonderful doco
So the fire door cctv video is adamently someone dressed in a costume closing them, but the paranormal aspect was it opening with no one visible in any other cctv footage?
Nice. I thought you might be near the palace!!!
Anyone else here because of SIX The Musical? I heard about Katherine Howard and people hearing her screams during Hampton Court visits and it's sparked my interest
I'm probably never going to work there!
+Kat TheFanEnthusiast i would love to work there..i love anything supernatural.
