Anthony has been a sensation on Tik Tok, one of his most well known was Golden Hour. Voiceplay did a version of it with Anthony. Layne's arrangement, so you never know what you are going to see. It is one of my favorites, although it comes with a caveat. It is weird, sweet, and romantic. Trust me, you'll love it.
Also, the one they are about to drop is also Layne. Be prepared.

In fact there's a video with all their performances on The Masked Singer including the reveal then they do creep without their costumes

Absolutely right. Can't go wrong with any VoicePlay song. Their new one (out yesterday or today) is hilarious, a mash-up of classical music, follow-up to In the Hall of the Mountain King.
The music at the credits is often from their karaoke track they release to Patrons. As if anyone could really hang with their arrangements. 😂

You absolutely must hear Pau from the Warning sing this song. Just a girl and her Piano. It's the most emotional cover of this song that I have ever heard.❤ Let the video play until the end for the Easter egg Pau gives us. ❤❤❤❤❤

This one was different as Eli (bald high tenor) did the arrangement and editing as well as the lighting effects so it was pretty much all Eli here ( usually Geoff or Layne take turns doing the arrangements and editing while Eli does lighting and technical effects). If you are doing "Black Hole Sun" that is also one of the cover's Eli arranged and edited as well as lighting and technical effects (with Layne's assistance).

Just like you also , i was raised on these songs in my early adulthood , but i think Voiceplay makes them better. Thank you for choosing this diamond .. I almost always listen to your reactions alone in my apt , so that i can sing along ... and let the tears fall. These guys are so good at knowing the emotions we seek , and then demanding that we feel more than we expect. And with all that .... i am not complaining at all. Dear Mrs. Realistic, I find your analysis good, illuminating, and closely agreeing with mine. I'm well over 50, but I try to follow the zeitgeist closely, and I find very few problems with any of it. Call me a boomer, but I'd like to think of myself a modern boomer.
Yup...I love the actual documentary Zeitgeist on RUclips from about 13 years ago.
This one definitely doesn't come across the same as the original, but it isn't _meant_ to, and the intensity of the emotions they all project is absolutely stunning. Having each of them confront himself in the mirror as they sang was a stroke of genius on Eli's part.
Say it Garjoola. It's an Italian name and in Italian the I changes the G to a J sound. Might help you remember. :) Anthony's voice i this gives me chills. Geoff has been working hard to get that perfect body he wants (check out his Don't Mess Around With Jim) and personally I think he has a perfect soul. But he has so many other talents shouldn't he be satisfied already? No outro on this one.
That and then we get Eli with basically a 'cry to be seen' to be noticed. It is as if each of them are portraying a different form of insecurity. I especially admire Layne's look of pure despondence while hitting the beats as the camera pans past him.

Great voices that totally miss the point of the song.. This is supposed to be an autobiography of someone who is socially uncomfortable in their own existence and is justifying their own retreat from society (Yorke does a great job selling it, he could very well been the creep he was singing about..eeewww). The confident voices of Coldplay dont really give that feeling...

@@MrsRealistic Yes VoicePlay, my bad.. They are really talented but some songs are not about the singing talent
@@darikmatters8866 And I would say they improved the song. I was mid-30s when it came out and while I really enjoyed the instrumental part the singer's lyrics were way too stalkerish for my comfort. I considered it a darn good thing that 'she' was able to run and get away. VoicePlay has made this more about the 'everyMan' - how each of us feels insecure. I especially love the way that after what holds the place of the instrumental part (the group singing all together) that they then wind down back into just a single singer - almost emotionally drained.
Your reaction was fine, but this was just the wrong style for this song. I have the same issue with Pentatonix's version; to me, this song just doesn't work with more than one vocalist. Pau (The Warning) and Haley Reinhart/Post Modern Jukebox are still my two favorite versions of this.
Great cover, but sorry, nothing beats Radiohead's rendition as it fails to encapsulate the 'obsessive' lyrics and loses the meaning of the song.
Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the original...Radiohead is an entire experience
And for me that is exactly why I prefer VP’s cover. I highly disliked that obsessive stalker vibe of the original. It VoicePlay has given us a more introspective cover that seems to be more about insecurities - from Cesar’s beginning thru Anthony’s angst into Geoff seeming comment on body image and into Eli’s scream to be seen! VP is playing ‘Everyman’ instead of Stalker and I find that much more relatable.
