Lol, Mitch’s dad tells a funny story about when Mitch finally did get home…Mitch said he was moving to LA. His dad was not surprised, but thought he meant at some point in the future. Telling him that he thought that was a good idea, he asked when? Mitch’s one word reply…Monday….
I always love seeing the sheer joy in the group of yellow-tshirted family members. Their love and support had been so vital to these 5 young people, and they were there for the culmination of that hard work.
I have enjoyed taking this Pentatonix "The Sing-Off" journey with you. Thank you very much for all of it. I found it so cute that Kirstie and Mitch were holding hands while waiting for the results. They had been friends for half of their lives at that point (at 19 years old).
And we've come full circle. Great job, thank you! A fun, educational journey. Now look how far they've come in thirteen years, and all the beautiful music they've gifted us.....can't wait to see what the future holds!
@@megjones7860 *MEG!!!* 👋 Good to see you, too! I still try to follow what I can, when I can, depending on what device I have access to and availability! I'll keep an eye open for you 👀!
#Pentatonix #SingOffFinale #SaeedReacts 3 nineteen year olds lead a freshly formed group to become the premier standard in modern a'capella...so well done and well deserved... Yes Mitch was freaking out.. watching his chest pump for breath was crazy... Thank you Saeed for bring back these memories of their journey... 🌿🌿🌿
The second place finishers were the Dartmouth Aires (from Dartmouth College, a private university in New Hampshire). I think they have 16 members in their group. Season 3 had 16 groups competing. PTX was one of 4 with only 5 members. Everyone else had 8 to 16 members.
I don’t know how they could even sing after that loooooooooong wait and the adrenaline and nerve rush of the outcome. Maybe the label dropping them was a good thing as maybe it strengthened their resolve to succeed, made them (somehow) work even harder, forced them to broaden their creativity… Thankfully, it didn’t deter them, and we now have the joy of continuing to watch them succeed, work hard and create. 💜
At least when Sony did come crawling back to offer them a deal a couple years later, they were in a much better position to negotiate a favorable contract!
It was great watching this with you. They really did drag out naming the winner, and that background music was so intense. I felt a little sorry for them having to sing at the end, they were soooo exausted and emotional. Some PTX fans (not including me) watched all of the Dartmouth Aires and Urban Legend clips, just to see who they were up against. The show lasted 2 more seasons. The following season is the one where Home Free won, and some of their performances were really good. I agree with those who suggested that you watch the shows where PTX came back as guests. In one they sang "I Need Your Love", and the other was a Christmas Medley. Please react to those, too, and to the Superfruit video where Mitch & Scott go back and comment on their Sing Off performances. It's really funny.
If I’d been one of the two remaining groups, I would have strangled Nick for drawing it out so much! Or I would probably have fainted. I wonder if Kirsten’s hand hurt from Mitch holding it so tight lol. Have a wonderful vacation. Looking forward to more PTX, Superfruit, and solo reactions
Those annoying commercials are one of the reasons so many have turned to streaming for their TV watching. In the US and Canada streaming also means a much better watching choice...more movies and shows that we get to choose from. Streaming also means a much wider variety of movies and shows from other countries, not just US or Canadian produced shows.
Dartmouth Aires was the runner up group in Season 3. They were good but PTX was the better group. Innovative and creatively 10 steps ahead of everyone else. No question about it but I remember the tension.
The one thing I can say is ptx never once in the whole season hit bottom 2. I watched this show in real time and voted. I always love reliving this journey. Thanks for the reactions 🙏🏾
I actually feel sorry for Nick Lachey. You know he was told exactly how long to stretch things out. That's not easy to do! I feel bad for the Aires too--though they must have known for a long time that PTX was unbeatable. In a practical sense, there's no point to awarding a recording contract to a college group--most of them probably graduated and began their careers, and the group would have a brand new lineup at the start of the next academic year.
I kinda felt sorry for Nick. You gotta know he had no control over 'drawing it out.' the producers behind the scenes are watching their clocks. Show like this have certain times for each segments. (BTW. most US shows are timed and edited to come in at about 43 minutes, giving the networks 17 minutes of advertising space. How expensive those ad slots are is what helps pay for the shows. The more popular a show, the more it can demand per ad slot. Ads during the Super Bowl in 2023 and 2024 cost $7 million per 30 second slot!) Anyway, yeah, poor Nick had not control over how long he had to wait to announce the winner.
Poor kids! Mitch looks like he's about to faint, and Kirstie looks like she's about to cry! I'm feeling tense just watching, and I've known the results since the night I watched it on TV!! (And I really dislike that tension-building music....) And I don't think Nick had any idea how prophetic his statement was about PTX going on to great things!!

Oh wow! Thanks for sharing!
He did not wait 😄
The anxiety is palpable. Mitch and Kirstie looked like they were going to cry.
Both were, they look that they could faint, or really break down
I wouldnt be able to breathe!
@@SaeedReacts. Well Kristie was almost crying and Mitch look like he was going to pass out
I think one of my favorite things is you could see one of the Dartmouth Aires jump up in the air for joy when Pentatonix was announced as the winner
That is amazing!
Even knowing they won, you can really feel the tension and joy they felt!
Indeed! I felt that. And it was beautiful to see that there hard work paid off.
Hi. They returned as featured guests during finals of next season. You will be amazed how much they improved

It was an incredible journey.
There are still some reactions coming (I need Your love and superfruit)
Kirstie is the only woman to be on a winning team in any of the four seasons.
And we've come full circle. Great job, thank you! A fun, educational journey. Now look how far they've come in thirteen years, and all the beautiful music they've gifted us.....can't wait to see what the future holds!

@@sonjadrussell Great to stay in touch following Pentatonix music. We have had some fun times online. @SaeedReacts is great with PTX! Take good care.

Thanks for doing this. I really enjoyed seeing it again.

Mitch looked terrified. Kirstie was about to cry the whole show.
I wouldnt be able to stand 😅

That was the longest wait ever!
It really was! 😅
Nick was more right than he could have guessed -- PTX has gone on to be the most famous and successful a capella group in history.
Kirstie is the only girl onstage. I call her TSO queen lol. The winners from seasons 1, 2, 4 and 5 are also all-male groups

TX Saeed. Yes the tension is always there even we know what the outcome is. Great reaction as always. Greetings from South Africa
I felt the nerves!
Glad they won. And it was amazing to go on this journey.

The shows over here do the same thing with drawing it out. We also get ads between shows, but not as many interruptions(for now)
Seriously, check out the Christmas shows. They aren't reacted to enough.
Will do!
Here’s the Christmas song they did the next week, as mentioned in the video
