There better be at least be a song half as amazing and beautiful as this for when Matt leaves (which will be shortly after the Christmas special this year). I love them both.
I put this before the whole internet: if, God forbid, David Tennant dies in my lifetime, I will make it my duty to be outside the funeral and playing this when they take his coffin out of the church...
+Soomin Kong Maybe he just knows Latin? It's not that hard of a language, really. Besides, in the next verse "nunquam" is translated to "never," so it seems just logical that in the previous one the word would have the same meaning.
Joel, have some respect for the emotional artwork that is displayed so beautifully in this piece and use another song to make fun of a show so many people grew up with...
People will probably argue with me here but this kinda makes me cross. Ten got 'Song for Ten' and 'Vale Decem' but Nine got nothing. Which I think is unfair. Ten got a song in his first episode yet Nine had a whole series and didn't get a song at all. Apart from the Doctor's theme, which Ten had too so it doesn't really count.
Really good song but some of these lyrics make no sense or aren't quite accurate. For example, "Gratis tibi ago" means I give you thanks, not we give you thanks. Another is that Pacifici does not mean "Who brought us peace", I don't think it's even anywhere close to that translation.
I just realized, near the end, the word 'vale' is said ten times....
its awkward listening to it without the sound of the TARDIS being destroyed by regeneration energy
This song is ending, but the story never ends.
Aaaaand now I'm crying and getting my hearts broken for Tenth.... Again....
The tears come with the lore!
I want to have this at my funeral as well.
It could be our way of give 10 the funeral he never got.
Completely lost it at 'Nunquam Sungularis'. I never knew this song has such dept. So cathartic.
Oh my GOD, why didn't I think about finding a translation of this before?! It's even more beautiful now that I know what they sing, I'm in tears!
I want this music at my funeral....this is the best music EVER

So what's your thoughts?
I don't want to go
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The original is: I don't wanna go (😭)
How does one say an emoji in brackets?
Latin is beautiful his catch-phrase was allons-y which means lets go and his last words were i dont want to go Step 1 try not not cry Step 2 CRY ALOT
Yeah... We'll never forget him. And whenever we hear this song we'll always remember this scene...
I put this before the whole internet: if, God forbid, David Tennant dies in my lifetime, I will make it my duty to be outside the funeral and playing this when they take his coffin out of the church...
Agreed. If it is not done I will do it with the broadcasts.
I will be there too, I’ll bring a big speaker to make the music louder too
Listen to this at full volume
Jesus christ feels like I'm watching the episode again. ;-;
any time you nearly make me cry it is epic... *sob* THIS IS MORE THAN SAD AND EPIC!
This gets me worked up every time I hear it. Seeing the words along with the piece only got me more worked up
Thank you. It's beautiful! I miss you, Ten :'(
David tennant played my favorite doctor. Those photos hit be in the feels with a 100 ton weight.
I watched this episode last night and I'm still not over it ...
The translations just made me cry so hard. Vale Decem!

RZRomeoZulu Just as you Ric !!!
Rosenmone13 இڿڰۣ-ڰۣ- 〈♥〉 :-) thanks
You are loved, so loved
This is brilliant. I hadn't even known there were lyrics/words to the song. Thanks a lot
I think that the BBC, with this song, took farewell of David Tennant's Doctor in the best way they possibly could.
@1PoorSoft1 Thank you for your comment, it is greatly appreciated.
This is the most beautiful video on youtube, thank you for making this!
Nanquam singularis doesn't translate to you are not alone, it translates to never alone
zander1025 :o How do you know?
+Soomin Kong Maybe he just knows Latin? It's not that hard of a language, really. Besides, in the next verse "nunquam" is translated to "never," so it seems just logical that in the previous one the word would have the same meaning.
Название:Vale Decem (Lyrics and translation - with many great pictures) Хронометраж:3:19 Канал:Steven Richards
1:09 holy stron EEEEEEEEG
You watch doctor who ytp to
We will sing for you doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep.
i want this to be played at my funeral, yes i know "farewell ten" doesn't really make much sense. But it's such a beautiful and sad song.
Goosebumps
Now I have to watch the end of time again
I agree. Nine was brilliant and should have more recognition. :\
I actually saw it last week. which is three weeks after you so I am also...
My funeral song...

I Need A Chaaaaaair
"Don't.
Just.. Don't."
-The Doctor, Midnight
2:15 "I don't wanna go"
I wonder if Matt's farewell will be this sad in December...
So that's what 'Vale Decem' means... excuse me while I go die a slow, painful and tearful death... :(
RUN CLEVER GIRL! ...and remember...
I wonder what how sad we'll be on christmas 2013
Matt Deserves a a great regeneration no doubt about it :)
Well he did not get it
I practically shit myself when I reached the part where the translation said 'you are not alone.'
DOCTOR. . . (CRY)
The universe really sang him to sleep.
until 11 o clock!
I miss the tenth...
2:50 Best episode ever!
3x10, Blink?
If anyone has this track on mp3, please let me know :-)
Wonderful. I have just one criticism: the translation wasn't bright enough to be read easily.
Haha, always!
+caddy1957able Vale Decem is Latin while Valeyard is Gallifreyen
Requiascat in pace.. :'c
whoever disliked this video was too overcome by feels for ten
hope they have a song lile this for eleven
Vale Undécim!!!
I dont wanna go
*Acts out and recites the scene off by heart*
If "Vale" translates to "farewell" then what of the "Vale yard"?
This is Latin. Valeyard is Gallifreyan.
and in related is his regeneration TT____TT
I miss the doctors daughter genie is clear when she died we all die with her
*jenny
H Jones Jenny is still out there, waiting to meet the Doctor and get a spin off
so do i
I need a chaiiiir
Oh God I hate legooooo!
We need a cover where its sung properly with actual latin pronunciation
pacifici, who brought us peace
How is that possible?? :P
Just one word aahh i want to know this language just for that xd
BrittOnly pacifist/ peace bringer
BrittOnly I believe this is Latin
Hannah Hillig yep
Well, in Italian "Pacifici" means "Peaceful"
Joel, have some respect for the emotional artwork that is displayed so beautifully in this piece and use another song to make fun of a show so many people grew up with...

Pacifici is awfully familiar to pacifist and the translation is suspicious too
Doctor what is change my dear and not a moment to soon
They say farewell ten times at the end :(
It's okay. I didn't need my feels anyway.
TARDIS, thanks, you don't translated music, that is much sad
Nunquam singularis. Vale decem.:(
Really good song but some of these lyrics make no sense or aren't quite accurate. For example, "Gratis tibi ago" means I give you thanks, not we give you thanks. Another is that Pacifici does not mean "Who brought us peace", I don't think it's even anywhere close to that translation.
WHY autocorrect I said my not men X.X
To be exact, it's mispronounced Latin. The letter "V" is pronounced like a "W" in Latin. The Romans did not have a "W" in their language.
Fine, now i can die on my own, in a wet dirty floor, alone
fajny filmik leci subek liczę na rewanż
And after all that...
"lEGs!"
It's Latin.
David was the best
Sorry to say but Matt Smith will NEVER Be as tragic in my opinion
this "laungue" is obviously latin.
BrittOnly It is Latin. Go a head.
DON'T FO THIS TO ME X(
I don't want to go...
