i dont think its bad music at all , just really mediocre , doesnt really pop out like murrays did , it just sort of ... exists. the doctors main theme is pretty good but its barely put in the show.
I love Murray’s music so much. The RTD music is really quiet and somber to emphasise 9 and 10 being the lonely God. 11’s theme is very loud and erratic like how 11 acts whilst 12’s theme is very serious like his Doctor!

tbf that is how it started, murray originally had to work with pretty much all sampled instruments with s1 as the show didn't have the budget it did in later seasons; so it's really his composing brilliance that makes the music pop out in s1, because we didn't have an orchestra then and he was able to make do.
A Good Man sounds like the exact sort of generic forgettable crap you'd find in the average superhero movie. Sometimes Gold was great, other times he was intrusive, other times he was generic and bland. It wasn't all amazing. I'd take loads of 13 era tracks over stuff like A Good Man, even if I wouldn't take them over the best of Gold's stuff (which as it happens is all pretty much from the RTD era, only a couple Moffat era tracks stand out like the albeit overused I am the Doctor, or Vincent and the Doctor and The Shepherd's Boy, but otherwise the music can't stand up to the RTD stuff imo anyway).
I remember when it first cake out and I must of been something like I dunno 7 at the time I watched it over and over again as I had ot on record but oneday I accidentally deleted it and I was so upset untill I finally got it on Dvd

Seems odd you didn't include these tracks: The Daleks The Dark And Endless Dalek Night Words Win Wars The Life And Death Of Amelia Pond The Long Song/Infinite Potential There are more but I can't think of names rn, but these are definitely some of the best Murray Gold has to offer
I love murray gold's music so much! I remember hearing rose's theme for the first time and thinking how beautiful it was. I also loved how the music in episodes like father's day and the end of time could bring me to tears, but music in episodes like the christmas invasion and the eleventh hour could bring me such joy! Murray gold is a genius and I hope his music returns to doctor who! 😊

No. He has made music for 17% of Doctor Who, from Rose in 2005 until Twice Upon a Time in 2017. Everything from the first 8 Doctors, and everything from 13 forward, is not composed by Murray Gold. And he has arranged the titles, not composed them. Ron Grainer composed the main theme in 1963 and Murray Gold has done his own versions of Grainer's composition in all of New Who. But he didn't "make" the Doctor Who theme, he just adapted it.
