I miss Capaldi more than anyone else in the show. Lol sometimes I play this on my phone when I’m watching Smith or Tennant episodes during the big “puzzle solving” scene. Still works perfectly and it’s so damned motivating. It’s a fun game trying to pick the perfect moment to start the track (things one does during quarantine).

Something about Peter Capaldi feels like THE definitive Doctor. Here we have a lifelong fan IRL who finally got to experience his dream and personifies it amazingly, combined with Steven Moffat's equally gut wrenching writing. The Doctor feels so correct here. Anger from all he's been through, compassion through who he is, the confusion with human culture an alien would have, and above all the duty to protect the world. An absolute perfect fit, and I miss him so much more for it. Capaldi gave his soul to his role and lived The Doctor for the time he was on set. I TRULY hope we can see him back at some point for an anniversary, his run will always be my favorite, no hating on Smith or Tennant, I grew up with both, but as a Teenager and Adult by the time the series ended, you could tell Capaldi personified the Doctor on every level.

This is why I love the 12th Doctor.. He may look old and feeble, but he's full of so much might and strength. If he wanted to, he could raise the depths of the oceans using his intellect alone. This old, feeble man is quite formidable.
When he gives The Zygon Inversion speech... I never fully appreciated the burden the Doctor carried from the Time War until then. He'd been so flippant and avoided it. Sure, I knew it haunted him... when Capaldi spoke of when he closes his eyes, I realized how fresh the wounds still were, and how fresh they would always be.
Twelve had all the best music. I'm not even sure why, he just does. It's like Murray Gold wanted to make his run extra special by upping his music game. Either way, I love the series, and the music, along with this channel
I love the scene near the end of Hell Bent when he opens the dormant T.A.R.D.I.S and as his hand touches the rail the T.A.R.D.I.S wakes up while this theme plays. I'm going to really miss Capaldi when he eventually leaves.
I love the Capaldi Doctor. He reminds me in a way to the old docotors.. the first ones. And he manages to have a whiff of the new ones. Yep.. love this Doctor. Hate to see him go.
"I'm the Doctor. I will do everything in my power to save all your lives. And when I do, you will spend the rest of them wondering who I was and why I helped you."
Capaldi's Doctor is the most alien of them all, and most ancient. He's like over 3,5 million years old now. It's nice this stuff translates well into music.
He didn't age in the Confession Dial that much. Remember how he got to reset the teleporter device, his dieing body burned all his remaining energy, then a fresh new copy of his initial arrival body emerged from the teleporter and he got to solve most of the riddle again to the "hardest ever" wall (can't remember the name, Crystillium maybe?). When he finally broke the wall, that was technically only "less than a day" old body. He finally got all things together (I don't think, that he could remember anything, becase the previous body died, there isn't anything like mind transfer going on, is it?) and realized, that it took several billions of years in the Confession Dial and who's actually responsible for that. So he's not billions of years old, he only has the knowledge of time passing this long while he was imprisoned.
Strange, when you got to think about that episode, his old body burned down to dust each time, but only his skull remained. Why the skull? Why no other bones? A whole skeleton? Do all Gallifreyans have such a durable skull, or is the Doctor really a hybrid? If he is, then which races? Humans aren't fireproof, so that "half human, half Time Lord" is nonsense.
"I tried to talk. I want you to remember that. I tried to reach out, I tried to understand you but I think that you understand us perfectly. And I think you just don’t care. And I don’t know whether you are here to invade, infiltrate or just replace us. I don’t suppose it really matters now. You are monsters. That is the role you seem determined to play. So it seems I must play mine. The man that stops the monsters. I’m sending you back to your own dimension. Who knows? Some of you may even survive the trip. And if you do, remember this - you are not welcome here. This plane is protected. I am the Doctor. And I name you The Boneless." Awesome moment in an awesome series - and I was/am an 11th Doc fan-but 12 is beside on the podium. Well and your "fantastic" soundtracks! Allons-y!!!
idk why people were so judgemental about the 12th Doctor being old at the time, for me, he's meant to be and old crazy 'scientist' type character, I think series 9 and 10 did that really well personally.

1:59 I remember the final moments of Season 9, when the Doctor opened the TARDIS doors and her primary systems came back online. Such a poignant moment, there was an element of raw emotion in that scene that really struck home with me. Then as he ascended the steps and looked down at his chalk-board. 'RUN YOU CLEVER BOY...AND BE A DOCTOR'. He puts on his red velvet jacket, then turns around. Suddenly the TARDIS Materialises a new Sonic Screwdriver for him. A Reward for spending all that time away inside the confession dial, and finding his way, not only home, but back to her. With a click of his fingers, the doors swing shut and he walks down the steps towards the console, he takes a hold of the space time throttle and pulls it down hard, the engines revving back up and the de-materialisation process starting. This final scene drove home to me the significance of these two characters... It's the Doctor...and the TARDIS...others come and go...Rose, Donna, Martha, Clara, even Bill in Season 10...but in the end...it's the same old duo...the Doctor and the TARDIS... It's both humbling and sad at the same time...
13:48 and 14:10. The Doctors words at these points seem to me to be becoming ever more relevant in today's world. In a way that makes me feel so uncomfortable... But can I be the only one who feels driven to quote the War Doctor and say "no more?"
Peter Capaldi IS the Doctor. He encapsulated all the others up to him and really was an alien who had seen so much, taken so much on his shoulders, and often lost it as he hadn't the patience to talk to 'lesser mortals' of any species. The years since his departure have nigh on ruined the mythos, made the character totally immortal and destroyed Gallifrey - and if time could be rewritten I wish all that twaddle with the Master and the timelord kid erased - but I'm confident that RTD will take the helm in full control and put this magical and aspirational character back on track. New beginnings... and I hope that one day Peter Capaldi will return, albeit briefly no doubt.
Not the most famous with the general audience but Capaldi is the definitive Doctor of the new series. You can really believe he is a 2000+ years old person. He is tired, grumpy, doesn't have time for stupidity and he knows and accepts that sometimes people die because the solution isn't always the best but someone needs to get the job done to ensure the survival of the rest. If the show ended with Capaldi I would have accepted it because he feels like the culmination of a long journey.
End of a fantastic era. Each doctor has so much to bring to their role as the doctor, and Capaldi definately made the doctor both funny and darker which is something i appreciate. I have seen his thank you and goodbye speeches, and he gracefully bowed out. Now i'm looking forward to a new doctor. I just hope we get to see more of her then just her face after regeneration, and then wait til next season.
The twelfth doctor was not my cup of tea to start with but, glad to say that Peter Capaldi is starting to grow on me. Funny how a great character can do that to you
Merci beaucoup, j'adore l'écouter de temps en temps, surtout le passage à 9:28, une magnifique scène de la saison 8 La saison 9 était encore plus cool ;)
I love listening to these soundtracks at work. Just kinda sit there and replay episodes in your mind as the music goes. Very nice. Thank you for providing this.
This music is amazing . I got to hear this live when the doctor who show came to Australia and it makes me smile and be a little bit sad that 12th will be going but the Doctor will always be a Doctor
One of my favorite moments in this series was the Good Man talk. Especially Danny Pink... he grew on me, especially when he died. That had been awesome.
I'm watching the 12th doctor's first season and trust me I love this guy sooo much. I loved him the moment he regenerated and I can't get enough of him. Yeah I do love the previous doctors (9th especially) but I found 12th way more amazing. Idk if anyone agrees with me but 12th is perfect. He kinda suits the way someone could imagine how a person thousands of years would be. Besides, I cant but see the 12th as grumpy grampa.
At 11:26 the Doctor looks exactly like he's hearing the audio quality of his theme song! :P Oswin Pond, my son and I love your videos; don't take us wrong, we are avid Whovians!
Ugh, SO GOOD! I'm going to miss Murray Gold's spectacular scores so much!! And while I'm extremely excited about seeing Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, Peter Capaldi is my favourite (which surprised me, given how much utter shite Moffat put the characters and the story through and because I was originally a Tennant fan). Peter was an exceptional Doctor and I will miss him terribly. Thank you Oswin Pond again for such great compilations!! I listen to AT LEAST 20 minutes of Doctor Who music every day and it's almost always from your channel.
A Good Man? is hands down my favourite theme. It fits the Doctor so well. To me this theme sounds like he has this dark personality, this dark sorrow from everything that he has lost, but it also sounds like he is trying for redemption from every bad deed he has done. Anyone else think this?
Capaldi can handle intense drama, as in The Zygon Inversion war speech, and high comedy, as in The Husbands of River Song, entering the TARDIS for the first time. He will be missed.
Well, I think he's actually 2000 and something, but you know. Matt Smith had his moments, though. He was excellent from the seventh series through 'til the Time Of The Doctor.
+Sumeragi Kishi I don't know that there is a "best". Each actor represents the Doctor at a different period in his life: Eccleston, the traumatized survivor who just wants to live; Tennant, the man who found himself caring and integrating into a people he could never be a part of (very manic-depressive); Smith, the one who wanted to forget obligation and connection, but ended up getting sucked into the life of a small family; Capaldi, the one whose hopes were dashed and who says what every Doctor thus far has been thinking - "sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones, but you still has to choose." I like all of them. That said, I prefer the Tennant and Capaldi depictions, but you work with the scripts that were written for you. Smith did some brilliant work, especially in "The Rings of Akhaten".
+Alan Jarvis It was super-heroic (which makes me think it would have fit the 10th better - but the 10th theme hinted at sadness that was super-key to the character). It is, however, suitably grand and appropriate for the scale the 11th was operating at.
Well, I have a harder time deciding which Doctor I like the most and which of his themes. It keeps changing with every season I see. I'm still in season 10 and after losing 2 of my favourite Doctors, I don't think I can bear to see another one go. And I'm not even sure if I wanna complete the season and then start with a totally new female doctor. Is watching the female Doctor worth it ?
I feel the greatest pathos for #12 had was the one riddle he could not solve: "who's face is this?" It was a message #10 tried to send to himself, THAT THE DOCTOR COULD STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE even by saving just one person or one family. Unfortunately, a message that was forever lost to who most needed to be the one to hear it.

It's a terrific theme. Perfectly fits Capaldi's Doctor!
@Stevean2 you alright buddy?
@Stevean2 Christ chill out mate lmfao
@Stevean2 "Sacrifice their youth". M8 you sound like you just stepped right out of the pages of the Old Testament. And not in a good way (not that there are any good ways, mind you).
I really love Capaldi. He's very different than 9, 10 and 11, something very new.
+Grabacr50 And then he is so classic like the classic doctors
+DorneysLP I LOVE that about him. The other recent doctors were very modern with their loopy hair and mannerisms. This one looks like he walked right out of the classic series. Doesn't he?! Yup
+TheFounderUtopia he's like that because of the new regeneration cycle.
Best part is that he is not into marriage and love (btw kissing) doctors...i think that ruins doctor who but capaldi...makes it special with his emotion it makes Doctor who fantastic!!
I am certainly going to miss 12. He brought an element of mystery to the show. Old yet young, clever and silly but all the same brilliant!
I do not care what people say, I am going to miss the 12th doctor
me too
+Robert Slattery hes not going anywhere, what are you talking about
Peter capaldi should replace david tennats ' best doctor '
+Emre Karaman It was announced that Capaldi considers leaving with Moffat after series 10 so the new writer gets a chance to create their own Doctor.
+Bradley Green He hasn't decided yet, and Moffat has said in the past that he wouldn't wish a hard reset on his successor like he did because of how stressful it was for him. There's still a chance for Capaldi to stay in Series 11!
Something about Peter Capaldi feels like THE definitive Doctor. Here we have a lifelong fan IRL who finally got to experience his dream and personifies it amazingly, combined with Steven Moffat's equally gut wrenching writing. The Doctor feels so correct here.
Completely agree, I was floored when I first watched his run. He felt like all previous doctors combined while still being his own, and it did feel right, too right. Just wish my grandmother could've watched his run with me. I know she would've enjoyed it.
Beautifully said! Thank you 👏👏👏👏👏
I couldn't have said it any better than this! Totally. Tennant and Smith doctors were iconic but Capaldi's doctor is what I imagine the Doctor to be.
the Twelfth Doctor's character is so dark and yet so brilliant, full of meaning. I love how his version has developed over three seasons.
I forget sometimes that he started out with short hair at the ending of Season 7. I prefer him with longer hair. Makes him look softer, more approachable.
Then it gets too long and makes him look weird. =)
It matches how he's grown as a character over time.
Started bitter. Ended bittersweet.
And more ''grandpa''
He looks too much like Malcolm Tucker with short hair! But I guess it fits the Doctor in season 8 :)
Reminds me of how Pertwee's Doctor started with short hair and ended with long. Another similarity is that they have a item of clothing with bright red lining and they have a ring.
I LOVE THE WAY PETER TALK,S I COULD LISTEN TO HIM ALL DAY,
Right?? The man could read a dictionary to me and I'd be happy!
"Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones....but you still have to choose."
I did not order these deep quotes, or these feels....
i agree
This is why I love the 12th Doctor.. He may look old and feeble, but he's full of so much might and strength. If he wanted to, he could raise the depths of the oceans using his intellect alone. This old, feeble man is quite formidable.
Peter Capaldi is easily my favourite doctor. Brilliant soundtrack. I hope he has more seasons to come!
I wish...

Exactly! I was doing my homework while listening to this is the background, and flipped out when The Doctor started talking. Some jump-scare...
omg yesssss thats exactly what Im doing right now xD #proudtobeawhovian
i aggree
I loved this doctor and his theme always gave me chills. When I need to get something done, this is the tune I play to push through!
This theme to me is so much why I love this version of the doctor. I always get goosebumps when it plays.
I swear 2:16 makes me feel nostalgic so much!!! It’s epic and I smile whenever i hear it in his run cus I know that he means business!!
Out of all the themes, this is the most heroic
Fan-TAS-tic medley! I'm so ready for Season 9 to begin.
it already did tho
Maybe he's a time traveler from the past who got confused?
+FourOfHearts if you haven't noticed, wibbly wobbly! :D
oh i see what you did there
HellfireComms Series 10*
The ultimate determination music, the amount of work I have got done just by listening to this at the same time.
Totally awesome Oswin, thank-you so much for posting this!
this theme is just one of the reason the 12th is the best Doctor Who
That's a hell of a doctor.
Whoever plays the Doctor. I will always like them
Oswin Pond Drogué de "Remember Me" va ! XDD Moi je peux me taire c'est An Idiot With A Box la mienne XDDD. J'ai hâte pour tes autres vidéos !
The twelfth doctor was not my cup of tea to start with but, glad to say that Peter Capaldi is starting to grow on me. Funny how a great character can do that to you
Dave Ball Nearing his end, how do you feel about the character?
Andrew De Jesus Peter capaldi+Season4Writing=Best doctor
Just in his final season I was really starting to like him.. Shame :(
Same I was just grieving over Matt Smith but after the end of his first season I knew he was The Doctor
The same thing happened to me, but after watching his season again he ended up convincing me that he is one of my favorites. It's Doctor "Disco"
The best Doctor who music of all time
1. A Good Man?
2.I am the Doctor
3.All the Strange, Strange Creatures
Why does everyone always forget hanging on the tablaphone😂
Without a doubt my favorite musical theme for the Doctor
Merci beaucoup, j'adore l'écouter de temps en temps, surtout le passage à 9:28, une magnifique scène de la saison 8
La saison 9 était encore plus cool ;)
Yes indeed an amazing theme
The man that stops the monsters... it was that speech and the music that cemented Capaldi for me.
I love listening to these soundtracks at work. Just kinda sit there and replay episodes in your mind as the music goes. Very nice. Thank you for providing this.
What a lovely tribute to my favorite Doctor!
7 years ago... omg. I thought there were 3 or 4.
This music is amazing . I got to hear this live when the doctor who show came to Australia and it makes me smile and be a little bit sad that 12th will be going but the Doctor will always be a Doctor
THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
Yes indeed
One of my favorite moments in this series was the Good Man talk. Especially Danny Pink... he grew on me, especially when he died. That had been awesome.
I'm sure as hell gonna miss #12...
Oh my God! Your videos are just brilliant. Thanks for posting this. :-)
Steve123 Jones123 Thanks for the comment!
i love this! thankyou!
That combination of 11's theme and 12's is masterful~
Goodbye, My doctor
love the clean editing 😁
This song really grows on you. The more I listen the more it gives me shivers.
"I am the Doctor, and I stop the monsters"
I am SO going to miss Capaldi!!! ;-(
He has and always will be my number one dr who.
Comment.
He was always the best
At 11:26 the Doctor looks exactly like he's hearing the audio quality of his theme song! :P
Oswin Pond, my son and I love your videos; don't take us wrong, we are avid Whovians!
When he does his first speech about the boneless it sends shivers down my spine, that's when I fell in love with this dr
Period.
LOVE THIS!! Thank You!!
La version live *Q* Thank you ! Thank you so much !
Bwaaaa Mais de rien ^^
Merci pour le commentaire!
No problemo ! :)
If you're still here you're a legend
I"m always here

Beautiful stuff!
A Good Man? is hands down my favourite theme. It fits the Doctor so well. To me this theme sounds like he has this dark personality, this dark sorrow from everything that he has lost, but it also sounds like he is trying for redemption from every bad deed he has done. Anyone else think this?
I agree.
Outstanding athmosphere and dynamic
The chimes in the opening somehow remind me of Amy's theme.
Yeah it does. In the Majestic Tale, I can hear parts of I Am The Doctor
Capaldi can handle intense drama, as in The Zygon Inversion war speech, and high comedy, as in The Husbands of River Song, entering the TARDIS for the first time.
He will be missed.
I love 12th Doctor. (and I love Peter) I think he's great actor ,I wonna be good like him,Im actress
Well, I think he's actually 2000 and something, but you know. Matt Smith had his moments, though. He was excellent from the seventh series through 'til the Time Of The Doctor.
I have, actually, I just forgot that bit. And also, I'm Canadian. *laughs*
Shane Arcaro so,Im Polish liveing in Wien (Austria) and next year next step,NY
I'm from Canada too !
+Oswin Pond (John Smith) Goddamn right you are!
Capaldi is the best doctor since ecclestone ( correct me if I spelled his name wrong. ) But Tennant is a CLOSE second.
+S Chavarria Since you asked, his name is spelled Eccleston (no E at the end). I like your avatar, it's cool.
+2ToneFan I drew it. That's what hours of obsession of drawing does to you.
+S Chavarria It's brilliant.
+2ToneFan go to my Facebook page, I draw stuff, and will take requests.at Sean Chavarria .
+Sumeragi Kishi I don't know that there is a "best". Each actor represents the Doctor at a different period in his life: Eccleston, the traumatized survivor who just wants to live; Tennant, the man who found himself caring and integrating into a people he could never be a part of (very manic-depressive); Smith, the one who wanted to forget obligation and connection, but ended up getting sucked into the life of a small family; Capaldi, the one whose hopes were dashed and who says what every Doctor thus far has been thinking - "sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones, but you still has to choose."
I like all of them. That said, I prefer the Tennant and Capaldi depictions, but you work with the scripts that were written for you. Smith did some brilliant work, especially in "The Rings of Akhaten".
Well, I know like no one will share my thoughts buuuuuuut... I prefer these versions to the "I'm the Doctor."
+Booper Dooper Yeah! This theme got something about Hans Zimmer's The Dark Knight
I think "I am the Doctor" and "A Good Man?" are the best themes. They is more work on them.
Me dan muchas pilorecciones con este 12Th theme jajaja AMAZING!!!
I feel the greatest pathos for #12 had was the one riddle he could not solve: "who's face is this?"
It was a message #10 tried to send to himself, THAT THE DOCTOR COULD STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE even by saving just one person or one family. Unfortunately, a message that was forever lost to who most needed to be the one to hear it.
I Love him Too i cant stop think about it
“I’d thought I’d get... younger.”
“I am younger”
This is an absolutely fantastic tune
If you play it really loud and you have headphones it sounds SO epic
Billy Mays yup, it amplifies it's awesomeness!!!!! #IHeartHeartTheTwelfthDoctor #IAmTotallyGonnaMiss12
Or hurt your ear
@@thebachiever234 it will do both but your hearing goes away before you even realize
sherlock music - chills
doctor who music - tears
supernatural music - barely anything
Now that he may be leaving Doctor Who..I realize he was an awesome doctor after all.
one second in eternity passed.RESPECT!
simply amazing this matt smiths i am the doctor and david tennents theme are simply the best
I don't like davids that much he should have gotten this one but I still love this one with capalati!
