You know truth be told, as much as I like each individual Doctor having his own theme, this theme here, to me, is THE theme of The Doctor. Not 11, not 10 or 12, but the Doctor himself, through the all his lives. And while Murray Gold is an incredible composer and he can create masterpieces and will no doubt go on to top this song, I think that in my heart I will always love this song. I will never forget when the Doctor's Theme was this song.
How? To me it's larger than 11, it has the feeling of action but also of peace, of determination and of excitement. Each Doctor has their individual themes yes, but I just feel like this would fit for the Doctor in general, in all his lives.

Tbh your right I did a rewatched 9th 10th 11th and 12th. And I've only watched Smith's season once but it does get better on a second rewatching. I stopped at 13th after the Rosa park episode I just couldn't push myself to watch anymore though I did love power of the doctor

Incarnations, Doctors, and Cycle Incarnations. If you go by incarnations, then there are fourteen incarnations currently. If you go by Doctors, then there are twelve Doctors. The War Doctor didn't call himself the Doctor during the Time War, so that takes away one. Ten regenerated twice, so that takes away another one, making twelve. The Cycle Incarnation way is a bit new and rare, and I don't really like it. Anyway, in the Cycle Incarnation way, Capaldi is the 2nd Cycle, 1st Doctor. I don't think the numbers were supposed to match up to specific Doctors is all. I mean, the Time War wasn't going on during the 1-4 Doctors, and it's not like he wanted to "declare" one in the first place. He also doesn't manage to save everyone, so it's not entirely accurate anyway.

I feel sorry for him because for him, if he make the slightest mistake people will drop on him like a ton of bricks and will be less liked than Piper when she played Rose.

For everyone saying Peter Capaldi is the fourteenth Doctor, I am sorry to tell you, but he is not. You see, there are three ways of numbering the Doctor. Incarnations, Doctors, and Cycle Incarnations. If you go by incarnations, then there are fourteen incarnations currently. If you go by Doctors, then there are twelve Doctors. The War Doctor didn't call himself the Doctor during the Time War, so that takes away one. Ten regenerated twice, so that takes away another one, making twelve. The Cycle Incarnation way is a bit new and rare, and I don't really like it. Anyway, in the Cycle Incarnation way, Capaldi is the 2nd Cycle, 1st Doctor. (SPOILER ALERT)
This is because the Time Lords gave him a new regeneration cycle.
Well by the end of the 50th, 11 tells the War Doctor his is "The Doctor." So Capaldi is the 13th.

It’s been over 10 years since we last heard this song but it’s still the first song that pops into my head when I think about Doctor Who, even before the main theme. I can’t remember the theme songs for any of the other doctors but this one is still crystal clear.
