Harry Oldaker Noooo I mean it's great, but I wouldn't say it's the best. I am the Doctor is probably Gold's best score. Though personally I still prefer the Derbyshire and Howell themes
That first theme gives me chills. I believe the mark of truly good music is its ability to evoke emotions, imagery, and memories when you hear it. Every time I hear this piece, I feel as though I'm being given a glimpse of something unimaginably ancient, something so much wiser and grander than our fleeting little human lives. The Last of the Time Lords, that wise and ancient race... It has the capacity to expand and free the mind, to let one see the universe through the lens of what may be, of what so many hope could be real... And then Tennant goes and says wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff and you almost choke on your drink.
+MakeYouHoppy In my opinion, the thing that makes Tennant stand out is his acting skills. When he's on screen under the control of the Midnight Entity for example, you see that he's trying to fight it but in the end he's completely helpless. He hears what he's saying and he's pretty much terrified, an emotion that few of the other TV Time Lords show. He's the most human of the all the doctors.
Robert Brown I totally agree bro, we humans are NOTHING compared to the ancient, powerful, wise, etc. race of the Time Lords OR the DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!! ☺😀😃☺

The first one to me was like a big slam in my heart. The symphony and passion of the music describes sorrow, regret, anger, and happiness in sound. Honestly, one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. I never really listened to a feeling with no words and wanted to cry. To feel what the music is saying. To know that there are words and soul put into every note of this music. Its just so beautiful.
Sebastian Michaelis Same, the first one is very emotional and strong, I remember back in like 2007, when Doctor who was a big thing, I watched the televison and everytime it came on, I would shiver from mixed emotions. The 10th Doctors is emotional, the 11th is epic and funny, the ninth is a mix between emotional and epic.

with ten they made the appearance of the tardis special. people's reaction when they saw the big blue box.....like....HE is here! don't have that with 11 and 12
It's just because he's different. If they kept it the same then it would get boring. I agree that the tardis belonged to him but 'the doctors wife' remains the best episode ever
I believe 12 has a little bit of it but not much, i think he had it when the brought back the bad wolf theme in class so i would like to see more of that kind of think in series 10.
What I love about Ten is that he made me feel... when he was happy and hyper I found myself smiling from ear to ear. When he was sad you really felt for him and when he was angry and furious I got shivers. I can not compare 12 because I'm currently watching season 6. The last episode I saw was Night terrors. When it comes to eleven... it took me the whole season 5 to warm up to him. The first moment I said myself "Yes, I like him" was in The Big Bang in that scene when he talks to sleeping little Amelia. For me 11 is very good at being goofy and funny and also emotional but I just can't believe him being angry and furious. In Beast Bellow and that first episode with the Daleks in season 5... I just didn't feel it. There should have resonate something in me and it just didn't click. Or that speech he has in Big Bang to his enemies... great speech, great music playing during it but there was something about Smith's delivery that made me feel like there should have been something more. I'm wandering what my opinion about him will be by the end of season 7... if it change or not. Funny thing is that my impuls to start watch Doctor Who was the fact that Maisie Williams will guest star in season 9 and I'm a big fan of Arya in Game of Thrones and the actress herself and before that I didn't knew anything about the show.
The best doctor. When he got angry it looked real. When he got sad the viewer got sad. When he got happy so did the viewer. When he was on edge the viewer was on edge and when these OST’s came on we all knew something was going down

Murray Gold’s work on Doctor who is so undervalued. I feel like at his best he rivals the likes of John Williams. Of all the things that took a hit when series eleven came out, the thing I miss most is Gold’s fantastic score.

Can you not be moved and stirred by these epic musical themes for the reboot Who? Can't you even have more than one favorite Doctor? Four in the Classic was my first, then Three. I just dote on Nine, Ten and Eleven as well now. There's room to consider them all in the light of their portrayals: they're all the Doctor. Don't forget how the ears were first caught with the original theme more than 50 years gone, and we still cheer on this valiant, lonely Time Lord! If Tennant, Smith, Baker and Davison didn't care for this character, do you think they would simply refuse to even appear at specials and conventions, no matter how much money is on the table? This is all talent, from the music to the actors, the writers, producers and everybody working behind the scenes. Bravo to them all! Just fantastic!
11:42 I am crying and saying "I don't want to go." Because YES I found the doctor to be exact David tenants version to be a incredible role model and seeing as well I consider myself a time lord I am hyped for the new season.
***** Tyler is right though it would not be fair if David came back because Matt and Chris were both the Doctor. Not just David and Peter anyway lets let Peter have his run first before we start talking Regeneration.
The reason why David Tennant is my favourite doctor is because of the writing at that time. If I had to chose my favourite doctor based of their personality etc I would actually choose Peter Capaldi, but David Tennant's episodes had the best writing and music which I loved.
+Venatus67 Really? I think Capaldi has the best stories? I mean: look at Heaven Sent. Look at Last Christmas. Look at Face the Raven. Those and many other episodes are so well-done. I loved Series 9 so much. However, David Tennant does make a close second (my favourite episode of his easily being The Waters of Mars).
Preston Garvey I have trouble taking Peter Capaldi seriously. he tries to get the epic feel out, but every episode the enemy ends up not actually being a enemy or they take the non violence thing to a cartoon level.
Zachary Johnson In my opinion, every modern doctor had villains like that, and I believe Peter Capaldi handles it better than other (although season 8 did have terrible villains). I understand if you see it in a different light.
Supremacy962 Yeap :'( But I have seen 2 pre-screeners of the new series 8 (basically the first 2 episodes just not completely finished) and Peter is amazing as the doctor :)
I personally find this theme and nines to be the saddest, I love elevens but his is much more heroic and brave compared to this. Tens theme sings of all the loss he went though, losing the girl who he gave his regeneration for then having Martha who was a temporary solution to his sadness- though a loyal companion she wasn't the one that he wanted. Then losing Donna and having to erase her memories. But at the end of the song it shows that he realizes that he has lost but he will never be alone as he rises above the evil that is always there in front of him. No matter what face he is or who he has with him, he will always be the Doctor, a man to serve and heal.
I wonder what his 14th Doctor theme will be? I'm so psyched to see him again for the 60th anniversary special next year! Great suite of some of Murray Gold's best!
I feel like 10 had such a god complex, and that really shines through in his themes, they're so haunting and really reflect his time standing alone and realising, as he said, "the laws of time are mine, and they will obey me."
At first when I have seen 10th doctor I thought "omg, he's awful", but after few episodes I felt love to him. He was a tragic character, and episodes with him had amazing soundtrack. It's that what in 11th doctor is missing. Episodes with 11th just become adventure series without dramatic and climate from previous episodes.
The 10th doctor’s theme is most impactful. A chorus, the harmony, and a trumpet solo/soli. My second favorite is 11’s “I am the Doctor” and then 9’s theme. It just represents Grief, Regret, then hope and heroism.
So, all the discussion about Tennant somehow returning? I don't see it. But what I think could work, as a revisiting old faces bit, would be a regeneration back into Paul McGann. The man deserves some screen time. Though with Big Finish his legacy is probably larger than any other Doctor at this point.
Well Doomsday may have been mixed up into the 9th Doctor's Suite, not my fault they decided to release the soundtrack for season 1 AND season 2 iN THE SAME ALBUM, and IN THE COMPLETELY WRONG ORDER
You know what would utterly be a twist to Doctor Who? What if a episode started as any other, BUT! the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) get's hit on the head, shot, blacks out or something. But when he wakes up.....he's on the floor of the Ten's famous Tardis' floor. At first everything is just steamy but it all disperses, at first the Doctor just speaks aloud, eyes still blurry "Eh I knew it wasn't a dream.....everything wasn't timey wimey enough!" only then does he notice that his voice has changed, and that he's wearing his classical suit. Upon jumping up in absolute shock he see's that in the Tardis' reflection that he is still David Tennant, and that the Tardis console has opened up. Leading him to believe that he subconsciously channelled all of his regenerative energy into the Tardis. Would that work?
his regeneration doubled with theme they made for it in end of time part two made me well up everytime watch it. i love tenth doctor he is my all time favourite doctor he is absolutely AWESOME! eleven and four only come as close second and third favourites to him . brilliant actor too definitely deserved that special recognition award at the national television awards this year .

Supremacy962 Yeap :'( But I have seen 2 pre-screeners of the new series 8 (basically the first 2 episodes just not completely finished) and Peter is amazing as the doctor :)
Blakesy Machinima Just try watching classic who, i loved Tennant, but you can't beat the originals, i am sorry to say, but that is my own opinion
The music still gives me chills.I miss this time now.David is still the most wonderful. thank you for putting this together.
I was looking for this after rewatching turn left and hearing it play when you see him on a stretcher
This is awesome! I love it! Absolutely brilliant!
if you notice, the 10th doctor's theme is just a "regeneration" of the 9th doctor's theme
Tu mérite une statue en or massif a ton effigie ;) c'est juste genial !
Merci!
Ah parce qu'il est français ?! Je savais pas haha...
he's also my favorite doctor
Best doctor ever. Who agrees
The best doctor of all time.
YOU...ARE...NOT...ALONE...
"Is that the sort of man I am now, am I rude? Rude and not ginger."
David Tennant was great and even now i miss the voice he has because he never uses it. RIP 10th doctor
This channel deserves more subscribers.
I absolutely agree
He has good reason to have a god complex mind. He defeated the devil
I can't believe it's been 14 years since when David first started as the 10th Doctor... I miss him so much ;(
This made me cry for some reason 🤷🏾♀️
The 10th doctor’s theme is most impactful. A chorus, the harmony, and a trumpet solo/soli. My second favorite is 11’s “I am the Doctor” and then 9’s theme. It just represents Grief, Regret, then hope and heroism.
This is surprisingly good music to revise to...
6 1/2 years later and hearing Vale Decem still makes me cry :(
goodbye my doctor.
Props for including Vainglorious, people always forget the Master's themes and they're really good.
So, all the discussion about Tennant somehow returning? I don't see it. But what I think could work, as a revisiting old faces bit, would be a regeneration back into Paul McGann. The man deserves some screen time. Though with Big Finish his legacy is probably larger than any other Doctor at this point.
La scène de régénération...
La seule fois où j'ai ressenti à la suite une grande tristesse puis une grande joie.
Hello. Oh. New mouse, that's weird. Now where was I?
Ah that's right! RUclips!
How the hell can you not love this? How can you not love it!!!
at 11:43 you can actually feel your heart tear in half... "i dont want to go"
This picture is on my desktop. MMmmm what a yummy pic to stare at every day. My absolute favorite Doctor to this day.
I love you Tenth Doctor😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👏👏👏👏👏😍😍😍
I am listening to all these masterpieces. Knowing that we will have to see him go again 😢
WHERES DOOMSDAY?
Well Doomsday may have been mixed up into the 9th Doctor's Suite, not my fault they decided to release the soundtrack for season 1 AND season 2 iN THE SAME ALBUM, and IN THE COMPLETELY WRONG ORDER
+DVaderOfMusic you have really good music
in the ninth doctor suite, first plays in rose
I loved watching doctor who with my son truely great times seeing my son grow up thank you.
No, that would be terrible, Tennant was the best but annulate all The great work of Smith and Capaldi adventures...No!!
+DoomBringer IsMyName It would ruin doctor who, the doctor regenerates that's how it is
Just stop
his regeneration doubled with theme they made for it in end of time part two made me well up everytime watch it. i love tenth doctor he is my all time favourite doctor he is absolutely AWESOME! eleven and four only come as close second and third favourites to him . brilliant actor too definitely deserved that special recognition award at the national television awards this year .
