The thing about heroes is that the heroes never loose in the end. But the Doctor, he looses somethimes, he can't save everyone. In the end he looses everyone.
The Doctor has lost and gained so much, which is why it’s so dangerous when he’s alone. He forgets what matters, he forgets his heart(s). I think we should all keep his story in mind and follow the advice of his companions. ‘Be kind.’ and ‘Don’t travel alone.’

I love the voiceover from River in the end. She knew all of the doctors. Heard of or meet all his companions and saw so much pain, but in the end she always saw him smile, because his love for his companions is so much bigger, than the pain. It his companions that make him strong and the Doctor, because of what happened to them and because they loved the Doctor.

For many including me Dr. Who was never really about Science Fiction it was about values, about being the best you can be and putting others before yourself. Yes, exactly. He flies away for a while, but in the end he always finds someone. The other reason he HAS to find someone to travel with him is in this video: Donna tells him, the first time she sees him, to find someone, because she thinks that sometimes he needs someone to STOP him. She had understood him completely. Remember what happened when Ten, scared of dying, angry, furious, started to travel alone? The Time Lord Victorious and "Waters of Mars" happened. He becomes... Numb. And dangerous because of that. He is too old and has too much of a weight on him to be left alone for too long. The risk is for him to become an unforgiving god. Like in "A town called Mercy": "see, this is what happens when you travel alone for too long", Amelia tells him. Because she knows. And Clara knows too, when she tells him "I know what you're capable of". The Doctor can't be alone, he needs someone to keep him grounded, otherwise he'd become The Lonely God, the Beast or the Valeyard.

This is the real doctor. Not mad, insane, or even full of hatred but overcome with grief, pain, and suffering because he's seen friends, family and loved ones die in front of him while he watched. He's depressed and it's sad, he keeps trying to save people because he feels guilty of those deaths that he just watched. Thank you for reading this, I'm just rambling
He's hated and loved, he's despised and admired, he's not a hero nor a villain. He's just a man, a madman who wanted to die more than anyone else but he still wanted to live more than anyone else at the same time
I love the fact that the Doctor is depressed about all what happened in his life and lost so many people that mean to him but still kind no matter what.
One of the most interesting things about the Doctor is he used to have a family. He had a wife, children. His first companion was his Granddaughter, he was just being a cool Grandpa and going traveling with her. And now he's here. The Last Timelord. The saviour of the universe. He's not that father anymore, he's not that grandfather anymore. He's a hero who never wanted to be.
The doctor is in my eyes every human emotion we feel. Anger, love, empathy, hope, depression, etc etc. We are all our own story bad good pain. We are amazing just like the doctor.

Fantastic. You made me cry. I watched it again and cried again. When you think of it, us viewers are the companions who come and go. The Doctor is godlike and viewers come and go. I hope Doctor Who continues and that I can be watching good Doctor Who stories when it comes for my time to end. The Doctor will not be able to save me then but he would have been with me through the good times and the bad times of life. One can always turn to the Doctor and view his adventures as a comfort. The thing about heroes is that the heroes never loose in the end. But the Doctor, he looses somethimes, he can't save everyone. In the end he looses everyone.

The Doctor has lost and gained so much, which is why it’s so dangerous when he’s alone. He forgets what matters, he forgets his heart(s). I think we should all keep his story in mind and follow the advice of his companions. ‘Be kind.’ and ‘Don’t travel alone.’

I know that there are other people out there that understand Doctor Who isn’t about the monsters - it’s all about the man / woman and their relationship with their companions and themselves.

You want to see what proper acting looks like, just watch Catherine Tate in 'Turn Left'... THAT is how it's done! As for terrible writing, Peter Capalda had some pretty weak stories, but he made us watch him. Jodie made me drop Doctor Who forever. RIP (1963-2017)

I love the voiceover from River in the end. She knew all of the doctors. Heard of or meet all his companions and saw so much pain, but in the end she always saw him smile, because his love for his companions is so much bigger, than the pain. It his companions that make him strong and the Doctor, because of what happened to them and because they loved the Doctor.
Doctor who is just so powerful and I hope this new woman can provide the Same emotional highs and lows. I definitely love the dark side of him but how the light always shines through
Can't agree on the woman part, but that's what I love about the Doctor: his light side always shines, no matter how dark is the other one, he never gives in to it.
This video captures why we love this show. The Doctor's emotions and experiences bleeding through the script, resonating with us because we understand what he is going through. I hope in the future of Doctor Who we get series that come even close to what we've had in the past, otherwise quite frankly I believe the show will lose the essence of what made it a British treasure of television.

oh how much I miss what was the greatest show on television. The show that had so much heart and love. For many including me Dr. Who was never really about Science Fiction it was about values, about being the best you can be and putting others before yourself. All wrapped up into an awesome adventurous and exciting story.
The Doctor is the definition of strength. Strength to survive, to give, and to take. The strength to love unconditionally, and the strength to mourn. The strength to keep moving despite your own actions weighing you down. He is strength.

Here is the thing about the doctor they all tell him not to travel alone and he doesn’t listen not once cause he know that it will hurt when they leave
They're here to show him they're worth the heartbreak. Because living, feeling hurts, but the Doctor has proven again and again that emotions are the most beautiful thing there is.

Yes, exactly. He flies away for a while, but in the end he always finds someone. The other reason he HAS to find someone to travel with him is in this video:
Donna tells him, the first time she sees him, to find someone, because she thinks that sometimes he needs someone to STOP him. She had understood him completely. Remember what happened when Ten, scared of dying, angry, furious, started to travel alone? The Time Lord Victorious and "Waters of Mars" happened.
He becomes... Numb. And dangerous because of that. He is too old and has too much of a weight on him to be left alone for too long. The risk is for him to become an unforgiving god. Like in "A town called Mercy": "see, this is what happens when you travel alone for too long", Amelia tells him. Because she knows.
And Clara knows too, when she tells him "I know what you're capable of".
The Doctor can't be alone, he needs someone to keep him grounded, otherwise he'd become The Lonely God, the Beast or the Valeyard.

This is the real doctor. Not mad, insane, or even full of hatred but overcome with grief, pain, and suffering because he's seen friends, family and loved ones die in front of him while he watched. He's depressed and it's sad, he keeps trying to save people because he feels guilty of those deaths that he just watched.

One of the most interesting things about the Doctor is he used to have a family. He had a wife, children. His first companion was his Granddaughter, he was just being a cool Grandpa and going traveling with her. And now he's here. The Last Timelord. The saviour of the universe. He's not that father anymore, he's not that grandfather anymore. He's a hero who never wanted to be.
The doctor is in my eyes every human emotion we feel. Anger, love, empathy, hope, depression, etc etc. We are all our own story bad good pain. We are amazing just like the doctor.

When you think of it, us viewers are the companions who come and go. The Doctor is godlike and viewers come and go. I hope Doctor Who continues and that I can be watching good Doctor Who stories when it comes for my time to end. The Doctor will not be able to save me then but he would have been with me through the good times and the bad times of life. One can always turn to the Doctor and view his adventures as a comfort.

I still feel that the only difference between the Doctor and the Master is that, the Doctor has friends... without them he would be the Master (as seen on the Waters of Mars)
Mmmh, I don't think so. The Master is mad, yes, but the Doctor without friends doesn't become him. What we see in The Waters of Mars is a hint to the Valeyard, something far worse than the Master

I love this video, I like how you have mixed different parts of the series from the beginning to the end, although now you could make a video where the new regeneration of the doctor comes out. This video has made me remember very good moments watching Doctor Who, seeing how the doctor traveled in his time machine, the TARDIS. In my opinion, it is the best series in the world and I hope it never ends.
