I'm taking my front bumper off today, fender & flares getting trimmed and then if I can gather the courage, removing my rear bumper and cutting the bedsides lol. Great video! You've been a huge inspiration!
Awesome to hear man! The rear bumper is intimidating but once you do it you wont regret it.
@Drewsoffroadgarage I do have a question about running 35's though, when you ran 35's I didn't catch if you said you had a lift or not? I know you said you had the extended bump stops, you messed with the pinch weld and they were skinny 35's, I just finished taking off my front bumper, you think I could run 35's on it with stock suspension? You think I would need a level for the front?
I did have a lift. You should be able to run the 35s with no lift just depends on your offset
@@Drewsoffroadgarage I've got the stock 16" rims with +15 offset but with 1.5" wheel spacers which puts me at about -23 offset
@@rickymedina7563 that’s exactly what I’m running. I’m not sure exactly how it would fit with a wider tire though
Was running my stock tundra thru the desert and lost the skid plate the first 2 hours out there but these trucks take whoops really well
Love the upgrades!! Great video!
I’m running a Discount tire MB 16” Wheel w/ descent (+) size offset that allows for me to run 33” dura-tracs no rub. 3yrs running. My 02’ TRD sr5 came stock w/ the rear limited slip rear lock which is rare!
Great info! Thanks for the Skid plate upgrade
Awesome! Thank you!
I have a first gen tundra and would love to see how you built and mounted your winch plate and winch! Any info you can give on this mod? Looks incredible and very tucked away close to the truck. Really like your setup, and great video!
Thank you! For the most part all it is is the front bumper removed and I placed a harbor freight winch mount on top of it. I then drilled holes in the bumper reinforcement and the frame and bolted it down. I am actually planning on making a detailed video of how I did it soon! Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss it!
@@Drewsoffroadgarage Thanks, appreciate the info! And I did subscribe earlier today because I was hoping there would be a video on this eventually! Thanks man, cant wait
I’ve got the Mickey Thompson 255/85/17’s on method 17x8.5’s with king 2.5’s adjusted to 3” of lift and spc upper control arms the only place it rubbed was the pinch weld slight mods with heat and a hammer and it was all good.
i would love to see your build im trying to do the same do you have any pictures
Did you notice a big power loss?
Ya, that’s what Im wondering how is power loss? Ride comfort being load e? Are they pretty stiff?
I like the shirt, is it your merch for sale or where did you get it?
I got the shirt from www.1stgenoffroad.com/#/. I’ve been thinking about making first gen tundra merch just wasn’t sure if anybody would be interested
If you got a welder I could help you get MOVE front bumper with winch mount for the low man HMU
Thanks for the offer man. Unfortunately I don’t have a welder as of now
@@Drewsoffroadgarage True well should if you looked around could find one close
Where did you get your rock sliders?
They’re generic trail gear rock sliders
@@Drewsoffroadgarage do you happen to have a link you the ones you got?
