  • Making cute little candied roses from carrots, parsnips, or pretty much any other root vegetable you want is super easy! And people love them because they're all natural, and lower in sugar than most traditional carrot cake decorations. Plus, they're vegan and allergy-friendly!
All you need is your veggie of choice, water, sugar, and some practice.
Perfect to decorate carrot cake, carrot cheesecake, carrot cake bars, Easter cookies, or if you're my kids - just eat them as a delicious snack. Lol.
CANT FIND RAINBOW CARROTS? JUST ADD COLOR TO YOUR SUGAR SYRUP AND USE PARSNIPS! THEY'LL DYE WHATEVER COLOR YOU WANT!

Hi Meghan! How far in advance can I make these roses? How do I store them?
    Thanks!

I think that anything that would work for “zoodles” would work here! Might need to boil them a bit longer if they’re super starchy with no flex like sweet potato or butternut.

This is awesome 💛 I'm going to make these. Can we use toothpicks on thenroses to hold in place? Thanks for sharing. Stay safe 🌸

I’m glad you like them and are going to give them a try!!
As far as using toothpicks, they tend to just slide right down through them. Lol.
You can try to stick them with a little melted chocolate or buttercream, though.
