    Nice job, thinking back I'd guess that happened because you started making it whilst you didn't have enough of your modelling parts made yet as they were ongoing at the same time. You certainly set out to get them the same length as you were counting the pieces from the start. Shame the 3D printer can't keep up with your work rate 😂

    I'm very impressed you constructed that manifold and assembled it with lovely welds with flux core. The reason being that I am just now starting to progress practicing with flux core after using gas mig previously, but I would never have been confident enough to tackle such a lovely manifold as that. So congratulations and thank you so much for the video. In my retirement I'm also playing with paint spraying and all I need is warmer weather for that. But I do have an exhaust welding job to do on my Land rover, so this has helped me a lot, although my job is much simpler than yours. Thanks again.

    Nice work Dave great improvement to #1 & #2 headers proximity to the stat housing particularly if you get stuck stationary in traffic. (Also remember that the used air rushing past the headers from the electric radiator fan will also “be your friend” for that purpose on this occasion).

    Hi Dave. Ever considered using 42mm stainless corrugated waste pipe? Super easy to get identical length primaries, and it 'sets'. Used this on my Europa. Great videos, I'm learning lots.

  • @duggy788

    i would have thought unequal lengths would have given you a good torque spread .

    • @DavesGarageuk
      @DavesGarageuk  7 месяцев назад

      Possibly? I don't know the science fully, but I believe the closer you can get the primary pipes, the smoother it'll run, and according to the length, when the torque comes in, longer=higher revs....

    From where did you get the files for the 3D printed parts from? I will have to make something similar to my Duratec 2.5L for a Lotus 7 style car, though I have more room than you.

      @@DavesGarageuk , yea just now watched a couple of videos highlighting the same issue so will test mine asap and may get both working again. Thanks for the heads up.
