Most people recognise the flashy fast passages first, but I'm more impressed by the multistops and artificial harmonics that come afterwards. Those are actually harder to pull off right.
actually, i've found the opposite learning the piece. none of the stops are inconvenient, they're all very nice and tidy in simple positions. Artificial harmonics are also not a problem as well. They seem very flashy, but it's mostly just playing every note in tune with your first finger and adding the fourth above it. (Not saying these aren't tricky.) The fast parts on the other hand, are marked sautille. Sautille is a very demanding technique to pull off at this speed, and requires extremely precise bow control. It's not so much the notes are hard, but the bowing technique is very demanding. I really appreciate the fact that you pointed out many passages in the violin are much harder than they seem, and many times, they are, but in this specific piece, not so much.
For people saying theres a ton of rosin on the violin I think she does take proper care of her instrument when you reach that kind of skill at an instrument you know how to take care of it. I think she was just warming up before the performance so theres a bunch of rosin on it. It just shows how hard she works. :D
I literally came scrolling through comments to see if anyone said anything to help me figure out where I've heard Czardas before; at first I thought I'd heard it played by some neoclassical metal guitarist, but it turns out you gave me the correct answer, so thank you!!!
im going to be able to play this one day and one day i will come back to this comment and say i played it but i will work hard to be able to play this piece
Everytime I listened to this it reminded me of a song but I just couldn't remember. After a few days I remembered, it sounds like the beginning of a song from Lady Gaga called Alejandro.
Sameee i woke up this morning with the melody stuck in my head. I couldnt figure out the name of this piece but now, at 10:43 pm, i finally figured it out.
Violin teacher: Here, play this piece for competition in 4 months! Me: Oh sure just let me look it up and see what it sounds like. *Opens RUclips* Me: ........... Me: ..................................... Me: Sh*t.
This video has a lot of character: from the page-turning pianist to the emotions of the violinist--just fantastic! And, to add to that, the song is really pretty...and makes for a wonderful visual performance. Thank you for this introduction!
I accompanied my sister on this when she just finished music school in France. A simplified version I guess for me. My son was huming the melody this morning so I offered we listen to it on the way to school. That was brilliant 👏 The pianist had to catch up quite a few times, he did good 😊
I have never been a big fan of pop music but also don't know much about classical. I remember when I heard the song "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga I really loved it and I was extremely impressed by her ability to compose such a haunting melody. Took me over 10 years and a random two set violin video to realize she just took the melody from a guy named Monti. Bit disillusioning, as I really thought she was a genius. But this is extremely beautiful and I loved your interpretation a LOT. *Applause*
At 1:05 a SACRILEGIOUS power. She plays the melody before hitting the strings, that's I N T E R E S T I N G (However I think Jennifer is a great violinist)
I think that the Audio is just out of sync with the video, it happens quite a lot... and plus with all the rosin on the violin the bow probably isn't oiled 😋😂

I knew I couldn't be the only one here from Twoset... it's crazy to think how many more classical masterworks I know about now compared to before I started watching their videos!
Yo sé cuando una violinista es una virtuosa, no solo cuando puede tocar el Czardas de Monti sino cuando logra imprimirle su personal sentimiento a la melodía como en el caso de Jennifer Jeon
I've always been so jealous of a musician truly enjoying their craft and talent. I only but wished for that when I picked up guitar, to enjoy the play for myself. Except I just suck at it regardless...
The most amazing love melody... ever. I have listened to your rendition so many times I can't remember and I am afraid I will again and again... and again...
I am uncertain that there are enough words to describe your performance: superb, beautiful, brilliant, expressive. This recording is among the best (if not the best) of all I have heard; your virtuosity and expressiveness shined greatly. Your transitions from melancholy to joy were sublime, and I could see the passion throughout the performance. Bravo, and excellent job, Jennifer!
I wish people would stop all the negativity. This is a stunning performance by any measure. For those of you who are wont to criticize, where are your 1.6 million views and 187k subscribers? I thought not.

He just slapped that sheet music into another realm.

Facts, I wouldn't listen to this half of the times I have if it wasn't for the artificial harmonics
It took me the longest to learn that part

That's about 3months worth of rosin tho
You can also tell cuz of the faint sound on the strings
@@edoblack3159 Absolutely not 3 months worth of rosin. Maybe if you practice once a week.
beth I practice 2 hours a day every and i dont get this much rosin a week 😂😂
