"Dad, why is my sister's name Rose?" "Because your mom loves roses." "Oh, thanks dad." "No problem, F. Chopin : Nocturne in c sharp minor for violin and piano"
My father used to play the violin, very beautifully, I admired him. When my father died I was 10 years old, I didn’t cry on the day of his funeral, I couldn’t, somehow. When I turned 11 years old I started playing the violin to represent the tears I couldn’t let out that day, and give my late mourns. Now that I’m 16 years old, I finally cried while playing this piece, I cried like never before. This means so much to me, by the fact that these notes made me finally cry my father’s death after those years.
Its not about face. Pretentious people care about appearance when performing. Music is not about that. If I were a musician, I would be really pissed by comments like that.
I would put it differently. Her facial expression shows how well she knows the piece. It's a tribute to her understanding, as not only a musician, but a human as well. There are many people in the world capable of playing this piece without fail, probably thousands. However there are only a few who truly understands the intended way the composer would have it played, and who are able to play it as such. This duo does, and thus the message is conveyed accordingly. The great classical artists are not the skillfull ones, who practise 10+ hours every day. Rather the ones who live and breathe it, those who submerge themselves in it, and let their souls do the playing. Then again. What do I know. I'm just a random comment on the internet ;)
I normally never cry when listening to music, except for when that specific song has a deeper, personal meaning for me, for instance when it triggers a memory. I was watching the movie John Wick 4 today and this song is somewhere at the beginning. I immediately stopped the movie and looked it up as I knew the piano version (I used to play too) but not the one with violin. Well, I had tears streaming down my face, for no reason except for the music itself. I must have listened to it 10 times in a row. This is truly otherworldly beautiful, I still have goosebumps. I'm turning into my dad I think, since he told me that he sometimes cries when listening to classical music and at the time I thought that while I understood, I never had that happen to me. Now it did happen to me and now I truly understand. Turning into my dad is not such a bad thing, he is a good man

The way she plays, the violin's sound... it's just from another world. So many feelings expressed beautifully, congratulations. Thank you for letting us get in touch with this marvellous music.
oh... this is so sweet. thank you, Yolanda!!!
THIS IS POWERFUL! You can just see the energy she puts into her notes nd strokes ! AMAZING 🙏🏻
I realised i heard this song 6 years ago in a movie, "karate kid". Listening to this brought me such joy- When I first heard it, the sounds were too loud for me at the time, now, it's simply soothing and a joy to hear.
Posthumous Chopin Nocturne in C-Sharp-Minor.
Not a "song".
It's classical music. Not American Idol.
@@alexeicogan4733 We are all here to enjoy it. It doesn't matter what we call it as long as we listen to it.
@@Jenty28 he is right tho, you might call it "piece"
those expressions aren’t just emotion, she is one with the music and it’s so obviously flowing throughout her.
The best version on RUclips for violin ❤
To feel the emotion of every note from this violinist deserves acknowledgment.
And then there's Justin Bieber's video with over 1 billion views. That just shows how small a number of people actually enjoy good music like this.
haha I'm happy you enjoy this music:)
This has 2 million views now though lol
B WebStudios He said 1 *Billion*.
@@demytraprojects yeah 2 mil is NO WHERE NEAR 1 Bill
Those are called opinions.
it’s one thing to play well but another thing to play with such emotions
Thank you youtube for bringing this back to my feed. Please like this comment if you see, I don't want to forget this. She is so good at violin. Thank you Gemma Violin. This performance was an experience rather than video. I can't thank you enough.
I remember the anime "Your Lie in April". About musicians
That makes me cry😭😭😭
Same i had goosebumps by watching this video
Oof
the fact that we can feel what she’s playing IS AWESOME I LOVE IT
If my soul had a song this would be its tune...
lovely performance :)
She is an absolute class act. Ive listened to many versions of this but none come close. Bravo.
at the beginning i said "this could sound nice, but... that's it..." 2:51 OMFG SHE'S GREAT!
Sergio David Silva Chaparro haha thank you, Sergio!
I came across this music while watching the snow falling one day. I'm always listening now🎼
Enserio me encantó tu presentación.(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
As a pianist who has played this piece, I can say that this just hits different. Its sooo gorgeous!
I just wanna say: my heart, my eyes and my soul are crying together
Incredible.. Thanks for so much feeling. You should have thousands of subscribers here in RUclips.
Every time I hear this I cry like a baby ...
I liked the piano version but this duet is so much better. It left me with intense chills and made me cry so hard it's so beautiful.
Rockstar 😢😢♥️♥️
*This performance is a true testament to the power of music. It has the ability to evoke such strong emotions within the listener.*
i loved it ...i really love the piano but this time I could feel the beatifull sound of the violin
I don't think I heard something so beautiful in my life. Just listening to this adds a few minutes to one's life, postpones the formation of wrinkles and gives you less gray hair.
i’m tearing up... the talent..... the passion
