To me there's a very simple, always present emotional tension in Chopin's music between "hope" and "disappointment". Neither emotion ever has the final word.
I can never get enough of Chopin's piano compositions. The way his music captures the delicate nuances of human emotion is nothing short of magical. ✨🎹
You should listen to the sitarist Roopa Panesar. She too is magical, as is Anoushka Shankar, Ravi Shankar's daughter. ruclips.net/video/BCh66vA5H7A/видео.html
Believe me, geniuses come to this world as a showcase. They all died young after leaving something very special to we, stupid people who lived long and suffered on earth!
@@Floating_Lotus I would tend to agree. The "stupid," if we want to sink to using such an epithet, would be the ones who would dismiss this music and say it was junk or was boring. They would lack the ability, desire, or both, to appreciate the beauty of it or its intracacies. We like to think that music like this is universal but I believe experience and reality show otherwise.
I am in pain lately and find sleep difficult so I come here with headphones to share something with with someone until morning thank you for joining me I appreciate your company
Chopin's music is pure emotion transcending keys - each note tells a story of passion, melancholy, and profound beauty. A true genius whose piano compositions resonate with the heart.
An old friend once told me something that gave me great comfort. Something he read. He said Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin never died. The simply became music ....
They played this song collection for my daughter in the NICU. Calmed her right down and let her sleep well. She’s home now and still loves listening to it.
When i was in hospital recovering from many operations as a young child, Pachelbel - Canon In D Major ruclips.net/video/NlprozGcs80/видео.html was what really helped me relax and increase my pain tolerance. Well, listening to Pachelbel - Canon on repeat plus a meditation technique my mum taught me which she learned I think from a book by a lady named Betty Shine. Its all about creating a safe place in your mind where its calm and you have pain killers that you can take. For me, I walk down a well lit corridor, the walls are a nice calming pink and the soft carpet was an orangey-red colour, (I'm a guy but for me, pink walls are calming), I walk up a spiral staircase and at the top is a circular room. Around the edge of half of that room is a couch, in front of the couch is one of those gumball machines, its an old fashion lightpole shape, its red with a glass dome top. Within that dome was not gumballs but instead all different coloured capsule pain killers. I can turn the coin slot and have as many pain killers as I need and sit back and relax in my calming space. Its a placebo effect but for me it really helped reduce the real pain medicine I needed, increasing my pain tolerance. I can still picture my room 30+ years later and I've used it many times in my life so far and will no doubt use it again. This article explains the technique in a very similar way. I hope it helps anyone out there in need of a slice of peace. aidanjreid.com/mind-medicine-room/

I have always wondered what Chopin would have gone on to achieve had he had the health and longevity of Liszt. What he left us with is absolutely phenomenal !
It was useful to have explanations about Chopin's life and pieces. I'm honest to say that they added to me important information about unknown details. Thank you very much.
So true. All of history is speculative now that we are finding out a lot of the lies we've been told. But we find truth only in the music and the passion expressed in the music and that gives us comfort.
After taking a bath to this music, I read your comment. I am now on my balcony enjoying the bliss that is music and sunshine. Thank you for your comment. I am in Seattle USA.

Oh! I’m feeling sooo blessed to be listening this Classical Oasis on this rainy day!!! Sooo happy to appreciate to everyone, even to some person hurt me, they were unintentional put me in this free calm heaven. 🙏🏿
Whenever I feel so tense and disturbed, I listen to Chopin’s collection; I get back to normalcy and I am pleased whatever happens thereafter! So powerful a music could help sooth everything!!!
Music can be incredibly beautiful without words and in that case, it does become a universal language of emotions, pure and simple emotions played in notes that fill the soul!
Chopin is transcendental in the emotive electricity of his compositions. His opus magnum for me is Nocturne in D major, Opera 27, No 2. It has the properties of an appeal to raw emotions just as much as its therapeutic qualities take the composition beyond the realms of humanity to some celestial or more appropriately, ethereal heights. Chopin was simply the best as far as lyrical serenades are concerned.
What I, as a retired classical violinist truly appreciate, is that the intervals between these nocturnes in this video are short. So one can truly absorbe the different frequencies of keys. They all have their own special atmosphere one can only fathom after a full musical life. I genuinely like this kind of musical approach. You got yourself another subscriber. Much appreciation and compliments from Amsterdam. ❤
Thank you so much for the sub! I appreciate the fact you noticed that having that short interval was intentional for the very reason you mentioned. Thanks for listening!
A friend had a straververious violin. The first time I picked it up I played it perfectly and on key Never touched a violin before. I am handicap with a head injury. I have cognitive problems But I was told I have ability to hear perfect pitch. I dream full musicals. I guess I'm a savant in music 😎
I agree with you. I hear that at concerts a lot, they wait too long between movements and you have to hear everybody coughing their lungs out and the mood is gone.

It's October 2024.No matter how many times I listen to this, I never get tired of it. I love Chopin and these pieces. They are some of the most beautiful pieces ever ever written and what beautiful interpretations of Chopin's nocturnes ...balm for the soul ....
Witam.. Uwielbiam Chopina , jego muzyka wyzwala we mnie najgłębsze uczucia. Czuję w niej polskie niebo , pachnącą wiosną ziemię, zieloną trawę, nawet przymrozki wiosenne. Czuję i słyszę pszczoły wśród kwitnących jabłoni. Muzyka Chopina jest wszystkim co powoli tracimy....
As a three year child I'd lay on our over sized flat sofa and while listening to what later Ilearned was Chopin. For those hours i would become a heavenly body. I knew I was three whatever that was,no brother yet. I knew I was bigger then I could properly describe but most of all I knew I was in love with these sounds. The occasional pop of the record and some back ground sounds of a pot in the kitchen accompanied me through the wonderful journey I drifted on. Will those feelings ever come back for me? I think not but I pray some where and time another three year old will be so lucky as I.

Make me think of Melancholic nostalgia felt in old age or near the end of one's life, remembering all the pleasure as well as the pain, and still being grateful to have had ALL the experiences and memories...
The beautiful, poetic, sad tunes of Chopin’s music gave me a safe place of refuge from the global political, economic and social chaos! I truly believe Chopin is very talented and was experiencing difficult social and political turmoils during that time too!
Excellent choice of words, organization, clarity and impressive description of Chopin’s feelings, life and masterpieces! I have been viewing this video many times!
Chopin is my favourite composer since I was a child and eventually took piano lessons for three years... However, the so called lengthy SOLFEJO studues made ne give up...I am really sorry, sunce then I love most Cassical Piano Composers but not only, I also love classical pieces with piano and violin or cello or harp or othe melodic instrument. Since then I became adicted, so to speak, to most CLASSICAL MUSIC. I love music, it is my Company and my Best Friend.
GRACIAS.!!
Thank you so much for presenting Chopin in this way to us. A brilliant way of divulging his life tales. Beautiful renditions of his Nocturnes . A most appreciative listener. ❤❤❤❤
Bach lives forever. My dad held Bach music up to my mother's stomach every single day of her pregnancy, and I was born in 1978 with music before speaking. Grew up playing the flute thanks to Bach and majored in music education thanks to Bach. It lives on in our memories. Forever.
Is this a misplaced comment? I say this with total objectivity because this video is not about Bach but about Chopin. These two musicians lived in two different centuries and places and I can't find any connection between them except they were both masters of their own art form.
The air in my family home was always filled with the smell of paper. Between shelves filled to the brim with court documents, law books and thick collections of recipes , I would sit and listen to Chopin. My mother, who lived and breathed law , saw me - her professional traditions. However, fate had other plans- instead of childhood I was most drawn to the world of music. I always loved Chopin.
Great thing that here's info about these masterworks I listen often as I am awake in the nights. Usually I listen these from c-cassettes that has been recorded from vinyl. So this sound, even it's digitally shrinked is a great akternative , after all.
I love Chopin. And these are my go to music genre when I need to calm my spinning mind and at the same time concentrate on something for a while. The AI generated and human edited text and art allow me to look at something interesting and get back to work. Honestly, it is almost medicinal for ADHD. I like your others as well. If you are the performer, Bravo!
Thank you for watching/listening, happy to hear the medicinal effects it has. I’m working on a couple more videos in this format with some very talented pianists so stay tuned for more!

Believe me, geniuses come to this world as a showcase. They all died young after leaving something very special to we, stupid people who lived long and suffered on earth!
yes, but geniuses have eased our suffering...
Speak for yourself i'm not stupid at all. Love and Peace ❤🙏
They ALL died young? That’s preposterous.
Goosebumps all over my body. I grew up with Chopin as my mother was a classical pianist. This is heaven for me...
Me too. I used to lay under her grand piano and feel it while she played.

Chopin's nocturnes have a way of relaxing my mind, and taking it to a faraway place full of peace.....the man was a genius.

Those loved by the gods die young.
He will live forever through his music

Me too...they loved each other and watched Paganini live and embarrassed it
Sublime...this is possibly the most complete Chopin's Nocturne collection. and possible the best tracks.
I agree. I would love to know the pianists name..
How it's possible to hear it and not to cry...I don't know why I'm crying, what's those feelings are happiness or sadness😢

This is a brilliant comment 😊
Hear, hear, 🥂!

Whenever I feel so tense and disturbed, I listen to Chopin’s collection; I get back to normalcy and I am pleased whatever happens thereafter! So powerful a music could help sooth everything!!!
Totally....music is the universal language
Music can be incredibly beautiful without words and in that case, it does become a universal language of emotions, pure and simple emotions played in notes that fill the soul!
Fall in love with this music since I was little kid Now I’m 54 years old and still listening God Bless you ❤

Well said, couldn’t agree more!
I also agree with you wholeheartedly. It has been my favorite of Chopin’s nocturnes forever!

The first time I picked it up I played it perfectly and on key
Never touched a violin before. I am handicap with a head injury. I have cognitive problems
But I was told I have ability to hear perfect pitch. I dream full musicals. I guess I'm a savant in music

It's October 2024.No matter how many times I listen to this, I never get tired of it. I love Chopin and these pieces. They are some of the most beautiful pieces ever ever written and what beautiful interpretations of Chopin's nocturnes ...balm for the soul ....
I love that he composed so often in the minor key! Even in his major key nocturnes, there are bits of minor key here and there.
What a beautiful spacy, relaxed, romantic, melancholic but clear play of the Chopin highlights!
Agree.
Witam..
Uwielbiam Chopina , jego muzyka wyzwala we mnie najgłębsze uczucia. Czuję w niej polskie niebo , pachnącą wiosną ziemię, zieloną trawę, nawet przymrozki wiosenne. Czuję i słyszę pszczoły wśród kwitnących jabłoni.
Muzyka Chopina jest wszystkim co powoli tracimy....
Thank you so much!

The pianist is absolutely wonderful. His expression is superb. The most difficult of the Nocturnes by Chopin seem not to be too hard for him.
If i could go back in time the first thing i would do is find chopin so i could hear him play his music the way he envisioned it.
It doesn't exist "best" nocturnes...
They're all perfect.

Thank you for this precious presentation of Chopin's Nocturnes throughout his life.
