I am a 60 year old American woman from Fort Worth, Texas and I have been listening to classical music since I was a child. I learned to enjoy it by myself , all by myself. Unfortunately , even now I have few friends with whom I cant sit and listen. But those few with whom I can share are such a joy. Chopin's nocturnes are my absolute favorite pieces. I love Chopin ...

It really is heavenly! Music transcends language and so affects the heart, mind, body, and soul. Chopin is one of my favorite composers of all time. His Nocturne in C# Minor is one of the first I learned in college. I still love it. To this day, it reminds me of a much happier time in my life before a serious MVA devastated and altered my life in so many ways.

It is crazy to think that people waited years and spent small fortunes on listening to certain pieces of classical music maybe two or three times in their entire lives, and that the lower classes probably never heard any at all. And yet here we are, able to listen to the entire repository of human composition with a few flicks of the finger whenever we please.

When i was in hospital recovering from many operations as a young child, Pachelbel - Canon In D Major ruclips.net/video/NlprozGcs80/видео.html was what really helped me relax and increase my pain tolerance. Well, listening to Pachelbel - Canon on repeat plus a meditation technique my mum taught me which she learned I think from a book by a lady named Betty Shine. Its all about creating a safe place in your mind where its calm and you have pain killers that you can take. For me, I walk down a well lit corridor, the walls are a nice calming pink and the soft carpet was an orangey-red colour, (I'm a guy but for me, pink walls are calming), I walk up a spiral staircase and at the top is a circular room. Around the edge of half of that room is a couch, in front of the couch is one of those gumball machines, its an old fashion lightpole shape, its red with a glass dome top. Within that dome was not gumballs but instead all different coloured capsule pain killers. I can turn the coin slot and have as many pain killers as I need and sit back and relax in my calming space. Its a placebo effect but for me it really helped reduce the real pain medicine I needed, increasing my pain tolerance. I can still picture my room 30+ years later and I've used it many times in my life so far and will no doubt use it again. This article explains the technique in a very similar way. I hope it helps anyone out there in need of a slice of peace. aidanjreid.com/mind-medicine-room/

Chopin is transcendental in the emotive electricity of his compositions. His opus magnum for me is Nocturne in D major, Opera 27, No 2. It has the properties of an appeal to raw emotions just as much as its therapeutic qualities take the composition beyond the realms of humanity to some celestial or more appropriately, ethereal heights. Chopin was simply the best as far as lyrical serenades are concerned.

What I, as a retired classical violinist truly appreciate, is that the intervals between these nocturnes in this video are short. So one can truly absorbe the different frequencies of keys. Much appreciation and compliments from Amsterdam. ❤

As a three year child I'd lay on our over sized flat sofa and while listening to what later Ilearned was Chopin. For those hours i would become a heavenly body. I knew I was three whatever that was,no brother yet. I knew I was bigger then I could properly describe but most of all I knew I was in love with these sounds. The occasional pop of the record and some back ground sounds of a pot in the kitchen accompanied me through the wonderful journey I drifted on. Will those feelings ever come back for me? I think not but I pray some where and time another three year old will be so lucky as I.

The air in my family home was always filled with the smell of paper. Between shelves filled to the brim with court documents, law books and thick collections of recipes , I would sit and listen to Chopin. My mother, who lived and breathed law , saw me - her professional traditions. However, fate had other plans- instead of childhood I was most drawn to the world of music. I always loved Chopin.

Great thing that here's info about these masterworks I listen often as I am awake in the nights. Usually I listen these from c-cassettes that has been recorded from vinyl. So this sound, even it's digitally shrinked is a great akternative , after all.

I love Chopin. And these are my go to music genre when I need to calm my spinning mind and at the same time concentrate on something for a while.
The AI generated and human edited text and art allow me to look at something interesting and get back to work. Honestly, it is almost medicinal for ADHD.
I like your others as well. If you are the performer, Bravo!

Thank you for watching/listening, happy to hear the medicinal effects it has. I’m working on a couple more videos in this format with some very talented pianists so stay tuned for more!

Ja nie wiem, jakim dobrym pianista trzeba być, albo mieć wykwintne nerwowe tiki, żeby wykonać, grać te dzieła! Chopin, nieporownywalny do nikogo! 💜 Wielkie dzięki za udostępnienie słuchania 🥀! Wspaniałe dzieła muzyczne!
