11 of the very best Chopin Nocturnes performed by Artem Tenkeli. Learn about the stories, inspirations and history behind the music, visually told through AI generated story art. I used ChatGPT as the basis for the information, however because the information can be wildly exaggerated or inaccurate, I have fact checked it against Wikipedia and several other sources. If you notice anything incorrect (aside from speculations/legends that have been noted), please do leave a comment. In researching this video, I found many inconsistencies with dates, persons and references so I am sure there is a lot of room for debate. The Nocturnes are considered to be some of Chopin's finest work and I sincerely hope you enjoy learning while you listen to these performances of what I consider to be the best nocturnes.

    *Chat GPT Corrections*
    • The quote from Franz Liszt about the "flower between two chasms" was actually about the 2nd movement of the moonlight sonata, not the Nocturne in D♭ major.
    • Nocturne in C minor, Op. 48, No. 1 may not have been based on Święty Boże, this fact seems highly speculative and is likely an exaggerated fact generated from Chat GPT.
    • Chopin would not have been affected by Mickiewicz passing, Chopin died before Mickiewicz did in 1855.
    • Nocturne in C-sharp minor is Op. Posth., B. 49 not B. 108
Thanks to those who commented with the corrections!

To me there's a very simple, always present emotional tension in Chopin's music between "hope" and "disappointment". Neither emotion ever has the final word.

@@carriedomino1139 I know, Carrie. The human experience is mysterious, unfathomable and difficult. Doggies especially have a way to touch us deeply, and perhaps even more so than humans can. Their innocence and unconditional love move us so deeply. Ponder how Chopin's soul somehow remains and speaks to us. If that's not divine magic, I don't know what is. Let his music help heal you. Thank you for sharing, Carrie ❤

@@gachadiamond2620 Yes, there's a tragic element to life that's inescapable. Some very bright, gifted men and women die in the prime of life, and never reach their full potential. There is a bitter sweetness to their work, as a result. Schubert's Unfinished Symphony is an example of this tragedy.

When i was in hospital recovering from many operations as a young child, Pachelbel - Canon In D Major ruclips.net/video/NlprozGcs80/видео.html was what really helped me relax and increase my pain tolerance. Well, listening to Pachelbel - Canon on repeat plus a meditation technique my mum taught me which she learned I think from a book by a lady named Betty Shine. Its all about creating a safe place in your mind where its calm and you have pain killers that you can take. For me, I walk down a well lit corridor, the walls are a nice calming pink and the soft carpet was an orangey-red colour, (I'm a guy but for me, pink walls are calming), I walk up a spiral staircase and at the top is a circular room. Around the edge of half of that room is a couch, in front of the couch is one of those gumball machines, its an old fashion lightpole shape, its red with a glass dome top. Within that dome was not gumballs but instead all different coloured capsule pain killers. I can turn the coin slot and have as many pain killers as I need and sit back and relax in my calming space. Its a placebo effect but for me it really helped reduce the real pain medicine I needed, increasing my pain tolerance. I can still picture my room 30+ years later and I've used it many times in my life so far and will no doubt use it again. This article explains the technique in a very similar way. I hope it helps anyone out there in need of a slice of peace. aidanjreid.com/mind-medicine-room/

What I, as a retired classical violinist truly appreciate, is that the intervals between these nocturnes in this video are short. So one can truly absorbe the different frequencies of keys. They all have their own special atmosphere one can only fathom after a full musical life. I genuinely like this kind of musical approach. You got yourself another subscriber. Much appreciation and compliments from Amsterdam. ❤

A friend had a straververious violin. The first time I picked it up I played it perfectly and on key
Never touched a violin before. I am handicap with a head injury. I have cognitive problems

Chopin is transcendental in the emotive electricity of his compositions. His opus magnum for me is Nocturne in D major, Opera 27, No 2. It has the properties of an appeal to raw emotions just as much as its therapeutic qualities take the composition beyond the realms of humanity to some celestial or more appropriately, ethereal heights. Chopin was simply the best as far as lyrical serenades are concerned.

However, the so called lengthy SOLFEJO studues made ne give up...I am really sorry, sunce then I love most Cassical Piano Composers but not only, I also love classical pieces with piano and violin or cello or harp or othe melodic instrument. Since then I became adicted, so to speak, to most CLASSICAL MUSIC. I love music, it is my Company and my Best Friend.
