I decided to learn violin. I'll turn 60 years this June. It's never too late. Although, I play accordion, guitar, mandolin and piano but no so good as the first three, I believe violin will not be so scary. I have graduate Musical HS back in late 70's so reading of notes is not a problem to me. I ordered student violin and can't wait to start. Monty's Csardas is one of priorities! How far I'm going to make, will see!! Wish me luck!!
I was 60 when I picked up the violin and I said I want to learn this. Almost everyone said " are you kidding ?" No I was not kidding. I am 70 now and I play violin to the best I can. I enjoy it and I really don't care what anyone says. Its fun, challenging and you never be getting tired of playing it. I say John Doe , go for it you be good.
Thank You for your support. It's been a two months since a posted my comment. The violin arrived the same day. Very soon I realized that the piece I ordered needs to be replaced. Simply I grew up and needed better. I'm still no close to Czardas but figured that the violin is not so scary. It's going better than expected. Violin I bought (Carlo Robelli) sounds very nice. Let's have a fun!
John Doe I graduated musical Highschool in Romania, but I almost quit music.I just started to play violin again. The last piece I learned was Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, and now I started to practice again.I also bought a guitar and started to learn how to play it.Because of the music theory, and the experience with playing the violin I find it easier to learn.I am playing the Prelude from Bach's Suite no 1 on my guitar now.I also played the piano in high school, but I never had enough money to buy a piano or an electrical piano.I only have a keyboard with 5 octaves, but maybe I'll.manage to buy a professional one in the future.
When I was young I wanted to learn to play the violin. No one in my family played anything. My school teacher said nothing to me about having my violin 'set-up' and I eventually gave up my lessons because it hurt too mad. Turns out the strings were set woo high and there was no way I could build up toughness in my fingertips to fight that height. Find a professional who works on violins. It will be worth any price.
My 18 month old saw a violin in one of her books, and I pulled this up to show her what a violin sounds like. She was captivated. I know that the emotional impression will stay with her.
What if she actually wants to learn to play one , what then ? My mother showed me a French horn one day , next thing she knew I was winning college level French horn completions in middle school . A LOT of time and money .
@@doughoward6401 But I'm sure the experience of playing music and succeeding was worth the time and money, no? But, if she learns to play and blesses our house with beautiful music, that would be enough for me.

My hungarian Grandmother died last year (94). The funeral speech was..hm.... but then as a last song, my uncle played this. And truely: This was a true reminder of her life and the way she lived.
Today passed away my grandmother's sister, the last of them and I remembered all their childhood stories about the life after War World II.. My grandmother died a long time ago but hearing this I feel that Hungarian part of us.. And yes, this music reflects so well her nature and the story.. It's quite special that I found again this song today of all days.. 💜
I regrett I cannot give more than JUST ONE thumb up ! I've listened dozens of Csardas executions, and this is incomparable to anyother one. I've not seen many more videos from Nancy, and I regret it very much. Please... tell me she continues playing violin....
Milan Petovich, I am 73 years old and only started the violin 2 years ago. I know I will never sound like this young lady. But music is more than that. As bad as I am I have found my own playing is a great way to deal with the stresses life gives us.

She plays so beautifully. If there weren't people taking her picture for this video and she was by herself I bet all the animals would show up to listen.
Um if there were no people recording her she wouldn’t be on RUclips. You would have to track down the exact girl from the video and put her in the exact same spot to play exactly as good as the video, and not record the whole thing to test your theory. And we still wouldn’t know because you didn’t have proof. 😹
Una musica che parte dall'umiltà, per offrire note di alto prestigio e per incantare l'udito degli ascoltatori, in una poesia di alto profilo. Bravissima la violinista.

Magnificent violin performance by Nancy Webb and superb mix with piano by Liam Webb. Thank you very much for putting together such a wonderful video! This video truly is a wonderful treat to my eyes, ears, and emotions~ ^_^
BRAVO Nancy Webb! You're an absolute genius! For such a young age on the Violin, it is phenomenal to see you handle Czardas as if it's like one learning their ABC's! Wow! You have excited this old man to pick up his violin and try to play along with you - No luck, but fun trying! Thanks a million for showing everyone your magnificent talent! Oh, and yes...your whole family enlightens the world to the most beautiful music ever heard on God's green earth!
Lovely in every regard. The music and Performance reaches down deeply into my soul bringing Joy and wonderful thanks to God for Music, its emotional impact and the beauty of the young lady and her excellent performance.
A timeless work, and this is a laudable interpretation that brings with it everything that is able to shake my soul !!! what to say: I entered inside and stayed there. I don't know how to explain but I got so excited ... Long live the music, long live the great musicians who give us new dreams !!!
I can't help it but being a Violin aficionado, I have to listen to Nancy ever time I hear this Monti Zcardas (sic) as it reminds me of her talent on the violin that spills over so much, that one thinks she is the only musician ever, to play the strings for this amazing tune! God Bless Nancy and the whole Webb family!
What! Are you saying she is the only musician to ever play the strings to this tune? Wow..... I have to say she is like the next Jascha Heifetz as far as feelings are concerned. What do you think? As you are a Violin aficionado. I am a Piano aficionado, so I'd have to ask you your opinion regarding this.
philipp wilkendorf I left because I didn't know whether I should have continued after my dad's mother had a heart attack. She inspired me to start since she was a former violinist who played through most of her life and often spoke about how beautiful the violin sounds over the phone when we had the chance to talk with one another. I thought I could make her pround if I started playing the violin and I was glad that I could hear her squealing out of joy once I told her that I began taking violin lessons. She helped me with learning how to position one's self when playing and what I could do differently to improve myself which made me very happy. That was until one day in the early morning where I was practicing did I hear my dad yell from my parent's room to pleass stop playing. I was shocked because he loved being reminded of what his mom did in her youth and I often played some of her favorites. I went to my parent's room and found my dad crying and my mother consoling him and I asked what happened. The moment they said that my grandmother passed away in her sleep, I immediately put away my violin. I couldn't have it remind my father and I that we lost one of our most precious people in our lives. Even when I tried to go back, I didn't have the heart to continue when my father was at the brink of tears when he heard me or any other person play. He tells me it's okay to continue if I really want to, but I simply cannot when he loses a bit if his smile when he hears the sound of the violin.
Oh my God so beautiful I could listen to this endlessly for the rest of my life. This motivates me to practice the violin until I can hopefully play half as good as this!

Hey, anna.825, user-ck4sn6pw1f, if you guys keep this up we are going to have to learn some Russian, ha, ha, and that's quite all right!!
Magnificent violin performance by Nancy Webb and superb mix with piano by Liam Webb. Thank you very much for putting together such a wonderful video! This video truly is a wonderful treat to my eyes, ears, and emotions~ ^_^
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed! :)
How beautifully played, thank you very much from Switzerland
BRAVO Nancy Webb! You're an absolute genius! For such a young age on the Violin, it is phenomenal to see you handle Czardas as if it's like one learning their ABC's! Wow! You have excited this old man to pick up his violin and try to play along with you - No luck, but fun trying! Thanks a million for showing everyone your magnificent talent! Oh, and yes...your whole family enlightens the world to the most beautiful music ever heard on God's green earth!
She was 18 when this was made. What do u mean young also i am 11 and playing harder pieces than this better.
The classical soloists can play harder pieces when they are younger

A timeless work, and this is a laudable interpretation that brings with it everything that is able to shake my soul !!! what to say: I entered inside and stayed there. I don't know how to explain but I got so excited ... Long live the music, long live the great musicians who give us new dreams !!!
Es esplendorosamente belleza de interpretación, lo mejor que yo he escuchado en violín. Felicidades a la intérprete.
I could listen to this tune forever, I can't describe how I feel when I hear it. The harmony between the violin and the piano is amazing. 💙💙🎶
My favorite violin solo. You brought me back and improved my understanding of how to play this song.

Watching this made me want to play violin again 😔😢 Beautiful music 😁
why you left it?
Alfred F. Jones same i left the violin because i really can't play it at all so i just gave up
Alfred F. Jones I left it for RUclips And haven't looked back since
philipp wilkendorf I left because I didn't know whether I should have continued after my dad's mother had a heart attack.
Alfred F. Jones :(
Que música tan más bella, excelente interpretación.
Starting the day with this beautiful girl playing the violín wonderful music blessings
Oh my God so beautiful I could listen to this endlessly for the rest of my life. This motivates me to practice the violin until I can hopefully play half as good as this!
