When he was twelve,
Only his thoughts, which he kept to himself
He didn’t have, a place to play
A friend to call, or a word to say
But he had hope,
That one day he’d fly
Over the rainbow, up through the sky
He was alone,
He didn’t have much
And all that he had, he couldn’t touch
He lay awake,
All night through
This was his world, no one else knew,
Nothing to fear,
Nothing to hide,
Nothing but stars, to care as he cried
But he had hope,
That one day he’d own
A flashing (white) horse, to carry him home
And in his hand he felt a stone,
That’s all he had, and he was alone
But he had wish,
That one day he’d fly
Over the wall, up to the sky
He was just one,
Who never grew old,
On a list of names, upon the road

Most beautiful piece of music ever made.
You did this so beautifully. What an absolute wonder tribute and memorial to those who were taken from this earth. I know they are looking down with much love

Whenever I listen to this music..I can't help but cry... Randomly all the heart wrenching scenes of this movie keep coming back. God lord save us, all the victim's soul may rest in peace. We are so lucky that we hadn't born in that time.
Whoever reading my post may God bless you always 💕
The Violin is crying, the wounds of the heart to deep to be expressed in words !
When Steven Spielberg first showed John Williams a cut of this movie, Williams was so moved he had to take a walk outside for several minutes to collect himself. Upon his return, he told Spielberg he deserved a better composer. Spielberg replied, "I know, but they're all dead."
The violin is heartbreaking... Just so many emotions.
Gives me spine chills and goosebumps every time I hear this. It's like all the perished souls are crying out in unison" this is our song, we beseech you , do not forget us , we are still here with you all, our music stirs your hearts" .
Hauntingly beautiful, like the sounds of weeping, sobbing & crying angels were ever slowly, slowly, slowly absorbing, occupying & piercing your soul...
There are certain instruments that are able to bring out emotions in some that they never knew possible. I feel sorrow and devastation. A feeling of alone and abandonment from this song. Couldnt have been composed or played more beautifully then this.
A stunning composition beautifully performed. It is sad and emotional but so powerful. One of the finest pieces of music ever composed in my view.
My grandfather was killed in WWII and my father committed suicide outside a camp when I was 11. Hearing this makes my heart bleed.
😢
Omg god bless you

Nancy's performance really brings me to the emotion of the movie.
inspiring, beautiful ... I don't know if it's just me. I can feel the sadness or mourn about this song ...

I forgot everything related about the film which included this melody as its theme, and I just concentrate on the beautiful sound of the violin in combine with the piano. And I can't help a tear running down my cheeks. This music has an own feeling. It's really touching. Your performance was absolutely amazing. You knew how to express the feeling of this melody in your violin.
You should not forget one thing related to the film, it's title should be Goldberg's List... now search...

Today this Music is more appropriate for Palestinians, the people who offered the victims a home and then lost it to them !
@@ColonialHistory The Palestinians never offered the victims of the holocaust a home, they sold land and declared war on them immediately when they found out the land wasn't worthless dessert as they thought it was. It was Egyptian land in 1948 and they were under mandate from the UK. It was the United Nation who decided that the Jews should have a nation of their own and they were given (and sold) parts of Egyptian land. The Zionists where already there, buying landof the Arabs who thought it was worthless dessert. Here is a link to Wikipedia, maybe you should read that first before going blabla on the internet about things you clearly know nothing about.

It's not music, it's not just a tune.. it's the expression of pain and sadness of those people who suffered each and every moment in those camps.. It's their cry which is coming out of this violin and every night this is my tune to find solace and my loneliness is rolling out as tears..
Very Beautiful and heart touching..a masterpiece, the violinist has played it so amazing and incredible.
this song makes me cry...
Violin reaches the soul and pulls out the raw emotion- so beautiful
This melody just breaks your heart in two makes you cry, God bless this young lady who is playing this haunting melody, this young performer plays with such passion and such an OUTSTANDING beautiful performance bravo, it takes a great deal of Courage to play in the place where unspeakable, unbelievable horrific things went on in the Holocaust and I hand it to this young lady She is TRULY AMAZING giving such an OUTSTANDING tribute to all those who suffered they would have been very proud and rightly so. We will NEVER FORGET them
I saw this movie when I was 10 years... even now hearing it I still crying remembering the horrors of the war that I saw in that time.
The most beautiful solo violin arrangement ! Thank you !
Excelentetisima! 👏👏👏❤️
Esperemos que si lo logres

This melody breaks my heart sadly but beautifully as well. The most painful of humankind is depicted here but, at the same time, the most beautiful of its kindness in it abounds. Always, one more of your admirers here. Thank You!

Che musica bellissima. Raccoglie dolore e speranza nello stesso tempo.

I listened again this morning and once again the tears flow. The melody tears at the heart, as a singer i understand the power of music but this piece is a memorial to millions and is just amazing and it was made for violin and cello John Williams wrote a gem.
Mille mercis Nancy
It's so beautiful,I am addicted to this music...
Just listen to this video and it moved me to tears and how to fight for everyone who wants to oppress mankind, a moment in history that should never be repeated again against humanity, the music is beautiful done..
Absolutely....
What a beautiful interpretation and what sensitivity that of this beutiful girl. God bless her.😊

It is my favourite scene🌹
In these times it these words are even so true...when I think about the rescue that is trying to safe people from drowning in the water...in the oceans...I cannot believe that they are stopped to do so so many times. Many times it must feel like that to them. We all need to learn...In these days I cannot believe how many people are Nazis again...why dont we all learn from that. That should never ever repeat itsself again...
That is a CYNICAL view. In life we can only do the best we can.

Wow ! What beautiful words you have written .may you be blessed
This is a very haunting, beautiful, sad piece! It had to be hard for John Williams to compose and Yitzchak Perlman to play without breaking down when they thought of the horrors of the time.

🙏🙏🙏
