How many times will it cut before you gotta change the blade? And how much is a blade. I've only ever used the manual ratchet cutters. My opinion the husky was always the best. I tried rigid and lenox and they never lasted very long before chipping
How long does the blade last on the husky? I've tried a milwaukee hand ratchet, with a similar blade as the tool in the video. Worked great but the blade didn't last
@Noteworthy honestly I've gotten the most life out of the husky brand. I've used several other but the husky lasts for a really long time. I am a fire sprinkler fitter, and when we would be on large jobs cutting cpvc my husky would last a whole job sometimes a few jobs of cutting 1" up to 1 1/2" all day long. Other brands especially with the replaceable blades I would get a few lengths of pipe before they would be completely chipped out. I haven't used milwaukee, but I used rigid, lennox, and a few other generic brands and I would always go back to the old husky.
I don't use mine a whole lot but I do regularly use it. But 3 years and I haven't changed the blade. It used to be I'd use it for 1 week out of every 4. Granted, I have taken it to a buffing wheel and sharpened it after I tried to cut 2/0 copper wire with it. So it didn't chip, just dulled.

They need one for 3”! Shocked no manufacturer had come up with one. I don’t care how big or heavy it is, I’d buy it
A band saw is your friend at that size I think. It's pretty easy to cut a straight cut with one.
I've had mine for several years and really love it. Great tool
Handy little buggers ! The M12 copper pipe cutter is also very cool !
So slick! I’ll post a reel of it cutting 2” later. It’s awesome and fast. No more hand cramping
@@MillisConstruction totally beats the crap outta saws ! Cept maybe tie M12 Bandsaw !
Oh I love this tool. I even use it on up to 12awg armored wire.
Don’t let Lorena Bobbitt get her hands on one of those 😮
Be careful using it on old pipes. They are often brittle and crack.
Good point. That can screw you.
Yup that’s when you need to use some sort of saw instead
Yea saw should be used
That's one mean cigar cutter.
All the Moils will want one !
I got one of these, really comes in handy in certain situations
How's it work on old hard pvc
It will bust it.
I've never seen the need to use one of these. 2 inch isn't bad too cut using manual cutters.
I’ve got carpal tunnel or arthritis already setting in on me. I literally can’t do it anymore
@@MillisConstruction aahh, I'm sorry. Glad this exists for you!

Does this cut tubular pvc without cracking it
yes very nicely up to 2”, if its older pipe it needs heated though because it gets more brittle as it ages
i would not use it on anything as tough as sch 80 after using it about 50 times i started noticing it wont cut straight without replacing the blade
Ah just buff the wheel and it sharpens right up.
Really kewl tewl indeed
Does it cut rubbery pipes. Like for example hydroponic piping ?
Make sure the pipe is not cold it will crack
Will this work for sched 40 & 80?
I use it on schedule 40 almost daily up to the max size it accepts. Works great. I don’t use much schedule 80 so I haven’t tried that yet.
@@MillisConstruction how long have you owned it? Also, how long does the blade last?

Bingo !
Can it cut 2" rigid (RMC)?
This is for PVC conduit and pipe.
Do a video where it cuts 2” pressure pvc not dwv
2" sch 80? I doubt that.
I’ve not tried schedule 80 but it cuts schedule 40 2” no problem.
Cuts 80 perfectly.
Lol just don’t cut old pvc and conduit and your good! 😂
I cant trust myself with that..
italian finger snipper....
Coowell toowell
How lazy...
lol
Hi, who is this three-quarter conduit and it’s still PVC
