Like the scraper and studfinder. That scraper rocks
These are great! I want them all. Thanks for doing the leg work Chris.
The little olight camping light is super cute, and the red light mode would be wonderful for bedtime to trigger melatonin production!
I use 5 of these items every day at work. I need the flashlight and tweezers. Great tips too.
Just used a set of third hand jacks, to install some upper kitchen cabinets. I couldn’t believe how much easier the job was with those babies!
I really appreciate that you demonstrated practical applications with these tools! You don’t usually see that on RUclips. Thank you.
Thanks for that feedback!
Chris, you are good! Thanks for NOT having music! Whew! I'm a retired home repair guy and appreciate your advice and will pass your site to some younger repair folks. Your presentation is clever and has an excellent flow to it and your script is mature and fast paced. Best of luck! Also, hope you have worked as an instructor as you are so good at it.
Wow! Thanks for that honest and appreciated feedback!!
love my Olight Prerun 2. I'm an electrician, and since we're usually the ones that cut off the power on the job, headlamps are a go too. I don't know why more trades haven't figured it out.
Also, as an electrician, please build a better test lead. Get a cord that uses 12 awg wire. Those lamp cords extension cords burn down more houses than anything else.
Great vid. Imma look into that scraper. That looks amazing!
This channel is so wholesome i love it
Like the door way clamp trick.
This is my first time watching your videos. You make me wanna go shopping for tools I need, or maybe don't need at all but want. Thanks.
The sound you hear is me chucking my terrible stud finder out the window so I can get that nifty Franklin one! What a game changer
My buddy has one similar, I hate it. with the stanley one I have you can turn the stud finder and essentially you can triangulate where the sensor in the stud finder is and find the exact edge of the stud every time. I never miss studs.
@@RobertBeckk what you're saying about the stanley sounds interesting but I'm not sure about what it is you mean. Can you elaborate? Thanks
@@dalebabbitt6185 if you tilt it, imagine a crooked picture frame. The stud finder will beep differently, essentially you mess with the stud finder enough and you can pinpoint exactly where the stud starts and ends. I may upload a video to explain.
@@RobertBeckk the video would be appreciated, thanks
Great to see you back again! Thanks for posting. Loved the stud finder.
As someone who works in construction, I appreciate this list, some of these are definitely going in my toolbox
Great to hear!
Ok 👌🏼 I will have a few things for that to bed I need
@@chrisnotap and is it just the one
@@chrisnotap do you still make smoking videos ?
Am in the UK but this stuff is on Amazon so watching this has cost mw another good few pounds gotta stop looking at youtube
I love this video😄👍👍
Well done sold sold sold 👍
The push through bit design is genius, no lost bits. They're going to sell a crap load of those stud sensors, what an improvement.
I can see where it might even be handy to own two of those jackable 'holders' for doing cabinetry, etc. In the right positions on the cabinets it would take almost no effort to install a cabinet straight and level...positioned properly it would probably hold it hands off, leaned a bit to the wall and slightly toward the center of the cabinet, each side, and further from the wall than the CG, on anything short of a slick wall.
Thx Chris, great stuff, as always.
Outstanding selection! I have worked in both commercial Construction and Demolition, I own 3 of the 10 items listed, will be shopping for the rest. The tweezers are priceless! With that nice multi- bit Canadian made screw driver, it will also accept big box store =(cheaper) replacement tips, you might want to put your good bits and spares in an Altoids tin with a rare earth magnet and hide it in you pocket as no one but a jerk will steal your nice driver if there are no tips with it... just my experience
I am so grateful for this list. I was just wondering yesterday what gifts I could get my father in law, who I'm sure would live every item on your list :) thank you for posting it!
You are so welcome! All of the links are in the description! Thanks
Been using the Franklin for a decade or more. Concur that there's nothing better. Strongly recommended.
I rarely comment.
I just have to leave a "Thank You"
You helped me find a Christmas Gift for my father and you remind me of my humble Grandfather.
Hope you have a Good Day, Sir.
Keep up your great work 🤗
That is awesome! Thanks!
I never thought of using a butter knife , might throw that in the work van .
Excellent list
I love Uncle Bill’s, give them to everyone and have been using them for about twenty years. Good video.
Passing thought- I’ve done the same thing, and found a deal on P38 military can openers, so everybody’s getting one this Christmas!
The "picking the right shirt" segment cracked me up haha! Great video!
Thank you for the video. I have number 10 & 9 and those tweezers are with me everyday. And I am going to look into those flashlights. They are just what I need to replace my bigger flashlight.
Thanks, now I know what to get for my handyman brother. He does so much for me around my house -- so unusual and useful tools are a perfect way for me to say thanks to him!
Wow! Really useful tools. That steering wheel tray I can use as someone who drives for a living and eats in my truck daily, it's just brilliant.
I think I’ll be getting a few of these. Thanks Chris!
Several items worthy of a closer look. Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
Great vid as always chris
Thanks 👍
Some really great practical tools! Most lists are kinda for a niche, are completely random, or are the sane items (carpenters pencil, speed square, etc).. Loved your list and how you showed how well they worked. Love the ball on that scraper, it just makes total sense and probably really helps with leverage and comfort.
Much love.
Great Video Thank You! Super stuff !! - with excellent links for instant shopping too!
+1 on the Dewalt laser. I bought mine last summer for a tile project. Works great!
I have had an Olight Baton for a few years - I'm in my nineties and very active but I have eye problems from old age and have to use the light all day for just about everything. It's great to slide the clip onto the visor of a cap and use it as a head light. I would highly recommend getting one. It is small and charges up from the computer - about once a month.
excellent list. Thank you.
Amazing video, you're great
As an electrician would recommend the voltage sensor that had a double forked ends so they can be used on Tamper Resistant receptacles that are in all newer homes. Great tools.
Super cool video! Thanks Chris!
Thanks Chris. This is EXCELLENT!!!!. I will certainly put these on my wish list. The #1 is just out of this world. 🇺🇸🤙🏽
Love the steering wheel desk. Great idea. 👍
I use that thing way more than I thought I would. Very useful gadget for the car!
@@chrisnotap My wife and I often go for Sunday drives and prefer eating in our compact vehicle. Truly the best gadget we've purchased in years. Thanks for all of the research you do for us. 👍
@@pmdun45698 We do the same. Sunday drives. We also do a McDonalds drive through breakfast every Friday and sit in our car at the pier and watch the boats come and go, people walking their dogs, cyclists and enjoy the sunshine in our Rav4.
Chris, most of the videos on RUclips are something to waste your time on. Your videos are not like that at all. Informative, worthwhile, instructional, with just a touch of that wonderful Canadian humour. Really, really glad that I subscribed.
I appreciate that!
That 3rd hand will really help me as I do all my renovations by myself. Thanks again for making our lives easier with your vast knowledge (videos). Be well.
You are so welcome!
I seriously love your channel!!! And thank you for supplying the links to these great tools!!
Chris, Jo said it for me also, every one of them I can use at my place. Thank you for your time in research.
You're welcome!
Very interesting, informative and entertaining, all-in-one, and you used correct spellings too! (Ex-pat from the UK, living in the USA)
Thanks for that!
That stud finder is amazing: so much better than the one I have, which is one of the ones that you have too! I also loved the De Walt laser level. And the rest.
Oh hey I used one of your videos to build the squirrel proof bird house. Me and the birds thank you!
Hello! I have a slightly higher end Dewalt laser with three lines and have been using it for a few years regularly. On a building site where studs are exposed. So I just keep screwing the mount in. I always get annoyed it can’t be adjusted up or down quite enough. And soon the walls will be boarded up with plasterboard so that won’t be an option. I’m always annoyed I can’t just quickly put it anywhere. Your ideas with the square and the clamp were genius. Bravo! This will change my life in a small but meaningful way! Thank you. It was ingenious and I loved it!
Very good; as long as you stay true to owning, using, and recommending... and not marketing stuff
Some great items.
Now to find them in NZ
Excellent thank u very much that was all very helpful. PEACE
I want all of these tools
I feel Christmas is coming early to my workroom!
Yes, we'll call it Covid Cabin Fever Day!
After watching your presentation im convinced I need all of these tools.
I'm serious.
Thank you.
I'll just have to budget and get one at the time....
I was looking at my 3m headphones just as you went into the review. Good to know you are as discerning as myself…
These are some really excellent products, great quality at reasonable prices ! Thank you !
Glad you like them!
Normally I look at such presentations and find 1-2 gizmos I could one day need. But on the whole, have either never needed in the past and or are never likely to need in the future. However, your selection of gizmos with brief description and how-tos, have highlighted two things. I could use all of those, as I’ve needed them in the past and made do with what was to hand, sometimes with frustrating results. Plus, I’ve evidently not got nearly enough handy gizmos, that could actually be both easy to us and useful in their own right. Thank you.
Now off to the links and make my list.
I got the screwdriver and the voltage tester!
Cool stuff
I wish I had seen this when it was uploaded 2 years ago. LOL. These are practical gifts that I would like, and my adult children would also like. Thanks for the video. I'll need to check out your channel so I won't miss anything. 😎👍🏻💯
I made another top 12 gift ideas video in Nov also. I think youll find more stuff for your kids to buy lol!! Here it is....ruclips.net/video/IGuCrVn8DjI/видео.html
@@chrisnotap Thanks! 😎👍🏻💯
There’s a few items I’ll be looking for. Thanks
All of the links are in the description.
Very informative and not too "wordy". Three of these made it to my list. (Have one tool already)
Great video
Thanks!!
That was, without a doubt, the best small tool & gadget video I've ever seen. And, clearly, you use all of theses, know them well, and trust them. All of them were incredibly practical as well. I recently paid a ton for the most fancy-pants stud finder I could find, thinking that maybe this one would work well...but all it does is bleep, flash, and cross signals...and the display shows a dazzling array of useless information. The one you reviewed is amazing. I intend to hunt one down for myself. I''m also saving this video for my husband to watch later..we love a good gadget video! :D
Wow! Thanks for that great feedback!!
10:50 I became subscriber. Many channels similar to yours call out the obvious, but the corner bead is a secret kept close by those that work in the trades or by those with genuine ingenuity. I've used that trick for about the past 7 years and haven't seen many others that pick up on it. Either way, I'm a supporter. Great content, well presented!
WoW! What a great video! Thanks! I'm always looking for little gadgets that can help me with my projects and I think I may have found a couple.
A New Subscriber in North Idaho who knows you are brilliant... Many thanks Mr. Notap.
We missed you Chris!!
@MichaelKingsfordGray troll. Every comment u leave on people’s channels say “coward” lmao learn a new word troll.
What useful tools! Thank you, and I've missed you! Glad to see your very well thought out videos.
How about a homemade tool that helps to close up engineered flooring planks without ripping out baseboards to do it? I don't know why or how they can move apart in the first place, but they are almost impossible to close those gaps.
Just discovered this channel. Smart, well made videos on various subjects with a common theme - doing more with less (some exceptions). I recommend and have subscribed.
Just when I had gave up finding good stuff on a budget, now I know what gifts to buy for myself. Thanks!
Genial el vídeo 🇵🇾
Chris, I have missed you! Glad to see you back. You do such a good job on your videos. Looking forward to the next one!
The king is back
i just love this man
Great, thanks! I have the electrical tester, now I want the rest!
I have been using these little tweezers for years. They aren't as good as they used to be, however they can be improved with a quick trick. Put a machine screw through the holes, and tighten a nut on the other side until the tips meet. Using fine sandpaper, you can sharpen both tips to much finer point, just like they used to do from the factory.
Yup. I'm sure some dumbass poked himself, complained, might have sued and then the design changed!
Great list, appreciate you sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great list, no unnecessary filler... thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Klein 11 in 1 is my favorite screw driver
The olight baton flashlights are great. I've had one for about 8 years.
Your easy to listen to, and entertaining. Thanks
I appreciate that! Thanks for that nice feedback!
Clever count down
Such a great post! Now I know what I’m giving for Christmas and birthday presents. I want one of each for myself. Thank you!
Very good show
Cracking video. I can watch these well researched ideas all day. Well done and thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love my Olight S1R baton II.
This! This is why I need you in my life.
God video Sir
Wow.. those are pretty cool gadgets and I appreciate seeing exactly how to use them. Thank you for sharing.. and yes the shirt you settled for was perfect!
You make my life so much easier.
Can you take a tour of your workbench?
Would love to see it.
I may do that.
i'll take one of each.
thanks
i’m watching all the videos in this channel just for the openings
Only if I could get my kids to watch this, I may get a GREAT Christmas gift
Send it to your wife
Wow, this was TOO useful!
Will definitely be buying some of these items.
Thank you, Chris!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi

Really great videos! Nicely done. A body of work you can be proud of. Keep up the good work I really enjoy getting notified when you put them out.
Great choices. Thank you Chris.
