I am one of those 'gentlemen of a certain age' that circles the Middle of Lidl like a elderly shark, thinking: "oo, that looks useful! I don't know what it does, but it's a good price!" Great video. Loads of people have never seen a de-burring tool and now know how useful it is. I bought one 3 years ago and is a perfect accessory with an disc cutter

I have the vice and didn't know what the collett was for. now I know. I have had a horizontal drill stand lying unused for decades. now my drill can become the bench grinder I've never had room for.Thank you.
That ratchet system looks clever. This and maybe even a larger version for working on cars when you don't have a long enough deep socket could be handy 😂. I think I saw these in a store a while back but didn't realise how it worked. Will keep a look out for them.
There are complete sets of "Pass-Through" sockets and ratchet with both 3/8" square drive and pass-through sockets and both metric and imperial sizes. Mine came in a very acceptable light green color plastic case. Not very strong metal, Chinese quality, but still useful for many hard to reach bolts and nuts in the terribly placed components on "modern" cars... Sorry, but mine came without any "brand", and I bought it at an Expo, so I cannot give you any other data, but be assured that there are Chinese made sets with so-so acceptable quality. (The ratchet on mine lost one plastic insert at its handle, but I glued it back), and I haven't managed to break a single socket, and the ratcheting screwdriver handle is very flimsy and cheap looking and feeling, but overall, I am still highly satisfied!
Nice you found these tools, on the dutch lidl site they are all over the place, the ratched set could not be found under sets but was in miscellaneous and so on. To bad the electronic angle meter was not there.

Hello, I also got the Speed Square two years ago from a german Lidl. It's often used in my Workshop since then. It survived the contact with the concrete floor multible times and is still accurate. As leftie I like the metric scale on both sides. The only downside is its thickness, which makes it more sturdy but makes it easy for parallax errors.
Nice choices. I’d seen that little vice before but hadn’t realised it included the large collet - very handy! That socket set is also extremely useful for its tiny size. 👍
Topnotch review with some tools I now want but didn't knew Lidl sold, and some tools I once bought but forgot about. :) Perfectly demonstrated as well: not too long, but you show what the tool is capable of. One tip: Put links (or at least actual names and/or type-numbers) of the actual products; they're not very easy to find at the (dutch) lidl webshop. E.g. the level angle gauge is just unfindable...
Great video and love the reviews I buy a lot of the tools Lidl sells , just wondered if you have any idea when the little socket set will be available ? many thanks and happy new year to you .
A few years ago, Lidl/Parkside did a small 'through hole' ratchet kit - I bought it PURELY for accessing battery-hold-downs (allthreads) but it's been used a TONNE - it's one of the most useful tools I've bought from the place - it's just nothing some you see much... I also bought their Lithium 3/8 ratchet which was VERY cheap (£30-odd without a battery) and I've abused-the-hell out of it for a few months now without issues The problem is that these things only appear occasionally - you literally get them when they're out (the rush for the winter workpants is almost Harrods-Sale-like!!) or you lose...
Very interesting and useful video! Parkside tools have awesome prize-quality ratio and i always find interesting tool reviews. And most of all, the video is really well made! You have a new subscriber!
Looking forward to all these tools coming to the shops near me (I believe I have already seen the deburrer but it sold out before I had a chance to get one).
Most of the parkside (Lidl) tools are decent quality for what you are paying, most are made in Germany & I've had quite a few that are made of S2 steel so quite 👍
Thank you for the great introduction! :) The Parkside ratchet set looks like a versatile tool that can reach just about anywhere. Unfortunately, we don't have Lidl in Norway. :( Does anyone know if this set can be ordered online, and if so, where?
I bought the ratchet set, the 1/4" ratched broke after few light operations, the mechanism skipped teeth in ccw direction. I returned it to Lidl. Unfortunately a new one was not available, so I got refunded.
I bought the vice a few years ago, it wasn't great. The fit was loose and it's effectively useless now. Not worth the money for me. The other tools look good though - thanks for the heads-up!
The one you didn't know the use of is for capturing the shape of something, eg a light switch plate or a funny angle in the corner to fit a tile. I have seen them called an angleizer.
12:52 Why indeed! They didn’t use parkers but ‘real’ screws and inserts. That must be much more expensive than the usual plastic lip on the lid that clicks in place. Thank you for this video. It clearly isn’t the usual paid promotional one and I found it very useful.

I'm really happy with the direction levers, mine has a poor finish on the handle, with 2 burr lines under the chromed finish, like the press they used to make it was missaligned or something.
I've got the deburring blade and I can say it's pretty trash assembly wise. The blade holder is steel, the handle is aluminium. The blade holder shaft has a knurled rod end which is pressed into the alu handle. After about several uses the steel holder came loose and I lost the retaining ball. It's still usable if you handle it properly but this design is kinda dumb. Either my product was faulty or it's a design flaw. Maybe a tighter tolerance on the handle would work. Or a screw from the bottom...
De-Burring tool......these are designed for right handed people. Look at the "guide ball" and the "chamfer angles" relative to the direction of the blade curve. Not so important with round tubes as you just rotate the opposite way, but with flat edges you end up pushing away from you and if the blade slips the recoil of the part hits the user in the chest, whereas right handed the recoil moves away from the user. Try it an you will see how awkward they can be for Lefties.
