    After using vinegar you gotta cover them in baking soda to nuturalize the vinegar. So just use black molasses n water and nothing else to remove water

    Nothing new or better than we all already know, and that is:
    Cheap rust removal method: Vinegar
    Expensive rust removal method: Evapo-Rust
    Fast rust removal method: HCL
    After any of the mentioned methods, wire brushing or sanding is still required.
    And then, some protection for the metal is needed, such as: paint, wax, varnish, shellac, glue, grease, oil, plating, hot bluing.

    That process takes much to long and involves the use of harsh chemicals. There are much easier processes that use natural ingredients that are not harmful to you or the enviroment, so no need for PPE. You can also just use a wire brush chucked into a drill press or secure hand drill. I've been restoring hundreds of antique handtools for years now and if I used your method, I'd still be work on the first one. You also need to disclose your process as you go along. If you do not speak the common language of English, then type out your process and translate it into English. Google has this service free to use. Most countries teach English as a second language so most foreigners use it in there videos if they want to reach a wider audience.

    Was für ein riesiger Aufwand.... Ich mache es so: Habe einen alten Kochtopf, mache Wasser heiß, kippe eine Packung Heitmann Citronensäure für die Reinigung von Kaffemaschinen in das heiße Wasser, dann die Schrauben ins Wasser geben und Minimum einen Tag dort drin lassen. Danach sehen sie wie neu aus....😅

    Can this cleaning process restore fasteners completely? Rust also erodes the metal surface, so after cleaning you should be certain that the cleaned component will perform as required. Also there will be hydrogen embrittlement of the metal.

    • @JoeA1974
      @JoeA1974 6 месяцев назад

      No.
      The sulphur in the CuSO⁴ liberates the oxygen from the iron oxide exposed and bonds to form iron sulfide with the free iron particles.
      Copper acetate is just repeating the vinegar step with the addition of copper. Without clean metal and electrolysis it would be just wasted materials.
