    I have a yx 140 simi and gears won't down lower than 3rd but will go in 3 an 4th . Tire is stuck, kick start is stuck so I can't start it. What can the the problem. The. Piston dose move and the fly wheel moves so it's not froze up . I'm lost . Cant find any rebuilds on simi only manual

    • @motorcyclefixer
      @motorcyclefixer  3 года назад

      It could be the gear change mechanism or it could be the gear change drum or one of the gears maybe stuck on a shaft inside the gearbox. Watch my other video on stuck gear change and try that first.
      If it's not that it's internal I'm afraid

    Good information video mate :). I Can’t help but wonder why you tried to kick start the bike even though it wouldn’t do a full crank revolution by hand ?.

    • @motorcyclefixer
      @motorcyclefixer  3 года назад +1

      Sometimes when you turn it by hand you can't get it past the compression. I didn't kick it, I just wanted to rotate it with the kickstart.

    Hi, just stripped top end on a stomp 140 can anyone help take the valve rocker arm out? There was two little looks like spring washers on one side of the arms. Can anyone tell me how they go back please
    Thanks

    • @motorcyclefixer
      @motorcyclefixer  8 месяцев назад +1

      to take out the rocker arms you need to pull out the shaft from the head using a bolt into the end of the shaft. The threaded end of the shaft is the opposite side to the cam chain. you usually have to remove the block where the oil lines go to the head

    • @motorcyclefixer
      @motorcyclefixer  Год назад +1

      Hi
      I'm sorry i can't remember the size and i don't have the flywheel to measure it any more
      If you measure the hole in the flywheel and add 2mm on for the depth of the threads that will give you the size you need
      Best regards

    Please reply , On my m2r yx160cc engine , is sounds like a little ball bearing is rolling around in the engine when idleing what could this be

    • @motorcyclefixer
      @motorcyclefixer  2 года назад

      It could be any one of a hundred different things. You'll need to isolate the problem. Start taking the casings off and checking everything.
      Sorry it's not very helpful but it's hard to diagnose a problem without seeing it

    • @kgmxtraining250
      @kgmxtraining250 Год назад

      Could be your valves tapping if the timing is off. If its half a tooth then your chain might be stretched.

      Make sure that when you bolt it on, the cam lobes are facing away from the valves.
