    After watching the round of golf and the tips video, I will watch Tommy play golf on tv with a lot more respect.
    Tommy is a class act, he is humble, kind, respectful yet confident. More guys on the tour need be like this.
    I just became a huge Tommy fan.

    Turn - push the arms/hands away, Turn - push the arms/hands away - is all I worked on last year at the range on my irons. When I helped some people with their swing, the other thought that worked to 'get this' was to keep the Right Hand as far away as possible from your Right Ear on the backswing. The second beautiful thing that Tommy does after getting to this position, is that his first move down is to twist that clubface getting the club square immediately. Glad to see you highlight his swing - everyone can learn from it.

    Great video. I got into golf at the back end of 2019 and spent the majority of 2020 copying Tommy Fleetwood’s swing. I don’t even consider it to be a 3/4 shot any more. It’s just BAU now with all clubs. Can’t recommend this technique enough for consistency

    Another great video Eric. The mic sounds much better especially considering the windy conditions. Based only on watching Tommy on TV, I don't think I've ever seen him completely follow through (collapsing his arms at finish), with the exception of his driver swing. Should this held off 3/4 finish be considered a normal iron swing? Which technique do you think would be more accurate, a full finish with a lower club, or a held off finish with a higher club?

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  3 года назад +2

      Thanks, John!
      " Should this held off 3/4 finish be considered a normal iron swing?"
      -It can be!
      "Which technique do you think would be more accurate, a full finish with a lower club, or a held off finish with a higher club?"
      -Great question...I would bet the results WILL NOT be the same for everyone on that one.
      I find with irons a shoulder to shoulder swing (3/4) trying to hit the ball at the middle of the green is a great play for me and most people I work with.
      Of course that depends on your skill level, how much time you have spent on 3/4, 1/2 swings, etc in practice to dial them in.

    Fleetwood never gets out "in Front" at impact, (not off-sides), and at impact, his head has the sensation of moving backwards, (sort of like Nicklaus). Head is sideways at impact...certainly, the arms are very fast and body follows...would you agree Eric?

    Yeah, why do so many americans have this old hands back at address hand position? Especially Tiger in the olden days and Fred Couples did this. And on the european tour, they usually are a lot more like Mcilroy.

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  3 года назад +1

      Probably several factors....playing in more weather/windy conditions in Europe would lend itself to handle more forward to lower the loft and keep the ball lower.
      Lots of US courses designed for high and soft shots....which handle less forward lends itself to....SO LONG AS you can still hit it solid enough from there!
      I would prefer the average golfer with hands more inside left thigh
