"I don't know" IS a third answer. Its not a hypocrisy. It doesn't make one look stupid.
How can you trust someone who doesn't let you know they don't know. I mean, it's impossible to know everything. Someone who never says "I don't know" is stupid. The weirdest hypocrisy.

I've been called arrogant for feeling and saying I'm handsome. In fact I believe I have a good self-esteem because I treat everyone equally and respectfully. Send a hug to Brazil, I'm a big fan!
I do not think you understand what it means to be humble. People with humility don't feel the need to boast about the things they can do or how "handsome" they think they are. They prefer to let their actions and accomplishments speak for themselves. Or in your case, letting your peers say you are handsome instead of boasting about it. Don't forget, we all get old and you better have more than looks in the end.

I wish that I'd like to win a straight male can also see another straight male as attractive and not be afraid to say so to people as if it's just obvious and low we can tell that the one person is attractive over one person's attractive It's pretty sure that it's no big deal to say so even if you're a guy so just like women are capable of compliment together women guys can also complement other guys and not look gay so stop being all surprised and scared that guys are capable of being just confident enough to recognize when another person other than themselves is attractive so it doesn't have to be brought down in fact it needs to be encouraged when people start telling it like it is and so forth with no trouble nice and kind and understanding we like those words but can we put them more to practice please?

It's always noble to have an intelligent mind with humble heart than to have a great mind with heart full of pride. In the end, it's not the content of your brain that matters but it's the way how you present yourself and makes connection to people that count most.

I think it depends. I think many of whom are very sensitive to criticism or constantly have to make everything into a competition can be very insecure -- prop themselves up by tearing others down. But I also think there are some people who are genuinely arrogant. I saw a video once about a kid who was very self-aware that he was a genius and his capabilities, yet was very arrogant because he would say he didn't want to be in the same classes as the slow kids. That's not jealousy or a fake competition/mind games for ego boosts. That was a realistic comparison. The other kids were likely smart + very capable, yet he was on another level. While I'm all for fostering the growth of this kid's potential, I'm not for his arrogant attitude.

Ever since I started loving myself, gained my confidence and believing in myself everyone has an issue with it. It’s so annoying to me because I used to be very insecure and now all of a sudden I love myself all the people are attacking me trying to bring me down to their insecure level. They try to dictate my life and my goals as if they own me or something. I know who I am and I know what I want for myself not what others want for me it really ticks me off when people start doing that to me if I can be any more humble I’d be dead and I don’t need to prove to anyone that I’m humble. People assume that I’m not humble based on how I look or that I think I’m better and it’s solely based on how I look they want me to walk hunched over and talk down about myself instead of walking with my shoulders back chest out with confidence no freaking way of being humble means trying to look meek weak or frail I want no part of it.
Yeah I also get ticked off when that kind of thing happens and I'm hoping to just plain ignore the best of my ability when I'm around people like that I'm hoping sometimes will upgrading the people I associate with the people who actually understand these things but then again I wouldn't be helping anybody learn how to do it right if I wasn't the example trying to help them figure out how to get themselves situated to a better place where they can love themselves too so I stick it out and try not to be pissed either way I'm thrilled that I get to relate to your particular story because my goodness I do relate totally so thank you for sharing

Thank you for this video, I recently hung out with a friend from a church I used to go to and she had told me she felt that I come across as arrogant, she later corrected it and said maybe it’s just confidence, but to others who have self confidence issues, it may come across as arrogance. When I had mentioned this comment to another friend, they totally disagreed with the statement, saying she has arrogance and confidence confused, you’re definitely confident in yourself not arrogant; mentioning how humble I am.
That's pretty cool when people with the right information end up getting it out to the right people and people get unconfused about the subject so thank you very much for sharing that interaction and hoping other people are capable of benefiting from such things and knowing that they are not alone in this hypnosis or type of confusion getting it right is always a good feeling and it's good to share that too so thank you for your comment

Arrogance for me feels like "I know .. therefore". it is like you inflate yourself before you deliver. This inflating is a sign for showing (advertising) that you are strong. At the peak of the inflating there is a feeling of smugness, over the top, hardening, sly look, superiority over you, you should come to me for counsel, type of look.

I think confidence is a sincere belief in your capabilities, where you can see your worth. But at the same, you're self-aware + proactive where you aren't afraid to change, make mistakes, learn + take responsibility for self-improvement. You can handle constructive criticism and naysayers. I think it's the ability not to just self-correct but also compliment oneself, but not excessively or blindly. "I did a good job today!" That's not a competition or drama with others, just yourself. That's not showing arrogance beyond maybe acknowledging to yourself that you were better than you used to be, which can be a good thing! Can show growth and self-responsibility. I think there's a misconception in society that if you compliment yourself at all, you're being arrogant. Going out of your way, especially in a showy manner? OK. But just mentioning in a matter-of-fact, neutral manner or showing some genuine happiness, especially when the topic is already on it or when you've been asked? No. There's nothing wrong with celebrating your wins, as long as it's earned/not excessive + you're fair.
Arrogance... (And I don't mean insecurity being masked as arrogance.) I think is the exact opposite. The person truly believes that they're better than most or the best. They have a hard time learning from their mistakes or admitting them, self-growth/change is limited. And when they compliment themselves (and ofc this can come in different forms, like more covert humblebrag), there's often a comparison to others: "I did better than most in my class." Even if that's the truth, they may brag excessively or do one-upping, bossing others around, rudely correcting, etc.
Humility is another topic that can be a good or bad thing. If humble means being able to willingly admit one's faults, being self-aware and being willing to learn, taking self-responsibility for one's growth, then yes. But if one means humility that comes from humiliation, especially humiliation that's not consensual and has come through force. No. That can be very toxic.

Low/high status, alpha/beta, inferior/superior etc are wrong mindset too. I do use these terms sometimes but mostly I in superficial matters.
