Pride makes us say 'Thanks God, but I will take it from here'. May God help us stay humble
The worst thing about Pride is that it can sneak in into your life even if you know everything about being humble. I just realized that, pride has been fucking me up.
Exactly. Then we have to be careful of not becoming prideful about our humility
Blessed you are....sometimes you are unaware of it.
God resists the proud but gives Grace to the humble
When proud & full of pride we are in turmoil ; but when humble we feel God’s peace and love .
I became so proud that He took His spirit from me, I am still proud, please ask him to humble me
Meditate on His Word. Write out Pride Scriptures. Make a routine out of doing that.
And “no” - God would never take His Spirit from you. The Holy Ghost is silent because of disobedience. But never does He leave.
It is time for you to draw near to God. Set an appointment with God and always show up for your prayer meetings ❤
I hope you have done better since 8 months. Pride makes us feel that God is smaller than he actually is
I swear if you call him to humble you you wouldn't like it. My sister work it out, don't call God to humble you, he knows how to squeeze pride out. Pray that he walks with you in the journey

what you should be is not too proud and not too humble too much humility means you have no self worth..too much pride means you overvalue yourself theres a happy medium...i posted me coming in 5th place out of 30 in a spanish contest.
there is so much i question about people. Like how can a person claim to be a follower and yet condone sins God detests (pride being the topic here)? Being proud is one thing but knocking down others and thinking one is better than others (due to their accomplishments) is another. People who have this makes it even harder on those who actually want to believe and follow God.

Of course you can, you just need to recognize if your mindset begins to abandon the Bible. You can be $100,000,000 dollars a rich man, and still serve God. That’s just 100,000,000 million reasons to stay humble and work with God.
"I am healthy. I accomplished a lot of things." Can we be proud AND humble at the same time? That's like trying to physically be in California and Florida at the same time. God opposes the proud BUT He gives grace to the humble (Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5). Where does our good health come from? Where --- or should I say from Whom --- do our good accomplishments come from? James 1:17: if we humbly and carefully consider, and trace our roots, they come from God. ALL good things come from above. Therefore GOD GETS ALL THE GLORY. Our enemy the devil was the original, self-centered, "me, myself and I," created being (Isaiah 14:12-15). He's infected us with his disease. He's the king of the sons of PRIDE!! (Job 41:34) But, as born again belevers, Jesus has given us the power to humble ourselves under God's mighty right hand and leave our exalting to Him (1 Peter 5:6). Hope this helped. God bless you.
No. You did NOTHING that wasn't provided by GOD. Your health is a gift from GOD. Your accomplishments were all manifested with everything that GOD created for you to use. Humble is knowing we are nothing, we know nothing, we accomish nothing, we have nothing without GOD'S love, generosity, and mercy.
What if you are too full of pride? What should you do because you can’t force humility?
Just let go of it.. never look back and start taking gods path
Think about others needs over your own. Always be kind and don’t engage in gossip or the judgement of others. Finally, realize that everything you are is a gift of the Lord’s Glory and Mercy.
Pray to God and ask for him to change your heart, or the heart of the person you’re talking about.

I'm very confused about this. Does pride in the bible have a different meaning than pride does secularly? Like should we not be proud of our families or proud to be an American?
I have been contemplating that the point at which pride becomes sin is the moment it is about comparison. We can be happily content that we are reading more books this year or getting stronger from lifting more weights, or that we live in America. But if we progress to say that that issue means we are better than others, then pride is at the door.
Well, it’s more of a gratefulness that we need to show. Pride is when you put others down for your own selfish gain that doesn’t help others or even yourself. So be grateful, not prideful
No sir, pride is only possible when a person is seduced by the influence of existential doubt. The father of all the lies is that same influence. We can get swept off our feet sometimes. Its how "road rage" happens.

you can seek what is best without pride. pride seems to turn us selfish. we center all of our attention on ourselves. step on others to climb. call others stupid while we believe we are always right.
the issues is...when pride permeates our being, we cant even notice how ugly it truly makes us. we refuse to see it. because it slowly makes us think we are better than others. peace is not a lie....it has just been in the back seat.
do you have any brothers and sisters? practice peace within you own family bro. it is easy to fight....but trying to bring peace...that is beyond difficult. but it is possible.
Genuine question. So, you can't take pride in anything? Can't be proud of your kids? Can't take pride in your work? Take pride in the way you conduct yourself? Also, if I can't take pride in these things, then what is the alternative?
There’s a huge difference in thankful and humble being proud of our family and happy about blessings… then the proud who are full of themselves. Their kids are the best. Their home is the biggest. Their mouth or posts always show off in puffed up pride.

@darkknightfanboy3185 Taking pride in your work and your children's accomplishments is all well and good. Even then it is best to thank God for answering your prayers and helping you achieve success. The pride that I believe the Bible condemns is taking credit for something that God gives you.
2 Corinthians 11:30 If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it? We are ALL tempted at times to become prideful, the enemy of our soul understands the destruction it brings.

By thinking that you are better than that person and that you are entitled to hurt them.
Pride make you think that all your ideas are best, thus when wotking with others you will never compromise, apologise, see their point of vire, be empathetic etc. Thus you'll hurt those around u.
