Thank you SO MUCH for having and showing comparisons of the inner liner pots. I'm debating upgrading from 6qt to the 10quart, but really wanted to see how big the liner and the cooker are. Yogurt is a staple in my apt, , and need to actually reach a rolling boil with the milk. It breaks down the proteins for a creamier end product. The 10quart is my safest option The strain I make cannot handle the incubating temperatures instant pot offers, plus I incubate from 24 to 36 hours, so I have a sous vide in a huge tub with water for the incubation step. I make anywhere from 2 to 4 gallons at a time. The yield is about 1/2 the volume I start with, as the yogurt is strained greek yogurt strainer. I may buy 2 10quart units, and run them both at the same time, maybe offset each by 15-20 min. Saves me about an hour compared to running sequentially with a clean 2nd purchased liner. I do need to be hover while stirring the milk in sauté mode for the milk boiling stage. you are a pro. Thank you again
loved your video. just purchased the 10 qt as an extra next to my cosori pressure cooker 6qt). love the simplicity of cosori so hope i will get used to instant pot😂
I just got one of these and it is MASSIVE! Just want everyone to know we bought ours at Big Lots yesterday (Jan 16, 2021) for $99! Amazon has it for $149 Walmart for $168 - $230!!! Not sure if this was specific to our store here in Tennessee but just wanted everyone to know about this because it is an awesome deal! Have a great day everyone and God bless you all! John 3:16 KJV
Yaaayyyy! Glad I found you! Thank you for doing this video. Mine comes in the mail TOMORROW! I was not willing to mess with anything smaller for my first instant pot. More vids and info on this model would be greatly appreciated! I'll be liking, saving, and sub'ing to you!💞👍
I'd guess it could take a 6-8 pound turkey but I haven't tested it! It's really big around so it could fit a really big one that way. I'd just be worried that the turkey might be too tall for the lid to fit on. If you experiment with it let me know what you find out!
Would love to see the 8 quart liner filled with water up to the max line, and then dumped into the 10 quart liner, to see just how much true difference there is in size between the two liners!! 😂
Indigo, We just bought the 10 qt. IP But we cannot find accessories for the 10 qt. IE. especially, spare S.S. IP inner pot, IP tempered glass lid,. Also silicone inner pot cover, wider trivets, wider cake pan, wider steamer pan/ basket, pot/pan lifter tool. Can you or anyone out there direct us to source(s) fully sized to the 10 qt. IP, preferably IP authorized, but other quality sources as well? Thank you
There are lots of good options for pot in pot cooking. This is a good set that I use a lot: www.amazon.com/dp/B071GY3R42/ref=cm_sw_r_sm_apa_fabc_fmt5FbJNB967G And here is my pot in pot playlist if you need more ideas and recipes! ruclips.net/p/PL9xO_tJeaa6z_EBcLdtJP5pforgwmJ8ye
I love your review as always but I doubt if it will be on sale in the UK which is a shame. Wishing you and all of family a safe and healthy Christmas and a blessed New Year. 🥰😎
Excellent video! I tried clicking on the Amazon link but they only sell used ones. 😔 I'll probably wait until closer to the holidays to see if they're available and maybe in sale. How much is the 10qt?
Anyone notice you can't buy extra sealing rings? And yes, I know there's other off-brands that sell the 10qt rings, I bought them, and they do not seal at all. I've tried getting a hold of Instant Pot to ask them where to buy extra sealing rings for this monstrosity, and they've ignored my request. I'm about to sell mine off so I can buy an 8qt, at least I know I can get actual IP brand sealing rings for other sizes.
Question... for pot in pot cooking can you use a 6 quart inner pot inside a 8 quart and or the 10 quart? It looks like putting an 8 quart inside the 10 won't work because it's taller. I'd like to know... I have a 8 quart Ultra right now and I'm thinking of buying this 10 quart. It would be nice to know this info before buying a 6 quart inner... I hate returning things etc. Thank You.
Putting a request in that your next unboxing/review is the new IP Pro Crisp...I mean it's only a mere $229 and all, perfect price haha. Thanks again for another great review
Sounds good!🤣 I've been making instant pot videos for about 4 years straight and have written an official Instant Pot cookbook yet they've never acknowledged my existence... A petition should put it over the edge though! 🤣
@@IndigoNili Exactly. I remember you said in one of your past videos that Instant Pot didn't even know who you were and I was thinking that was ludicrous. Everything you do to promote them, it's nuts. I'm a professional athlete who's been getting sponsorship on my own since I started my career so I know the red tape and how hard it is. Just know that we all appreciate you so at least there is that.
The big failing of the instant pot accessory pots, pans, inserts, & such is they are nearly all sized to the 6 qt. max. When everyone says, "fits 6qt. to 8 qt. IPs", they really mean sized to the 6 qt. IP, which, of course will also fit into larger sized IPs, duh! Therefore no real larger size/ volume advantage to the above 8qt. and 10qt. Instant Pot accessory sizes for these uses. Also no Instant Pot brand 14qt. glass lid. Booooo! Then too there is the way too tiny 6 qt. trivit lifter tool that is sold with the 10 qt. IP. Whaaaat? We just bought the 10 qt. Instant Pot only to discover many above accessories waste all that additional space. Grrrrrrrrr! Some one out there please prove us wrong. 😭
I was so happy to find this 10 qt on sale at Big Lots. With all my coupons and discounts, it was only $56 after taxes.
Thanks for taking the time and doing this comparison, much appreciated!
The extra button on the top is an over pressure valve. It will release if an excessive amount of pressure is created.
Thank you! I figured it was something like that ☺️

Wow, everything that I needed to know. That obviously deserved a like.
Thanks for introducing this product, Nili. That thing is GINORMOUS! 😮
I love my 10-quart. Have had it a couple of weeks. Made 2 pounds of black beans yesterday to share with the family yesterday. ❤️

Seriously!? 😂 Thanks so much for the support. 🥰

Btw...how big of a turkey do you think this model can handle? I found a LOT on sale right now and would love to cook and freeze for future meals.

WoW, that’s big 😮
Thank you for providing this information. What pans do you recommend for the pot in pot cooking? Look forward to seeing more info on this Instant pot.

So when you had them stacked inside each other was the 10qt the bottom on? I’m needing more horizontal space than vertical.

Good to know
I saw extra sealing rings for the 10 quart on the official Instant Pot website.
Hi where do you get the 10liter stainless steel inner pot from? Thanks

I saw the new 8 qt pot has handles and a crisper lid were the 10qt doesn’t the 20qt is more like the 1st ones did except for the pressure release
I have the 8 quart duo crisp, and the one you described is the pro crisp model and that’s next on my list to buy
Are these still available? I cant find one!

Ha! Maybe I should start a gofundme to pay for the cost of the review 😂

what does the time going up as it is pressurizing mean?
I want one ✌️
Would the 8 qurt fit 4 1 qurt mason jars in or would I need the 10 quart?
I put three in my 8qt. I want to try the 10qt mostly to try the height as the jars are different height. Does the 10qt fit taller jars?
@@xe1022 I just bought trhe 8 quart and it does fit in 4 945 ml mason jars wide mouth.
Do you do that for canning?
1:45 that's what she said ha
