You are a fighter!!! WAHOO! I hope and pray you continue to kick cancer's butt! So honored to hear you enjoyed this recipe and it helped you to get your appetite back.

I made this recipe and my family absolutely loved it. I used a rump steak roast and couldn't believe how juicy and tender it really was and so easy to slice up. Graded horseradish does this meal justice. I never liked cooking rump steak, it was always tough and difficult to cook but thought I'd give it a go in my pressure cooker and I'm so glad I did. Simple ingredients, easy to put together, one of the perfect ways of cooking a tough steak and definitely less time ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ thank you for sharing your amazing recipe 😀👍

Hey there! I have tested this in a 6 and 8-quart model. If you have a 3-quart, I would cut the recipe in half. Feel free to freeze the leftovers for up to 3 months.
thank you very much. I'm going to try this today. Husband came home with a pot. I have to use the timer but I really was looking for direction on the how too and how long to cook the roast. We did this and used pressure cooker for 60 minutes and then after that was done I added potatoes carrots green beans. Corn and onions with seasonings. Then put it on slow cook for 3 hours. Came out excellent. Tender juicy and everything nice and tasty with the beef broth
Love the horseradish idea! My grandma used a bit of worsheshire.. I can just see her dashing it in her slow cooker and then dashing some in her Bloody mary or bloody beer (a true iron range woman). For me, I’ve never had to brown the meat while making pot roast in the instant pot. I can just literally throw in the meat and the veggies all at once with 2 cups of water and put it on manual mode for about 60 minutes (using 2 pounds of chuck roast shoulder.. not rump). Perhaps if you are using 3 pounds of meat browning is necessary but when using 2 pounds I can just shove it all in at once and not even worry.
I've got my daughter's Insta Pot on loan and it's Pot Roast Sunday so I did a quick YT search and found you. I like your style and want more of it so I subbed, but hun I noticed you didn't plug your own channel, just a quick, snazzy like, sub, and ring the bell ...is all it takes to remind your viewers don't forget to like, ...Thnz for sharing. I watch a lot of videos
Hi Kristen! Can't wait to try this! We have a couple of folks, though, who have an aversion to horseradish. How will it turn out without it? Would I need to cook the meat a little longer? Thanks!
Hi There! I would suggest adding in additional ingredients for flavor, but keeping the cooking time the same. I personally would add in dried onion soup mix (here is my homemade recipe: amindfullmom.com/diy-dry-onion-soup-mix/) and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and omit the added salt. I hope you enjoy!
The roast I have is small, round, and thick - is this process gonna work or am I gonna need to make adjustments (cutting in half ... cooking longer etc)?
Hi Gordon! It sounds like you have a top round roast. They can be quite a bit tougher than a chuck roast--but let me help you get it right :) I would suggest cutting into large 2-inch chunks. Skip searing the meat and add to inner pot with beef stock and seasonings. Pressure cook for 60 minutes with a full natural pressure release. Then add in potatoes and carrots and pressure cooker for 2-5 minutes on high pressure. Enjoy!
I thank you for your recipe. Can’t wait to try it. My daughter said we have to make room in our fridge first lol. My roast is in the freezer waiting to be cooked. Can’t wait to tell you how it turns out.
Kristen I love your videos! I’ve loved all your recipes and have made this my go to channel. I’m cooking for a crowd tonight and making this recipe. I have 2 chuck roasts, a little over 6 lbs. for the two, not 6lbs each. can I make this as is in an 8qt instant pot without doubling the recipe, or should I cook them separately in two instant pots?
Hi Jennifer! You should be able to fit both roasts (with double the liquid and seasonings) in the 8 quart instant pot and keep the cooking time at 60 minutes (20 minute per pound for 1 roast). Another option is to cut the roasts into 2-inch chunks and cook for 20 minutes TOTAL.
I usually make my roast in the oven. I Sautee it with salt and paper and coat it in garlic paste. Then I roast it in red wine. A light red lambrusco or malbec topped with thyme turns out really nice. You can yhin the wine with broth if you like. We don't. My immune system won't handle eating out with all those people carrying germs. I make my own malbec but, I used to buy reunite' lambrusco. I'll try this. Someone gave me an instapot and, I think I'm in love and may buy one with an air fryer attachment. It's really hard learning to cook for three kids when you're used to cooking for ten since the other three that moved out are all huge boys. I'm going to make Chinese pork ribs tonight. It'll take less than a quarter of the time I usually spend.
I am right there with you right now. We are hunkered down in our house to protect ourselves, as I am high risk as well. Stay safe! And enjoy your pork ribs.
@@AMindFullMom I'm stuck in the house with three of my kids as if yesterday. We have omicron corona. My daughter got it at work. A bunch of those idiots like to go to the bar and drink after work. She can barely breathe since she has asthma. If we weren't vaccinated it would be a lot worse. Amy's grandpa got it too. The doctors said only reason he lived is because he's vaccinated. He's 92. I believe it. I was in the hospital for three weeks after surgery and didn't get this crap only to be infected by some idiot drunks. This is bs.
Followed your recipe for the most part in my Instant Pot duo crisp+air fryer and the roast came out like yours. Instead of using the broth I used 4 cups of apple cider. Good job!
I'm reading the comments!!! The horseradish got me hooked. I love the stuff . In the Phillipines and want to share foods from home with my family here. Thanks for the recipe. Will put it to the test Monday!!
Can you taste it really strongly? I have a 12 year old and 14 year old. They love meat but any odd flavors they don't. I know they wouldn't like horseradish sauce. So I'm not sure if I should use prepared horseradish bc if they can taste that unique flavor I don't think they'll like it
@@AMindFullMom thank you so much for the quick response! I'm making it tonight and I would've opted out if I wasn't sure lol. Thank you. I'm going for it :) what sides do you eat along with this meal?
@@AMindFullMom oh good you replied, I just watched again & I caught something you said that I didn't catch before, you said don't do a quick release but a natural release, what is a natural release???? 🤔
@@MsLiberty101 Sorry for my delay in responding back! Crazy couple of days. So a natural pressure release means to not force the pressure to release by turning the venting knob from sealed to venting. Instead, let the instant pot be for at least 10-15 minutes.
You never HAVE to brown the meat. But in this case, it adds incredible flavor with the added caramelization it brings to the pot roast.
Good reminder. I am a horrible sales person, just trying to help people :)
Thank you for your demonstration! Looks delicious!
My pleasure 😊 I hope you give it a try!
Sounds good! I’m going to try this today. I don’t have any horseradish onhand but I’ll try it next time!
I hope you enjoy it! And you MUST try the horseradish at some point. So good!
Just got an InstantPot! Found you and am so glad I did. Looking forward to learning so much. My roast turned out great!
Wonderful! I hope you find many more recipes to enjoy, Pamela! Reach out with any questions any time.
Going to try this tonight. Thank you for the video!
Hope you like it!
Thank you for sharing! Trying this one out tonight!
Hope you like it!
Enjoy!
Just made this last night and it was amazing! I plan to try many of your recipes. ❤😊
Wonderful! I hope you find many more to enjoy!
Oh boy thank you! And I LOVE horseradish! What a GREAT tip💕🥳🎉🤩
It's so good! I hope you love it as much as we do!
Thanks for the video, a friend just gave me an instant pot VIVA and I'm using it for the first time cooking a roast
Hope you enjoy and please reach out with any questions you may have.
Your videos are the best by far on instant pot recipes thank you! Keep up the good work 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
This was really good!!
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
I thank you for your recipe. Can’t wait to try it. My daughter said we have to make room in our fridge first lol. My roast is in the freezer waiting to be cooked. Can’t wait to tell you how it turns out.
Hope you enjoy
Excellent video! Can’t wait to try it!
I hope you enjoy it
some great tips here, more than most, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
You know the recipe works when the cook eats a bite and loves it! I don’t have a whole day to make pot roast, so I’ll try this. Sub’d your channel.
Welcome! I hope you find many recipes to enjoy here.
I’m a browns fan!! Your so funny, ‘ watch them lose mostly’ haha, but we still love em’ . Going to try making this today, wish me luck 🙏🏻
We will always love them😆😍. Enjoy the pot roast
Looks delicious can't wait to try this out
Hope you enjoy
I started your papas roast an hour ago! 🤩🙌😁🙌…..I’m EXCITED 😜! Thank you mam! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🙏
I hope you enjoy every bite!
I like to coat with seasoned flour before searing. That way the juices thicken as it cooks.
Unfortunately, that can cause a burn notice when pressure cooking. Flour shouldn't be added until AFTER pressure cooking.
This is bs.
@@heathercortes9567 Oh my word! Sending you so much love and prayers for healing. I am so glad you are vaccinated as well. Take care!
Followed your recipe for the most part in my Instant Pot duo crisp+air fryer and the roast came out like yours. Instead of using the broth I used 4 cups of apple cider. Good job!
Wonderful! So happy you enjoyed the pot roast.
Thanks for being so thorough! Looks delicious!!!!!!
You are so welcome, I hope you enjoy!
I have enjoyed each of your videos. One question, though. Are you using a six or eight quart IP?
I test the recipes in both a 6 and 8-quart recipe
@@AMindFullMom Thank you for the information.
I'm reading the comments!!! The horseradish got me hooked. I love the stuff . In the Phillipines and want to share foods from home with my family here. Thanks for the recipe. Will put it to the test Monday!!
I hope you enjoy! The horseradish adds so much flavor!
Can you taste it really strongly? I have a 12 year old and 14 year old. They love meat but any odd flavors they don't. I know they wouldn't like horseradish sauce. So I'm not sure if I should use prepared horseradish bc if they can taste that unique flavor I don't think they'll like it
@@lns4life my very picky eaters (14 and 17) don't detect the horseradish and they would never use creamy horseradish sauce
@@AMindFullMom thank you so much for the quick response! I'm making it tonight and I would've opted out if I wasn't sure lol. Thank you. I'm going for it :) what sides do you eat along with this meal?
@@lns4life I hope you all enjoy it! We typically just enjoy with the potatoes and carrots and call it a meal.
Go Browns!!! You must be from Ohio!!! I am soooo glad I stumbles on your channel.
Maybe this year--LOL!! Will always be a Browns fan, even though I haven't lived in Ohio for nearly 20 years. So happy you found my channel as well.
I'm going to try, it but is it ok if I add Worcester & garlic cloves? Oh and Thyme & Rosemary...or will that mess it up.?
Those all sound like they would work well. In my opinion, garlic never hurts!
Best pot roast ever!
I love hearing you agree!
Thank you so much for the great video. Am trying it now. 😃
Hope you like it!
Nice making this today. Horseradish makes so much sense but I've never used it. ~ Thanks
You are so welcome! I hope you enjoy!
