Incredibly useful video. All the right angles and points of interest, which is something all those comparison sites just can't seem to get right. Thank you!
What I just learned was to let it sit out in the sun. It deodorizes nicely. Not only the sealing ring, but the float valve silicone thing also holds odors, and leaving the cover off and out in the sun also takes that stink away.
I have an 8 quart that is identical to the 10 court. Only differences the size. Everything works the same and the buttons are the same. But the 8 quart does have the slits in the handles where you can put the lid in and hold it up. I think that’s kind of a neat little plus. I don’t know why they took that away in the 10 qt.
Not having to worry about burning your hand when you quick release is great. I checked on line and glad to see that the 6 Qt DUO Nova Does allow you to set the lid into the handle and Does have a removable cord. This is still a great video. Thanks Night Time Mommy !
@@barakahboutique2706 Sorry. I bought the 6 qt. I do not remember the facts about the 8 qt. Maybe if you repost the question at the top of the comments Night Time Mommy might respond. Good Luck 🙂🌎🙏
I have 2- 6qt. One with the removable cord and one with out. I HATE the removable one. It sometimes pops off the I.P. if the pot gets moved a little. Plus it's one more chord to mix up if you have other people in your home putting the cleaned dishes away. I must admit I'm going to miss having the notch/hole in the handle to rest the lid in. I wonder why they took that feature off? Maybe it weakened the handles for lifting because it is such a big pot? They only way they can get me to buy another instant pot after this one, is if they make a huge canning one. I'm thrilled they have a 10 qt and I happily ordered it today as my Valentines gift to me. Yes I Know it's not roses or candy. But this is going to last me last me a heck of a lot longer. I would said no calories, but since I'll be cooking with it, I can't. At least it will save me time and I'll be eating healthier food. (Unless it's cheesecake. Lol ) I'm looking forward to making a batch of stuffed cabbage. And wondering if I can stack the I.P. yogurt cups in this? Great video and thanks for sharing.
You know, I could see that being an issue too with other people moving the dishes around. It could easily be lost. With the 10 qt, I agree that it could be due to the weight of the appliance. It really is fairly large, but great for large meals and soups. I love it, and think it would be great for yogurt cups. It would fit a ton of them haha. Hey my valentines gift this year is going to be another air fryer, haha. I will still happily take chocolate, but a new kitchen appliance always makes me happy. Even if you do make cheesecake you will know what is going into it versus another that may have additives and what not (this is what I tell my husband when I am trying to justify eating more calories hahaha). Thanks for watching :)

Yes, of course. The 10 qt pot will hold just a little over 6.5 liters in order to fit that 2/3 mark. I personally can tell there is a huge difference in size when comparing it to my 6 qt instant pot. I love it for all of my soup recipes :)
I bought this in a 8 qt and the Duo Nova in the 8qt have the holes in the handle to hold the lid. I bought the 6qt but end up returning it bc I thought it was to small.

Hi Kyle, I don't have any experience with the power pressure cooker, however I can tell you I love the ease of cleaning with all of the instant pot pressure cookers. I have 3 currently, and the lid can be washed in the dishwasher, along with the inner pot. The main base simply needs to be wiped down. Hope this helps :)
Its too tall for my cabinets :(. I wish it would fit haha. I have my 6 qt and 3 qt stored in my kitchen but the height of 10 qt is too tall even without the lid.
Ahh I have seen that before. From what I have heard, instant pot removed the manual button, and now have the pressure cook button. Both will function the same :) Hope that helps
Instant pot created the red button as a safety feature. "The Pressure Indicator is a safety mechanism designed to alert users when the smartcooker has depressurized. When the red light is lit, do not open the lid."
Yes, its pretty big, however I love it for making large items and large batches of food. Tamale season is coming up, and this pot can fit a few dozen tamales easy :)
@@-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-... Oh yeah! And in about 30 minutes which is amazing! I was using two pots but the 10 qt saved my life haha. Im thinking, I will put up a video showing how with the 6 qt and 10 qt soon :)

Do you mean to pressure can? This is not a pressure canner so you would not want to try canning in this device since it is only a pressure cooker.
